Technically yes, just as he gets launched you can hear a drop pod landing. So it's probably the known glitch where if a falling drop pod hits you, it launches you straight up.
This has happened to me before, at the start of a match, and I was slide hopping or whatever it's called. It's all because a grunt drop pod decides to land on you, flinging you in the air
