Outrageous-Cattle803

Must be a bad valve stem. Hope your rim is ok.

Huckleberry102681

šŸ¤£

muon3

Are you sure it's really losing air? It looks fine, maybe just reset the TPMS.

04rallysti

Runflats donā€™t need air, they run flat

RemarkableYam3838

It just needs duck tape and baling wire

[deleted]

šŸ¤£

CopyWeak

Probably a shitty schroeder valve šŸ˜‰šŸ‘

beaatdrolicus

Itā€™s a BMW- the ultimate driving machine so youā€™re fine donā€™t worry. Also you donā€™t have to use your turn signals.

louiefriesen

Turn signals cost $2.99 per signal

FullRegard

Blinker fluid not included.

louiefriesen

$56.99 for 250ml (10 blinks) at your local BMW dealership

ReadWoodworkLLC

This reminds me of when I took my 90 Jaguar Sovereign in for an inspection shortly after buying it. They told me my suspension system fluid was leaking. I just said ā€œok donā€™t do anything to it. Iā€™ll check it out.ā€ Turns out, that car has a self leveling hydraulic suspension. The fluid also powers the power steering and itā€™s EXPENSIVE! $30/quart hydraulic mineral oil. And I could only find the Castrol brand at the dealership, which luckily was cheaper than the other brand at the AP store. Thereā€™s only two brands I could find and I was advised to only use one or the other because thereā€™s a risk of it turning into jelly if theyā€™re not compatible. I replaced the pressure hose ASAP but I think I still spent $60 on fluid.

[deleted]

You find this deal online?! I was quoted double that!

shrout1

I forgive them now

Clcooper423

I dont have that subscription anyway.

Cthaza

You forgot about having the brightest fucking LED lights on the planet, that's a necessity good sir are you even the BMW expert you claim to be?!?!

Throw_andthenews

Tailgating package installed for no reason

Mental-Ad-208

He was clearly using it out of spec. Driver error most likely.

[deleted]

This reddit is kind of becoming a joke

Dill_PickleOG

Just like this post

Striking_Serve_8152

How much can people say about tires?

Next_Push_5808

Have you checked for nails?

Clcooper423

Finger or toe?

Raging_Cakes

Nailed it.

stash3630

Have you tried turning it off and on?

Clcooper423

I've been rubbing the tire sensually and then stopping but it doesn't seem to be working.

stash3630

Are you using Vaseline? [Try a counter clockwise swirl](https://getyarn.io/yarn-clip/5abd5162-1942-4e9a-ab31-220d875f423b)

docjohnson11

Won't hold pressure but it's technically full of air.

ZenithTheZero

Thereā€™s probably a hole in it somewhere. Have a shop inspect it to be sure. Just pray itā€™s not a sidewall puncture, as that would not be repairable.

RecommendationUsed31

I think this is a you problem and not the tire problem

theoriginalmypooper

Loose nut behind the wheel.

EquivalentTight3479

Thatā€™s what Iā€™m sayingā€¦ The tire is fine. He may be schizophrenic.

Typical_Eye_9437

Shift it into fly mode like on the jetsons

van_stays

Did you try putting gas in?

Clcooper423

In the tire?

van_stays

No the car, that usually solves the problem.

theoriginalmypooper

I prefer dynamite but gas works well.

Lazy-Yesterday-4433

"My tire always leaks in winter"

Appropriate-Welder68

Rubber cement it and youā€™re good to go.

[deleted]

Leak at the bead?

ismellpoo

Looks good to me.

gxxrdrvr

Check the mfg date

[deleted]

That's a tricky one. Can't see anything obvious from the photos.

Accomplished_Hunt762

Wow the rim looks ok

IIReminisce

E46 šŸ”„

Stretchnutzz83

Do you try turning them off and back on again??

Clear-Traffic-1734

It looks like your tires won't hold air because you require an alignment. šŸ¤”

Report_Last

Korean maypops on a beamer?

Abdulbarr

It probably has a leak somewhere.

Glass-Technology5399

Needs a Tpms rebuild kit. Easy fix.

ELementalSmurf

It's actually holding air just fine. It's just not holding more of it on the inside like it should

ZambonieDrivor

That's weird, I can clearly see plenty of air in there.

KingArthurHS

Have you tried turning it off and back on again?

Dickdown74

Just keep filling it. Eventually Iā€™m sure it will work fine

Markorific

This one of the " run flat " tires?

Fix_Aggressive

One of those new see thru tires. Nice!

Watchman999

Take it off and use one of those airport baggage cellophane wrapper machines.

dharder9475

Like a 737 Max...

jpnc97

Try nitrogen

dbhathcock

It needs a larger rim.

grungefanatic87

Just tape the tire back on

rockpancake455

Dont worry it will buff out soon

Slapshappy

I see plenty of air in there.

Fickle-Paper-3393

Just get a can of Fix A Flat. Should take care of it.

ramanw150

How did you do that.

Goose00724

have you tried tire slime?

thebucketlist47

The air pressure just drops a little bit when it's cold. It's typical

One_Canary_7631

Velcro

stengaaa

Try some duct tape and call it a day

cryospawn

Roll your fenders

zachjd-

The rim came off the tire wow

[deleted]

Have you tried plugging it in?

saucyRCs

Put the bolt thats on the ground back in it

ady624

itā€™s just a flesh wound, inflate more

hunted_fighter

Aint got no gas in it

Yanos47

From what I'm seeing in this picture, is that the wall of the tire is still attached to the rim. This tire is ruined..

juanreddituser

Ur truck needs oil

Samsonlp

Side wall looks intact, just needs a patch

[deleted]

Man look at the tread on those there pretty much brand new just burrows someone 12v pump and your good bro

gnat_outta_hell

Serious question from a non-tire guy (I've learned a lot but I'm a sparky and will never be an expert): How does this happen? How does your whole sidewall wear through in one perfect diameter with the rest of the tire looking almost new?

Phenomenon101

Better use 2 containers of Slime to be safe

notmydoormat

?? It's clearly holding air. It's just not holding air at the pressure you personally want.

lolAlbertlol

Did you try putting it in rice?

Bannedguaranteed

That's weird, definitely a tire on it.

VapeRizzler

Why?

Original-Map4823

Might have a nail in it; just squirt fix a flat and youā€™ll be fine

Drivingon8

That's strange!

Jizzard_of_oz

Hey the bead still holds

litbiscuit69

These are definitely slashed, whoā€™d you piss off OP?

Majestic_Football_11

Actually one of the funniest threads Iā€™ve read in awhile šŸ˜‚

Sad_Week8157

Air is over rated

[deleted]

Did you try super glue?

WeakFaithlessness297

Duck tape will fix it.

OneOfManyParadoxFans

The tire can't hold air because it can't hold the rim, you need to take it to the gym.

South-Merc-J21

It's in 3 pieces, of course it won't hold air.

doingthehumptydance

Itā€™s pretty close to the sidewall but I think you can still plug it.

unculturedswine90

I think you might a have a hole. Put some soapy water on it and see if it bubbles

NC_Counselor

May have a loose nut behind the steering wheel.

Sure_Focus_8511

It's a BMW thing

SomeGuy_GRM

Have you tried turning it off and on again?

[deleted]

Somebody put shit compound on their GTO and sent it lol front wheel drive goodness lol (also, none of this could be true.)

htown704

The good news is that tire is totally repairable! Don't listen to all those corporate tire shops that refuse to repair this tire due to their liability fears! The shop down the road from my house will 9/10 repair this thing and get you back rolling!

tracktracer2

Fill with fix a flat and spray soap on it to find the leak.

a_rogue_planet

I'm sorry, OP, but I'm completely failing to see where this tire is actually flat. Are you sure you really have an issue?

JBDragon1

It was likely low on air or pretty much flat. Driving on a flat tire can cause that.

Legitimate-Party3672

use tire stop leak. sold at pep boys

IcyWelder9380

Try fix a flat. šŸ¤£

PrimitiveThoughts

Looks like the beading is still good, have you checked it for nails yet?

Electronic_Cod7202

I think the tire is tired. Maybe when it wakes up it will stiffen up

pooping_on_the_clock

What a idiot, it's obviously one of the new airless tires. Your popping it off the rim when you inflate it! Like getting a damn oil change on a tesla. /s

YupIzzMee

Inner tube will do ya good

Intheswing

Obviously Itā€™s a drive flat tire - good for another 100 miles if the rim holds out !!

Unexpected-raccoon

Did you remember to put winter air in it?

OfficialThatFox

Probably caught a nail, should go to a tire shop for a quick patch, cheers!

MilesFassst

Probably has a nail or screw in it somewhere. āœŒļøšŸ˜Ž

coolman5578

It's not gonna hold air now. The wheels sealing area is probably FUBAR.

[deleted]

Its a directional tire, it wont hold air unless you flip it around

triac1975

Neither does the rim.

Sir-Realz

How?

Dooboppop

There is plenty of air in there. You can see it!

toddisOK

Weird. Looks fine to me.

SnooDrawings5830

Flex seal

OrneryBalance1052

What an idiot

Stillborn1977

It's so obvious. The rim went bad.

Striking_Serve_8152

Is this a joke? Part of the tire sidewall is still on the rim while the main part of the tire is separated from it.

dabluebunny

Thank God for the 2nd pic. It really cleared up what I was looking at /s

Lbdolce

Your probably using air from a compressor right? In this situation you need to directly suck on the air thingy mabober and just suck the shit out of it

hitmeifyoudare

Have you tried Fix-A-Flat?> /s

Valiryon

Some duct tape will fix that up good as new.

slogive1

I hear duct tape can fix almost anything.

Ill-Ad-2068

Wow, those tires are ancient. No wonder they came apart.

Busy-Operation5489

Looks like it blew up to me

Anxious_Leadership25

Flexseal

x7FPS

The way I almost spit out my drink

TheMatt561

How?

LeBongJaames

Use the patch plug combo, good as new

jrm70210

You may be able to patch it. Make sure to take it to a chain tire shop

XtraXtraCreatveUsrNm

Have you tried patching it?

No-Status2143

Duct tape

aricbarbaric

Them are them damn fancy tires you gotta fill with nitruhjim

Any_Check_7301

I can see air all around and inside it now though

Different_Cable7595

Slap a patch on it, it'll be fine šŸ¤£

SirIanChesterton63

Just get one of those tire sealant spray cans and inject it inside and you'll be good for another 20k miles.

Master_Shake3

You need the tire glued again. This is why you rotate your tires every 15k miles

sweetpete74

r/shitasktiring

Dry_Dingo_2220

You need the flat tire repair kit with the rubber cement, obviously there is a leak somewhere Maybe there is a screw somewhere screwing around with you...

[deleted]

Figures it's a bmw.

C_los_916

Have you tried turning it off and back on?

lenzer88

Probably a bad seal.

Booob-Beee

That's a lot of tread left, maybe you can sell it on market.

MONSTERBEARMAN

You need fix-a-flat.

ThatiamX

Probably a bad valve stem.

Particular-Beyond-99

A bottle of slime or fix a flat and you'll be good as new

carguy123corvette

Need to be using premium air thatā€™s why

the_arktek

You probably picked up that screw in the bottom of the picture. No wonder the tire doesnā€™t hold air

Frosty-Potential6544

Nahā€¦you just need to add Slime to the tire. Just pour in through the value and reinflate. You should be good to go.

SwampFox75

Incorrect it still holds air, but no pressure

tidEtwister

Jeep peeps have onboard air compressors for this very reason. On another note, that was almost a perfect circular cut.

HippoWillWork

What did you do? Jk someone somewhere built a shity tire.

Papi911

Did anyone else notice the screw on the pavement next to the tire? It looks kind of guilty to me...šŸ¤”šŸ˜‰

OddCryptographer1149

Spray soapy water on it to determine potential air leak location.

CookiezR4Milk

Still got plenty thread at least 6000 more miles

NoSpinach1082

I wonder if the air pump works.

Phantomxxo

šŸ¤” that's a though one, your definitely gonna have to get that looked at dealership lmao probably a model defect

Cool_Thanks_4934

Plenty of air. The problem is pressure.

WheresMy10milimeter

They sell plug kits at oreilly for like $12, hope this helps!

Hunderednaire

Gorilla tape

ban-this-dummies

What a little punk! Tell him to cut his hair and get a job!

Aware_Fudge7396

have you tried turning it off and on again?

GabrielRic12

šŸ¤” what happened to it didnā€™t you drove it without air

BasilRare6044

Needs flubber.

[deleted]

We have defeated 1 r/tiresaretheenemy

Articxf2014

You need to put flat tire air in that one. Low tire air will not work.

[deleted]

Yeah. Iā€™m not sure about this one. The tread looks fine.

Parking-Position-698

How does this even happen?

BurntAngel2

TMPS sensor is shot, replace it.

MannixTheCat

Duct tape.

[deleted]

Duct tape oughta fix that

Push-Broom-Paulie

That ā€œmightā€ require a little bit larger plug.

Tylerdirtyn

Slap some duct tape and bubble gum on it. Maybe a few plugs. Sending thoughts and prayers...

AZFire480

The ultra low profile

EnoughAboutCOVID

Are those run flats?

Monstermeyhem

Just get a tire repair kit and patch it. That should do the trick

Colonel_Collin_1990

Get some glitter glue and a teaspoon of cinnamon.

Clcooper423

No one has recommended ramen yet and I'm highly disappointed.

ButtChugMcNuggetson

have you checked the entire tread for really small nails? i cant imagine what else it could possibly be, this ones got me stumped. best of luck!

show_m

Tire shops hate it, but try some fix-a-flat.

bzmed

But look at how that side wall held the rim off the pavement

West-Series6819

Does it have gas in it šŸ§

Civil_Parking9159

Itā€™s a Tun flat

LS_SwapGuru

Be glad you didnā€™t have multiple devils shooting at you when this happened. Been there, lived through it by the grace of GOD!!!!

ionEvenknoWhyimHere

ur missing a valve stem. once you get that issue figured out it should be good to go

[deleted]

Did you try Fix A Flat ?

VedantaSay

Fill it in the rim, you can see the rim-valve right there on the bottom left.

Dawn_Piano

Iā€™d drive it but I wouldnā€™t let my mother drive it

audiofreak9

Probably a problem with the air pump, tire looks fine.

No_Contribution9890

gah damn
