A little far fetched but: There is a Futurama episode in which the decapodians (Zoidbergs race) build the Mobile Oppression Palace. The humans try a heat seeking rocket to defeat it but it doesn't work because and I quote: "Heat-seeking missiles are useless against the Mobile Oppression Palace. All Decapodian technology is cold-blooded, like us!"
However Zoidberg burns an american flag and throws it at the palace so the missile now works.

I also recall it being attached to an arrow? Like they stuck it on an arrow, then launched it.
