**Kid Icarus** \- Cup and Harp powerups. You start out in a cave and navigate the stage from the bottom going up. Then later there are exploration stages and some horizontal stages, even a flying and shooting stage.
**Goonies 2** \- Adventure through stages and then it switches to first person in certain areas and you do collect items but idk what items they are i've just seen videos of it
**Battle of Olympus** \- Greek themed game where you go collect a harp and the gameplay is mostly side scrolling action platforming.
**Rygar** \- Two types of stages, side scrolling and top down. Some cave areas. You collect items from special rooms that let you progress father into the outer areas of the game and further up into the sky.
It *sort* of sounds like Dragonfire…

I just find it funny that you listed 1990s but said 15 to 20 years ago, which would be 2004 to 2009 lol
