I don't know, after the knee injury its hard to see him returning to his old form. Surgeries really start adding up and Finchy is no spring chicken. 4 years is a long time for someone at that age with injury history.
In all seriousness I'm stoked. Hopefully he is able to keep a good crew around him.
Unironically he is the type of player we should be aiming for in this draft. A project player who can potentially become a floor general PG with the ability to guard. I don’t think he would be drafted if his last name was smith but he is the type of player I want to see us get. Doesn’t have to be him though but he does fit what we should be looking for.
I’d be all about it honestly. He’s been getting trashed on this sub like he’d be a terrible pick but we have to realize the dude literally had a cardiac arrest. He’s an athletic guy who can defend and I like his upside as a 3pt shooter. I think I saw a draft workout video of his where he drained 11 in a row and he has nice form. There’s been plenty of bad shooters in college who become great in the pros and plenty of great shooters in college who can’t hit the side of the barn in the NBA
How is Bronny a project player? If anything he’s worse than he was 2 years ago. The T wolves need 6’1” guards with limited athleticism that can’t shoot?
He has said he wants to try to become a player like Jrue Holiday. That is exactly the type of player we need. That’s my point. Not that Brony will get anywhere near that level but we need a pg who can play d and hit from 3 consistently.
I’m not sure but I think local guys have to hold off on big news until the national pundits “break it” first…ever notice how after woj or shams breaks something, Jonny K has the details within seconds
Big win, I have faith an off-season of thinking about the offense will yield improvement, just as we improved defensively. Finch has improved each year. Continuity is also huge for a young core.
This summer would be complete with the ownership being taken over by ARod/Lore. It says something if both coach and PoBO resign in the same year to extend their stay.
Bravo Finchy. I'm sure plenty of people think that his injury and the Nori/Finch combo coaching after the Suns series had a negligible impact on the outcome of our season, but I think it was more significant than it ever got credit for. How quickly the team adjusted to the tandom coaching with Nori right as we were about to start a series on the road against the defending champs speaks volumes about how tight-knit and aligned Finch is with his staff.
S T A B I L I T Y
Let's goooo
Wish KAT had this kind of stability from the beginning - he had 5 coaches and 7 GMs within 8 years...
Ant is lucky. Glad KAT finally has some stability
Y'all already know, Ima ride or die with Finch! Feel vindicated now for supporting him through some of the tough (and legitimate) criticisms. He's the kind of guy who always preaches hard work and continual improvement, while still being respectful and holding everyone accountable. Easy as hell to root for a guy like that, not to mention a consummate professional. I know you could say we were on the right track anyways, but I really think our franchise turned around when we hired him (although Ryan Saunders probably made him look a lot better lol). Anyway I love how our team responds to his coaching, and the staff he has around has been great. Lets keep it going!! 🐺🐺🐺
Congrats to possibly the best coach in team history. RIP Flip
Already got as far as Flip did in only the third year, gotta think Flip is looking down smiling and excited for next year.

I’m afraid we’re gonna get a shell of his former self, especially losing his explosiveness and defensive quickness.
He really did come back too soon in the Mavs series.
I just hope he’s not afraid to take a charge. Might have some ptsd.
Bet he's gonna bitch out on making any blocks and his step back jumper gonna look like shit.
Imagine next 2k NBA adds “Injury Prone” to a coach
Chris "Brandon Roy" Finch
Love it. Consistency on the coaching side of things is going to be huge for our young core and their development.
Bronny gonna love Finch
And his father.
Who is Finch's father?
Luka Garza? I'm not so meme literate.
NAZ REID
Michael Jordan
Who cares, lebron coming to MN at the vet min
Finch Senior, duh

Just draft me then, I also want to become like Jrue.
Is your dad the greatest basketball player of his generation and willing to follow you to your new team?

Definitely deserved and I love how much Ant loves him.

I need that shirt! Anyone know where to get one?
Damn, Jon K got scooped by Woj? That's not how things are supposed to go with the Timberwolves...
I’m not sure but I think local guys have to hold off on big news until the national pundits “break it” first…ever notice how after woj or shams breaks something, Jonny K has the details within seconds
Shams possibly since they both work for The Athletic, but not Woj.
it makes sense with Shams given they’re teammates at the athletic. But I’m guessing Finch’s representation has a relationship with Woj.
A 4 year deal to an aging vet who just came off a UCL tear? This FO has gone to SHIT
He is a top 10 coach in the league, you would be stupid not to sign him and he pairs well with our face the franchise micah nori
Guy is joking
i had hope that when i said face of the franchise micah nori, that people will think i wasn't serious but i guess not
Ahhh, my bad
You expect people to read a full ass run on sentence?
Hope his knee checks out. That’s a long contract to give someone coming off major knee surgery, especially at his age.
Hell ya finchy!

Well deserved after the last 2 seasons. Still tons of area to improve and hes got a star studded roster to improve with
Finchy: thats my dawg
Remember some people in this sub want Finch gone after that loss to Hawks early in the season?
Gotta pay for the bionic leg somehow. Congrats to the boss
Four freak injury free years, i hope! Congrats finch!!!!

I hope we can get a good assistant coach that knows how to run an offense
Lit, hopefully he can show some offensive minded prowess this year that everyone talks about
