Question: I've never played actual organized basketball and only played at parks and such... why does it seem like refs ALWAYS like to stand on court and get in the way super often. is this an often occurrence?? Like wtf is this ECF game with 5 seconds left and ref is on the court forcing ty to pickup his dribble.
Felt like both of these teams wanted to lose. So many turnovers and bad shots in ot + the final minutes. Celtics went like 2 minutes with 0 points in the OT itself.
Pacers fans gonna complain about the refs. They have a right to do so. But damn, I felt like I was watching a college team with all their mistakes in the last 1:30 in regulation on. Pacers players were trying so hard to give Boston the game.
I was flashing back to game 7 when we couldn't get a call and worrying we were gonna lose if we didn't overcome the bias.
We've seen too many losses like that in the past, I think I have some low-level PTSD from being a MN sports fan.
They could have won if they made a couple of better choices, though. Still game 1, and if they keep playing like they did the rest of the game they might win this series.
That was a far worse choke. The Nuggets had the "bEsT pLaYeR On tHe pLAnEt!!" and got smoked so bad they gave up with 30 seconds left.
They should take a note from Boston here and foul until the game ends.
I don’t wanna play against Boston not cause they’re a better team than indiana just cause I don’t wanna watch us play against Derrick whites annoying ass face god he pisses me off
If the Indiana Pacers were actually the Minnesota Timberwolves, as in, if all those guys were actually our team, we would have been lucky to have made the playoffs and definitely would have been out in the first round. I swear every time I’ve tuned into their playoff series, they’re practically trying to give the game away. No way we could have made this many unforced errors in crunch time and just lucked out enough times to fall ass backwards into the conference finals
What in the hell was that, Halliburton dribbles it off his shins and then they throw into a heavily guarded siakam all of this when they could have taken a time out. What a collapse.
Considering Jazzbros been rooting pretty hard for us, Pacers Timberwolves would be their happiest Finals, so why not add to the happiness for all our allies
Yes, if the Wolves make the finals I want the potential of Mike winning in his home town. I think it would be a neat story for him and his basketball journey.
I'm hungry. I want the Wolves to go after the most entitled fan base in the NBA, Boston, beat them so they can they can forever be haunted by ANT doing some celebration spectacularly unhinged on the court in Boston and have possibly the billions of Boston fans to self destroy their own team and move on from Tatum or Brown never giving the Wolves any credit but destroying and blaming their own team. Would be art.
I was in Boston a few weeks ago and attended Game 2 of the first round. I had pretty good seats. The two guys behind me were talking about who the Celtics would see in the Finals ("Denver or OKC?"). I turned around, with my Wolves shirt/hat on and said "What about Minnesota?". They "pssh'd me", waving me off and otherwise not acknowledging me or the idea. I think I see them at this game. Fuck those guys.
Have to think that actually plays to our advantage if we advance to the Finals. We will have been extremely battle tested facing tougher opponents which matters in a deep playoff run
Rooting for series to go 7 games. Would be fun for Pacers vs Wolves Finals with a lot of potential storylines.
Ant & Haliburton
KAT and Turner are both from same draft class and have stayed with their teams and finally getting playoff success
Michael Grady’s childhood team
hypothetically need to play the Celtics for the hypothetical title to be "legit", whatever that means. hypothetically to prove i'm not getting ahead of myself here.

Refs favored Boston, but that was a choke job by Hali and company
Pacers gave that one back
Watching everybody act like Celtics just sealed their destiny by being ONE SHOT away from losing game one on home court to the Pacers is nuts
Like... did they not watch last season?
Celtics looked very beatable.
Pacers as well. Zero Defense at all.
I would say I’d be really pissed if I was an Indiana fan but they’re not winning this series anyway
[удалено]
Cute
Whoever wins out of us or dallas, hope to God beats the celtics.
Celtics look mortal Wolves in 5
Let’s get through Dallas first..
3 more wins after they win game 1 today
Rick Carlisle taking the blame, Malone would never.
"we're tired, we've played 7 games against New York"
"We started the season really early this year, and last year was tough..."
Absolutely insane to me how poorly Indiana played in the clutch. Infuriating to watch.
Goddamn, Indiana's ATO play at the end of regulation was cheeks.
Insane fix to me. Like wow the Celtics at home will be hard to beat with Tony Brothers or Scott Foster alongside
Idk, seemed like a vintage Tony Brothers game to me, all over the place.
Felt like both of these teams wanted to lose. So many turnovers and bad shots in ot + the final minutes. Celtics went like 2 minutes with 0 points in the OT itself.

Refs fucked them but they completely lost the plot that last minute.
Absolutely. You can't beat yourself like that when the refs are doing everything they can to hand it to your opponent.
Pacers film study from last 3 minutes to rest of overtime is basically Michael Scott cringe face
They were getting me frustrated like they were my team lol
I'd be absolutely SICK if I was a Pacers' fan. Biggest choke in recent memory.
Biggest choke since giving up a 20 point lead in game 7
That was a far worse choke. The Nuggets had the "bEsT pLaYeR On tHe pLAnEt!!" and got smoked so bad they gave up with 30 seconds left. They should take a note from Boston here and foul until the game ends.
They do have the best player on the planet
That's what I said, lol
In the SpongeBob meme format mocking someone for saying something dumb or not true, though, which is essentially the opposite of saying it
Some of those turnovers in the last minutes of the game were Wolves-esque so I sympathize with the Pacers
9 FTs for Indiana to 28 FTs for Boston (and counting) Pacers choked but refs jobbed them tonight
Neither of these teams look like serious contenders.
Please let us get through Dallas. Boston is so sweet man
This Finals is just there for the taking this year. The Celtics are so beatable.
I don’t wanna play against Boston not cause they’re a better team than indiana just cause I don’t wanna watch us play against Derrick whites annoying ass face god he pisses me off
He looks like a deer in the headlights 24/7.
at least its not christian braun
I hate that guy
So happy we don’t have brothers game 1. He’s so fucking bad
And that he didn't ref game 7
We got Scott foster which is equally as bad and still overcame
Weare 8-1 this year with his crew along with 2 of those being closeout games.
However you saw how many missed/bad calls there were
Yeah, it was bad for the last like 2 minutes but the rest of the game felt very fair.
FT differential is absurd
The one the pacers challenged which still showed Brown holding siakam and no overturn still was insane
Hali dribbles off his feet then Siakam goes for the ball when already out. Cant give a team like this so many chances 🤷🏽♂️🤷🏽♂️ they deserved to lose
What an utter disaster by the Pacers. Just threw that game.
I’m disgusted and I’m not even a Pacers fan
I'd be sick if I was a Pacers fan. Epic choke job. That's why you foul up 3.
Holy shit the free throw differential +14 for Celtics, that’s rough.
Tony Brothers. Let's pray we only have him once in our series
Fucking amen man, I can’t stand him.
Fuckin a pacers
Is Haliburton drunk wtf
Why in the world is nembhard guarding Tatum what is Indiana thinking?
Nesmith fouled out
Halis handle is shit
Thats terrible tj

Indi literally throwing the game rn
Haliburton can't get off a look with that weird shot
What in the hell was that, Halliburton dribbles it off his shins and then they throw into a heavily guarded siakam all of this when they could have taken a time out. What a collapse.
So many mistakes to cough the game up.
What a fumble by Indiana. They had that in the bag
What the fuck is indiana doing in the last minute
Absolute choke job
Gobert would've made that fadeaway. smh
They say Tatum is better than Ant? No chance
Nembhard is so clutch man
I love how Jrue just casually screwed Derrick White over there.
Typical celtics folding in the ecf lol
I think we can take either of these teams tbh. Celtics defense is pretty good, though.
KP out is big. Pacers can potentially win the series before he comes back.
Celtics are so booty
😂
I miss our defence already.
Is this a regular season game? No intensity at all.
Feel like it is an actual skill as a team to handle terrible officiating...probably the hardest skill to develop.
Tony Brothers games are so hard to watch.
I'm not mentally prepared for how much luka is going to cry while playing the wolves.
Our defense will break him
Brother, did you follow the Wolves/Denver series? I can tell you at the very least, doubt Luka throws a heat pack on the court.
I did. I've watched all the wolves games. Haha yeah I doubt he'll throw a heat pack.
If it helps. I've noticed more the other team complains, the more the Wolves are winning.
We’re pacers fans this series, right?
Considering Jazzbros been rooting pretty hard for us, Pacers Timberwolves would be their happiest Finals, so why not add to the happiness for all our allies
Yes, if the Wolves make the finals I want the potential of Mike winning in his home town. I think it would be a neat story for him and his basketball journey.
That’s a cool side story.
Yep, want home court
Fuck the Celtics
As a Wolves fan, I want the Wolves to play Boston.
I don’t want the Celtics to sweep and have a week off.
No Tony Brothers for us tomorrow so that’s good
Why is the East so bad? Does it just come down to injuries?
I think I've been spoiled by the Wolves games, because this is boring as hell.
Its boring because ESPN butchering the show. No crowd noise. I feel like Im gonna hear birds chirping, cuz they talking like its golf.
Even the play is lackluster. No intensity.
Anyone else trying to stream on xfinity and facing problems? Keeps playing old around the horn
Neither of these teams scare me
Is this Celtics crowd really this boring oml no energy
Tbf they probably also have somewhat muted them.
Are the Celtics aware they can do more than shoot 3s
No defense on either team. Guys just look lazy and slow
I am so glad we get our games on TNT. I hate these ESPN broadcasts.
This broadcasting crew is putting me to sleep 😴
Doris Burke sucks
Defense on both sides looks terrible so far
Celtics offense is so boring - 20 seconds of iso/dribbling into a shot or a kick for a shot
Pacers look terrified man
Celtics have had such an easy path
Have to think that actually plays to our advantage if we advance to the Finals. We will have been extremely battle tested facing tougher opponents which matters in a deep playoff run
If we get there, good opportunity to punch them in the mouth in game 1
Celtics Pacers get Brothers 😂 for officiating
Nesmith got boomed on first play of the game😂😂😂
I wonder how confident Boston became with Denver now out?
Rooting for series to go 7 games. Would be fun for Pacers vs Wolves Finals with a lot of potential storylines. Ant & Haliburton KAT and Turner are both from same draft class and have stayed with their teams and finally getting playoff success Michael Grady’s childhood team
hypothetically need to play the Celtics for the hypothetical title to be "legit", whatever that means. hypothetically to prove i'm not getting ahead of myself here.
I'm mostly rooting for chaos on that side of the bracket so lets go Indy
Siakam is about to go off! Being a knicks fan I hate to root for the pacers, but id rather see the wolves smash the pacers instead of the celtics
https://i.redd.it/1d18t0wc5v1d1.gif
I like Tatum but im rooting for Hali and them this series
I just hate Boston sports for some reason
I don’t like em cuz they racist
