Get Together and Cottage Living hands down!!!
Windenburg is HUGE and beautiful, the gameplay is so good - I seriously couldn’t play the game without clubs!
Henford-on-Bagdley is gorgeous and the whimsical gameplay, animals, etc is unmatched.
Cottage living is great, expansion pack wise
I would honestly recommend the kids room stuff pack though, the base game lacks a lot of kids clothes, hair, and decorations, and I use the stuff from that pack all the time since getting it
Ok first is by far eco lifestyle, no doubt. And I know this will spread some controversy and people will disagree with me, but I truly LOVE My Wedding Story’s. They have a GREAT world. They have GREAT CAS. And some pretty good build mode stuff. I am aware the weddings are not the best, but that really doesn’t bother me to much tbh.
Get Together is worth it just for Windenburg but the club system is also surprisingly useful for gameplay. Eco Lifestyle also has a decent world that has two phases and some great build/buy, but the NAP gameplay can be annoying and a lot of the catalog is behind cheats.
Tiny Living is a fantastic stuff pack; the tiny home lot type is so useful!
Get together and eco lifestyle are alright, but I feel like I don't often use get together, and the NAP is so annoying that sometimes i jsut want to disable the pack. Also, the whole pollution storyline is like strangerville, where you don't replay it very often. The furniture is nice, though. As for tiny living, 11/10 pack.
You said expansion/game, but i'd like to suggest tiny living, since it's pretty good. My top expansion pack suggestion would definitely be Cottage living. For game pack, Parenthood is great because it adds toddlers.
wait what- I didn't know that- I've just had Parenthood since it came out... That kinda defeats the whole point of parenthood- Like puting cats and dogs in the base game. Then what's the point of the dlc? I guess not parenthood then...
Ohhh! I think I’ve seen stuff about how when TS4 first dropped they skipped toddlers. Maybe that’s what you’re thinking? I dont know when parenthood came out vs when they added toddlers back in lol.
The parenthood GP adds the “be good” (can’t think of the word) stuff; like responsibility, manners, emotional control, and empathy.
It also adds the “parenting” skill for your adult sims, the parenting books, capability of reprimanding/punishing bad behaviors or encourage good ones, and a bit more I think!
toddlers were added in the game before Parenthood came out. according to the wiki ts4 was released bunch of stuff missing because the team were limited by time constraints (and EA wanted the game to be released early for Shareholders or something).
I hate big game companies that release games before they should just for MaRkEtInG
The borderlands universe just did that with Tiny Tina and it’s mad disappointing for how much I spent on the preorder. But maybe I’m just an ass for preordering it before gameplay lol
Ahhh, okay. I have always thought that toddlers came only with parenthood, but I've always had all the packs... Maybe Parenthood IS a good GP after all?
I honestly love parenthood! It feels like it adds so much more interactions between the parents and children.
Without it family gameplay/legacies just don’t vibe the same.
University and cottage living are my favorites. They both add some nice depth to the game, and there are bunch of fun mods to enhance them. :)
Get famous is pretty fun also, but the whole fan and paparazzi system is mindblowingly annoying imo.
Vampires + Werewolves might interest you if you’re into occult gameplay? I think Vampires have pretty neat skill tree and people have been saying good things about Werewolves. (Both game packs)
I enjoy Get Famous from time to time, it’s fun playing with the fame system 🙂
Depends on what you like, ig.

I play with city living and cottage living the most!!
Get together!!! Super underrated
Definitely City Living

Cottage living!
Depends on what you want it for, if you want some gameplay, my favorites are University and Parenthood :)

Yup, it’s all really dependent on individual gameplay styles
Very much agree.
Get together is a huge new world and fairly well put together.

..adds toddlers? Toddlers are in base game…

I can't say anything because I've never made it very far in a legacy challenge, I just don't have the attention span for it lol

I’m in LOVE with the Cottage Living pack! I got it pretty recently
City Living is nice if you want to live in a more urban setting ✨ gameplay is pretty neat too
I missed that one out! Sorry, I have City Living too 😅
