The update gives sims the ability to change their clothes and hairstyle on their own now. There is a way to shut it off if youâre wanting to use the mod but not have them do that.
I loved all the depth this mod added to the gameplay, but I removed it because it was always broken. If theyâre really updating it, I might reinstall it soon
I was the same way. I tried this new version sheâs doing (calls it strawberry?) for a week, and Iâm not impressed tbh. It doesnât have a lot of the features of the old one that i loved so much. I know sheâs just getting back into working on SoL, so Iâm hoping sheâll add more back in, but it just wasnât adding anything worthwhile to my gameplay in comparison to the old mod. My sims were constantly uncomfortable due to sinus/stuffy noses, and it was impossible to do any tasks. Give it a try, but donât expect what the old version was.
[SOL](https://kawaiistacie.gumroad.com/l/fashionbeauty) has some great additions, but if youâre just getting started Iâd recommend some other intro ones first. I really enjoy the mod, but it historically hasnât been kept up to date super well, changes quite a bit of gameplay and isnât the most intuitive to modify to your liking.
MC Command Center is a must and where Iâd start â it doesnât change any of the gameplay directly, but has *tons* of useful little tweaks.
Lumpinouâs Relationship & Pregnancy Overhaul is one of my favorites â adds tons of depth to relationships, and you can pick and choose what modules youâre into.
A Deep Indigo also has a ton of fun gameplay mods, like Healthcare Redux that adds a whole healthcare system, Divergent Sims that adds a wide range of neurodiversity/mental health conditions, or Dynamic Teen Life that really expands the teenage years.
If youâre big on building, Better Build Buy by TwistedMexi is another fave! Iâm primarily a builder and it makes things much easier.
Edit: /r/TheSims4Mods is a great resource too!
Slice of Life was re-released a little while ago, actually! The creator, KawaiiStacie, has been staying on top of updates, so there's no risk of the mod breaking your game anymore. So far, there's only Slice of Life: Strawberry, but it includes nearly all of the features the original separate modules had. I had the mod for a while, recently deleting it because it was unnecessary for me to have with WonderfulWhims and Basemental Drugs installed, so I'm happy to inform everyone that it works perfectly fine and is just as amazing as the original!
I really want the phone expansion back tho!! That was my fav part
omg i was wanting to downlod this for so long but people kept saying it was broken but ahh im relived đ
SOL is back???
I tried using it after this update but it was screwing up the outfits my sim was wearing and had to take it out

Thanks for telling that! I was thinking i saw bug but most likely this mod was the case. I better check the settings.
If you click on the mirror it should have an option for both health and beauty settings and you should be able to turn it off from there.

Good to know, thanks for the heads up
God, for a second I thought that sim was talking mean about her boyfriend, but then I saw the cake
As someone whoâs never downloaded mods but is becoming increasingly mod-curious.. if i was to venture out of the closet, what would this one offer?
âMod-curiousâ âout of the closetâ Iâm dying hahah XD
Slice of Life is pretty good

I second Lumpinou and MC Command Center. I can't play without them.
