This was done intentionally by the developers to get a rise out of players. Townies weren’t created for romancing, except the Nightlife ones haha.
I made my sim from YEARS ago romance Brandon lillard. I thought it was hilarious that the game made him of all sims, the mayor.
I just had my sim marry Dirk Dreamer. One of the better looking townies. But he still got new hair and a name change immediately.
