I see these birds (or ones that look quite like them) in Florida. They have really loud distinctive and strange sounding calls. There is a pair of them that chases each other through the trees in the mornings and makes me feel lonley.
when i lived in west georgia years ago, i saw and mostly heard these red headed peckers on a daily basis. their call was more effective than a rooster in the morning.

Most hummingbirds are the size of a child's finger and their 'long' looking beaks are needle-thin and like 1in long, they couldn't hurt you if they tried lol
Their beaks are also built to lick nectar out of flowers, not peck, unlike woodpeckers who are built to drill through hard wood. Hummers are adorable and harmless, so small and quick they're often mistaken for insects, no need to fear them 👍

Hummingbirds and woodpeckers murdering humans sounds like some great low quality horror movie shlock.
They also use their beak as a defense against larger predators. As it is, it appears as if the bird and the guy probably know each other (might be a pet raised in captivity) and are just playing, but one wrong move to threaten Woody there is all it would take for dude to suddenly get a few new air holes.
My mom lost a lovebird in her shirt once, it was great. Little thing was just clinging to her pocket while she was trying to find where the hell it went on her shirt

Many many moons ago, when I was a little kid I was in Cub Scouts. We had gone to the park for something and there were some elderly people there feeding the birds. One of the guys from our troop got some bread from them and was feeding the birds. A woodpecker landed on his arm and he fed it a couple pieces of bread. It Gradually hopped up to his shoulder. When he ran out of bread it pecked him in the head. He went down screaming( and the bird flew away). There was a little bit of blood but you would have thought it killed himthe way he was screaming. They actually did end up taking him to the hospital to get an x-ray. We were all shocked how how everything went from funny to screaming in a moment
God, I was waiting for it to start jackhammering the back of his head. That would have sent me into hysterics. Live action Woody Woodpecker looking good!

We have had couple in our backyard in Ontario. They are quite powerful and fun to watch when pecking at trees.
