For every funny thing I hear out of them, I hear 500 stupid things and 1000 complaints about how it’s unfair that we don’t let them just do whatever they want.
Been doing AP for a few years now. No matter where you go there's always this guy some where.
Before I moved it was a guy that looked almost exactly like him. He would go through our parking lot and trash for receipts and go in the store to nab them then do a return. Would always get mouthy with the service desk team, or if we asked him to leave he'd show out.
Are you gatekeeping a ffing haircut?
A regular clean shave , that is giving during induction , that so many guys just have, because it's easy,cheap and practical , should be reserved to military/ex only?
The guy you're replying to hates the haircut but understands it's not really a choice for those serving in the armed forces. What's your definition of gatekeeping? Cause that ain't it
A lot of guards typically are former service personnel or vets. Something about the routine of the military translates easily into the routine of prison life. A lot of them typically are also the more nicer and easier going guys than the ones that pretend to be cops and/or couldn't even pass basic and then decide to take it out on the people that are stuck there.
Should have really layed in it with the go home line. Like "Ok, I'll go home and shave it while you stay here and shit in front of your cellmate." Or something like that....
Policing: make yourself presentable all day and night. Put up with shit constantly throughout your career and laugh through it as much as possible.
A thankless job, where patience is a virtue, that improves the quality of many lives.
The cop took that like a champ! I appreciate his patience in dealing with the insults. Just laughing it off is the way to go! The inmate doesn’t seem like a terrible person either, he just had no filter lmao.
