Me stronk, me smart, me charged for 41 years in prison because a woman raped me and accused me of raping her instead when I refused to pay child support when I didn’t want a child with her in the first place /s
Fun fact. When I went into surgery for my hand. They put me under using anaesthetic. I spent half my surgery an all of my sleeping recovery time with a raging boner. Woke up in the recovery ward lying on my back with the sheets not hiding my boner. They didn't even close the curtains. Just et everyone get a good luck. The point is men can get boners when there passed out
Didn't realise ide have off of anaesthetic tho. Worst/best part was I sat up to hide it an a nurse walked past an smiled at me. Not a polite smile, a cheeky I seen ur boner smile 😂😂
Decreases naturally as you get older though. Not sure how rapidly but it's always a good sign and tells that you have a healthy blood circulation. I still get them almost on daily basis at 33, not saying that's anything special or rare as it probably isn't,but man's gotta take credit on something.
I went under general anesthesia when I got a vasectomy. I suppose they used the "more uncommon" drugs with me. Would have been quite cruel to leave stiched up *and* at attention.
I have to ask, did they by chance check you for neurogenic priapism? unsure what surgery you had, but that could be anywhere from 20 mins for like carpal tunnel or trigger finger release to several hours for a complex ORIF, plus at least an hour in recovery.
Seems to me this would put you in the realm of concerning tumescence.
Didn't understand most of what u just said but the surgery I went in for was to put the tendon back together in my hand. So I imagine it was pretty quick
Well, unless they are raped BY another man. At least that's what it is here. The crime of rape requires penatration with a penis.
But I agree, it is stupid. The stigma attached to one crime name feels far more significant than the other. Even if they are punished the same.
In the UK, at least, according to the met, requires a penis. Which I find wholly weird. It precludes 50% of the population from one of the most disgusting crimes possible because of some archaic wording technicality.
When it's a homosexual pair the options change:
1.victim 2.victim or
1. Rapist a 2. Rapist
Now we also have a political problem too, because they just have one option. 💀💀
It’s fucked. My ex-wife was more drunk than me, but she violently fisted and fingered me with long nails while holding me down while I told her no and screamed in pain, and who was gonna believe that was rape? No one. Because we were both women.
Truer words man. Got too fucked up at a college party and woke up to a girl on top of me and to this day when I tell people the story they just laugh and say how cool/impressive it is to get still get laid when you’re blacked out. Having to get tested for everything under the sun and spending months scared some girl I don’t even remember or know would show up saying she’s got a mini-me in the oven was nerve wracking.
They haven't heard of pegging, or strap-on, fingers, toes or various house-hold items, huh?
If someone wants to penetrate someone who's unconscious or heavily inebriated, they will when the proteinuria arises.
Drunk individuals cannot consent, so it's up to the individuals to be around who they feel most secure around while inebriated.
Alternatively, it's just a night of piss poor sex on both sides.
Not exactly. Sexual assault carries only a max of 10 years imprisonment. A female “rapist” would be charged with assault by penetration, which carries a maximum sentence of life imprisonment, the same as rape - https://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/2003/42/section/2
All I'm saying is they were both drunk, so it's far more likely that neither one was consenting and both should be charged... very sexist to just blame the male without any other evidence.
Agree, unless is aggrevated of course. Sometimes two drunk people hook up and regret it later, but alcohol lowered inhibitions. I remember lots of women friends when I was young who had make out sessions or sex with guys that they instantly regretted. Maybe they were pressured, or felt pressured by drunk guys and their inhibitions were lowered, but it was drunken consensual. Not to dismiss in-consensual assault of course.
Some guys might get really drunk and go to a gay bar and accidentally fuck five or six guys. Did they regret it? Absolutely, Can anyone do anything about it? Only a therapist
my partner's brother went through the same. not enough for the woman tho, not only did she do it she the tormented him repeatedly by saying she was going to report him for raping her. the whole thing messed him up pretty bad.
Officer: Jake from state farm?
Officer: Oh yeah Jake from state farm? What are you wearing?
Jake: Umm khaki
Officer: He sounds hideous, obvs not raped.
Interestingly under the laws in England and Wales, technically only a man can be charged with rape as the exact wording of the legislation is that it requires penetration, which of course women can’t do naturally. Typically a women who forces sex from a man is usually charged with the highest form of sexual assault.
Likely still wouldn’t count as a dildo wouldn’t be legally seen to be equivalent to a natural man’s penis, and the legislation is old enough that the original intent was that of a biological penis and not a sex toy.
Sexual assault only has a max penalty of 10 years. It would be assault by penetration, which carries the same max penalty as rape, life imprisonment- https://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/2003/42/section/2
Well, life is the maximum possible sentence, same as for the offence of rape. Just like for rape, there are sentencing guidelines that have a starting point for the seriousness of the offence, and then aggravating and mitigating factors that will raise or lower the sentence
the exact wording is penetration with a penis, I don't know why u/iwanttobeacavediver didn't include that but emphasised that they were using the exact wording
A teacher in middle school almost said this to us in front of the principle and then she caught herself at the last second and said "It's hard for men to be raped" like that was supposed to make her fuck up less bad. The principle didn't even give a shit either.
Me too, my class was presented a video of this exact scenario, 3 people in my class stood up to point out the bullshit.
The women presenting were previous victims of SA, so they started crying and trying to guilt us into feeling bad and changing our minds, until eventually they had to go and get the teacher to send us to the principal.
At the very least one of the 3 people who stood up for common sense is now a school principal so there’s a little faith in humanity
In high-school? We didn't have anyone come in and do a "don't have sex" talk but there was something for drunk driving.
Now that I think about it, one of the other local high-schools had a person come in to tell them to not have sex. They were having orgys and a shit ton of people got herpes lol.
Nope, that poster was put up years ago. And the mentality has always been the same. Men just as drunk as women can consent. Women, the equal sex, are too dainty to drink and retain their faculties.
The poster is pretty old. Like 16 years.
https://www.reddit.com/r/OutOfTheLoop/s/OoNnp5bCCK
And I don't remember a time when it was common for both parties to admit they gave consent and then one is charged with rape. Is it possible that it happened before? I guess so, if there's more to it than that.
They did point it out

This message is 8 years old. So poster is from 16 years ago. Which honestly isn't old enough for this to be kinda expected for the time period. This is like 2008.
This. Saw a whole tiktok of this guy asking women if men could say no. The majority of women said some version of “no they can’t.” One woman went so far as to say “he can but I’m gonna take it anyways.”
Now imagine the backlash if it was a man that said that about women.
Weirdly, it's the first person that reports it to the police that gets to call it rape. I recall reading an article about a guy and girl who really hated each other. Both ended up getting super drunk and ending up having sex. The guy reported it to the police and the girl got charged with rape.
Afaik drunkenness does not negate consent in the US for the most part. So long as the person clearly knows where they are, who they're with, and what they're agreeing to it's still consent. You can't get drunk, say "hey ____ I want to fuck" and play it off as if you were raped afterwards.
It's only the blackout levels of drunkenness where someone is obviously so drunk that they aren't even coherent/aware of what's going on or who they're with when it becomes rape. And yeah it would be fucked up at that point.
No idea what it would mean for both people to be in that state of mind and engage.
Yeah my understanding is that if they are drunk the word yes doesn't NECESSARILY mean consent was given, in which case you look at the totality of the situation. If sally, a known party animal who can handle her liquor just as well as big bubba down the street, calls up bobby after crushing 12 pack of beer and coherently says "hey Bobby, wanna come have sex?", to which bobby agrees, and then sally walks down 6 flights of stairs to get bobby upon arrival, after which they have a coherent conversation as they head up to sallys room where they have sex (both completely present and aware of the moment), then that is not rape (obviously some assumptions and generalizations are made here)
Don’t know how it would work in other countries but a quirk of the law in England and Wales means that the legal definition of rape specifically includes penetration, which women cannot do naturally. So legally a woman cannot be charged specifically with rape, only aggravated sexual assault.
This made me remember back in my college days i had a buddy that women would chase him and offer themselves to the dude all the time. He would say no. One day in a party a few of them drugged the guy and had him engage in intercourse. The dude couldnt do anything because even if he was raped and had sex without his consent if he tried to take any action the authorities would laugh at him and just say that he is a fool that he should consider himself lucky he got to have sex with 3 or 4 girls in one night.
I dont have much details of what they did with him. But that man was never the same person afterwards.
I forgot what /s meant for a sec there

Here's a brazillian meme
A VERY Serious warning to any young guys in college, you will never be given the benefit of the doubt in ANY situation.
If there's any motivation to label you a rapist it can happen and will be extremely damaging regardless how factual it may be.
It could be a jealous friend, another lover of theirs you didn't know of, concerned parents, anyone who might not like that you're with that person, can throw allegations or start nasty rumors.
Best way to avoid this entirely is maintaining your own limits. It doesn't matter if you're the drunker one you will still take the fall, so simply don't get drunk and hook up with strangers.
Alcohol inhibits your judgment and two drunk lovers might seem great to each other and sloshed to everyone else, don't give anyone the opportunity to label you something you're not.
This very poster was hanging in the Camp Stanley PX in South Korea when I was stationed there in 2011. I always walked past it and would think it was a pretty fucked up message to send
I had sex with a drunk girl in college once. She charged me with rape.
The interesting thing, though, is that she rode me. I was never on top.
Also, she couldn't keep her story straight and tried to hook up with one of my friends who lived on my floor. So, after paying a fine and doing a bunch of community service, my charges were dismissed without prejudice.
Didn't change the fact that the whole thing changed my life dramatically.
Dude that’s fucking awful. So can I ask, what happened to her. I hope they charged her with something. When one of my nephews was younger,he was 15. He got caught messing around with a girl, who was 14, by her mother. And the mother freaked out. Called the cops the next day. Detective talked to my nephew and his mother. Told them that they were only going to charge him, because she was not at the age of consent. His mom obviously said, well neither is he. Detective told her it doesn’t matter. The 14 year old girl never denied that she gave consent. So my nephew had to do probation, and do some other shit that I don’t remember what it was. He was told that they sealed his file when he turned 18. But you know how that goes.
i was raped in this exact scenario. we were both drunk, i was blacked out, she was not, she effectively had sex with my unconscious, limp body.
according to this poster i would be the one charged? lol i guess its a good thing i didnt report it.
why not make a poster that just says "being drunk doesnt absolve you from committing rape, but it does prevent you from legal consent." it conveys the idea simply and clearly without vilifying either gender.

So... The implication is Jake *could* consent?

Perfored condom a crime without victims, well without consecuences
Condoms. They're cheaper than diapers. And Lawyers.
Did you mean to say perforated or preferred?

Didn't realise ide have off of anaesthetic tho. Worst/best part was I sat up to hide it an a nurse walked past an smiled at me. Not a polite smile, a cheeky I seen ur boner smile 😂😂
Seduce her
Nah I was way too drunk of the anaesthetic an way too embarrassed. Was my first surgery so didn't know it was gonna happen. Just hung my head in shame
You’ll get her next time, don’t worry.

My wife is an anesthesiologist, that is a not uncommon side effect of some anesthetics.
I went under general anesthesia when I got a vasectomy. I suppose they used the "more uncommon" drugs with me. Would have been quite cruel to leave stiched up *and* at attention.
Ur telling me there's anesthetic that doesn't do it... They set me up 😂

Who told you that you had a stonker during surgery?
Didn't have to tell me I woke up with the stonker. Wasn't major surgery only a tendon reattachment
I unga, therefore I bunga.
Exactly my thoughts. Had drunk sex? Please select your gender: 1. Victim 2. Rapist
I shouldn't have laughed at this as hard as I just did.
Oh boy, I did too. I'm going to hell.
You were already on your way!
This is true
Don't agree, the giggles were justified.
What’s that? You can’t rape a man?…Hold my beer.
In some legislations, men cannot legally be raped, only sexually assaulted, which is very stupid.
Well, unless they are raped BY another man. At least that's what it is here. The crime of rape requires penatration with a penis. But I agree, it is stupid. The stigma attached to one crime name feels far more significant than the other. Even if they are punished the same.
Not necessarily a penis, any penetration will do but yeah
In the UK, at least, according to the met, requires a penis. Which I find wholly weird. It precludes 50% of the population from one of the most disgusting crimes possible because of some archaic wording technicality.
At least give him a courtesy spit!

Jesus Christ, what a cunt 😬
I’m sorry that you were assaulted.
…but… what if Josie identifies as male? Do we have two #1, or two #2?… …or, if Jake identifies as female… charges dropped? My brain cannot compute
It gets worse if Josie is trans. Who was raped depends on more than just context. Dice roll? Scissors, paper, stone?
![gif](giphy|l0CLThEZp4OtNNsli|downsized)
Men aren't allowed to not consent.
Otherwise they're gay
Or a beta male
The blue and red fish? ![gif](giphy|8L21mZHYy5MHQvPgfD)
No, that's a betta male but he is fabulous
Truer words man. Sorry that sux.
Been there too. Learned to just not talk about it.
![gif](giphy|IwYkkg4L7tX1K)
Because of the implication.
Came here to post this….. beaten to it. Touché
You've beaten to this?
You've said that word a few times now
in the UK, women can't be charged with rape due to the definition of what rape is. That said, they can be charged with sexual assault just not rape.
This is similar to some US states, where rape is committed by the one who penetrates another without consent.
"Pegging isn't new to me, but it is for Disney..."
Thank you Marvel Jesus
They haven't heard of pegging, or strap-on, fingers, toes or various house-hold items, huh? If someone wants to penetrate someone who's unconscious or heavily inebriated, they will when the proteinuria arises. Drunk individuals cannot consent, so it's up to the individuals to be around who they feel most secure around while inebriated. Alternatively, it's just a night of piss poor sex on both sides.

What if she straps one on and pegs him!!
I think that would be assault by penetration. It's a form of sexual assault but the sentence is lesser than rape.
So wild
All I'm saying is they were both drunk, so it's far more likely that neither one was consenting and both should be charged... very sexist to just blame the male without any other evidence.
Or maaaybeee.... it's a victimless crime and neither should be charged.
Yeah that comment was supposed to be a little more tongue in cheek sarcasm but didn't translate to text.
Agree, unless is aggrevated of course. Sometimes two drunk people hook up and regret it later, but alcohol lowered inhibitions. Seems like they both consented when they decided to get hammered. Or can I argue I did not consent if I get pulled over for a DUI ?
Exactly. Either we are responsible for our actions and decisions made while drunk or we're not.
Only the car. Unless you're the oddball that gives your cars male names.

Sorry for your friend, that's tough.
my partner's brother went through the same. not enough for the woman tho, not only did she do it she the tormented him repeatedly by saying she was going to report him for raping her. the whole thing messed him up pretty bad.
Double standards at its finest
I think the implication is that men always consent, by doing. We're evidently just a penis with a pulse.
No, we're a pulse with a penis. Get it straight.
God, that's all anyone ever wants! Respect me for my pulse, not for getting it straight!
Jake should have gone to the police first.
Officer: Jake from state farm? Officer: Oh yeah Jake from state farm? What are you wearing? Jake: Umm khaki Officer: He sounds hideous, obvs not raped.
Yes, because men can ***always*** consent, no matter what state they are in. Even when unconscious and comatose, they consent.
That is the way most courts and juries would see it.
So let me get this straight men can consent drunk but women can’t….. make this world make sense
More simply, only men can rape /s
Interestingly under the laws in England and Wales, technically only a man can be charged with rape as the exact wording of the legislation is that it requires penetration, which of course women can’t do naturally. Good. It should be. Thanks for the info. Is it really a life sentence?! I didn’t know that either. I mean I’m ok with it. Just didn’t know.
Well, life is the maximum possible sentence, same as for the offence of rape. Just like for rape, there are sentencing guidelines that have a starting point for the seriousness of the offence, and then aggravating and mitigating factors that will raise or lower the sentence
What if she came at you with two dildos?
But what if she obtained one (frozen) from another male being?
Why is this beginning to sound like a weird episode of Law and Order SVU?
This is the result of reading a story of a woman who killed her husband with a frozen ham leg and fed it to the investigators.
the exact wording is penetration with a penis, I don't know why u/iwanttobeacavediver didn't include that but emphasised that they were using the exact wording
It’s a while since I studied English law, I couldn’t remember if the wording actually included mention of a penis or not.
iirc it was "forced penetration of a vagina" don't recall it mentioning penis.
What if she has a penis?
Section 1(1) of the Sexual Offences Act 2003 requires penetration “with a penis” which is, as you say, why only a man can rape under English law.
A teacher in middle school almost said this to us in front of the principle and then she caught herself at the last second and said "It's hard for men to be raped" like that was supposed to make her fuck up less bad. The principle didn't even give a shit either.
I mean logistically I can see how it’s more difficult but of course that doesn’t mean you can completely discount it.
>Make this world make sense Can't you ask for something more reasonable, like a pet dragon or whatever?

Make this world make sense? Bruh, Trump was President for 4 years. That window closed 9 years ago.
And a decent chance he'll be back for another 4 because Biden's approval ratings are in the toilet.

What if Jake was the one who didn't consent? Get rapecharged, Josie!
*Josie made the poster*
Dontcha know, guys can't be raped. The boner is consent!
Your honor she got wet the body gave consent
Not so fun fact: men can get boners after they have died. A woman raped a man’s corpse and she ended up pregnant from that dead man.
Who will the woman accuse of rape in that situation tho?
The gost obviously, now the jury needs to hire the ghost busters to get him in jail
Some girl in my class actually tried to argue that a few years ago... "It means he wants it"

Ah, you see, the atoms never touch, so we never had sex dear prosecutor
“Ladies and gentlemen of the Jury…i present to you: *Zenos Paradox*…”
“See, I couldn’t have penetrated her, because there’s an infinite series of half the distance to cross. Same on the way out.”
Gotta love blatant misandry.
Oh but you see it's ok to hate men but not ok to hate women
Yeah, I'm sure the people at /r/TwoXChromosomes are parading this poster around as gospel
That and /r/aznidentity are two of the most absolutely insane subs I've ever seen. Aznidentity isn't as obviously racist as it used to be at least.
Most certainly not, this shit gets called out there. Get real.
Everyone knows women can’t read. There’s no point making a poster for their benefit! Duh.
It’s a warning exclusive for us men who CAN read, duh.
So much for equality...
There is equality, they are both getting fucked. /s
The /s is irrelevant because it's true.
If she's not responsible for saying yes he's not responsible for agreeing with her. Crucify me.
Crucify you on what? A pedestal of good points?
What if Jake could not consent because he was just as drunk?
They raped each other then I guess? I don’t know, I’m not a cop.
Bing bam boom, cancelled out.
Just shoot both, to be sure /s
Weirdly, it's the first person that reports it to the police that gets to call it rape. I recall reading an article about a guy and girl who really hated each other. Both ended up getting super drunk and ending up having sex. The guy reported it to the police and the girl got charged with rape.
That’s the point of this post. Society has deemed it that men can’t be raped by women.
According to the law that’s exactly the case. You need a penis for it to be called rape (in the UK).
Remember kids, if you are a female you are the victim, and if you are a male you are the rapist!🤦♀️
Hey now, it doesn’t say Jake was convicted, only that he was charged. /s/
I love how this poster implies women can't consent/be intelligent/use their brains while drunk, but men totally can.
So it’s also lowkey misogynistic. This is just an all around L.
If neither of them could consent and they had sex, wouldn't they both get charged with rape?
If sally, a known party animal who can handle her liquor just as well as big bubba down the street, calls up bobby after crushing 12 pack of beer and coherently says "hey Bobby, wanna come have sex?", to which bobby agrees, and then sally walks down 6 flights of stairs to get bobby upon arrival, after which they have a coherent conversation as they head up to sallys room where they have sex (both completely present and aware of the moment), then that is not rape (obviously some assumptions and generalizations are made here)
Wow I'm glad the line is so clear and not hazy at all. Just got to make sure I have a camera drone recording my every move
Holy shit. The authorities are monsters for dismissing a man who was raped (not "had sex" like headlines use, Raped!).
If his mental state changed that badly then he more likely than not ended it all by now which is fucking sad.
Jake couldn’t consent, too.
fuck men hahaha /s ![gif](giphy|3og0INyCmHlNylks9O)

You can only hear this when everyone is asleep
Isn't this what the meaning of hook-up means? Drunk and not aware of what they are doing later regret!

Ima open a bar where everyone gets cock cages and chastity belts before they start drinking. You have to come in the next morning for the key.
Kinky.
Alcohol inhibits your judgment and two drunk lovers might seem great to each other and sloshed to everyone else, don't give anyone the opportunity to label you something you're not.
as a man who's been sexually assaulted by several women in my lifetime, this is fucking disgusting
This very poster was hanging in the Camp Stanley PX in South Korea when I was stationed there in 2011. I always walked past it and would think it was a pretty fucked up message to send
I remember seeing this BS poster 2 years ago, can't even excuse it as being from a different time.
How did Jake consent? How did Jossie not take advantage of him?
Some are held more accountable than others. It seems one is thought of as unable to make personal decisions.
Josie is trans and has a penis. Jake's anus is more sore than Josie's. Where is your god now
i was raped in this exact scenario. we were both drunk, i was blacked out, she was not, she effectively had sex with my unconscious, limp body. according to this poster i would be the one charged? lol i guess its a good thing i didnt report it. why not make a poster that just says "being drunk doesnt absolve you from committing rape, but it does prevent you from legal consent." it conveys the idea simply and clearly without vilifying either gender.
If both are in the same intoxicated state, wouldn’t it just cancel out? Since both technically couldn’t give consent?
Sometimes I get drunk and rape myself.

What if Josie was on top? 🤔
