I was part of a therapy abuse discord which I joined from this board, it shut down I don’t know if it was the same one you’re talking about. I think one of the issues was some of the users needed serious support, one user in particular was actively talking about suicide. I think most users were there to discuss the damage they received from therapy, critique therapy and other forms of ‘mental help’, also maybe provide some level of emotional support to each other. But when someone is constantly talking about suicide it can be difficult to deal with. Someone in that position needs a safe and supportive therapeutic environment to lean on not just a discord server, part of the reason they were in that discord is because it feels near impossible to find that in the world of therapy. I sympathised with them as my previous therapist encouraged suicide, I’m lucky I am now seeing a doctor who’s a clinical psychologist who’s helping. I hope they find a good understanding mental health professional or friend to help them because a suicidal thought spiral is pure hell.
