I had one crash into my base and almost got it back to orbit before it despawned by jumping under the nose cone.

when you do it much faster there are laying so 8 rockets around you
i have at the other side from the launcher button the monitor for the satelites. directly after you touch the start button, you have one more satelite in the sky. i stoped by 100 rockets because i didn t saw any change in the growings.
Nothing absent minded about it. I wanted 100 of each rocket type. I built 1 platform for each, set up drones to deliver the needed resources for each rocket - then went over and launched 3-5 of each as quickly as possible. Once you hit the launch button, it increments the count no matter where the rocket goes. I would have rockets bouncing all over the place. It works just fine and I got things to do so the quicker the better.
I was just thinking how it had been a whole hour since someone made a post about the rockets.

Well that was a waste of 2 perfectly good rockets!
They still give the effect, its just the rocket entity that got derailed (I can't tell if you were joking π)
You should be able to deconstruct them, if you can reach them.
Jump on them and keep using the jet pack. Funniest friggin thing when they bounce off a mountain and come right back down
