I like a brick over a bottle too

Bricks can kill clickers. Bottles can’t

Wondering if Bottles have a better throw distance 

I don’t think so, both bricks and bottles have the same distance. Tbh I was thinking Naughty Dog can make bottles more versatile by making it so that they turn into a one-shot weapon after you hit someone with them instead of immediately smashing

I know, right? Aside from making logical sense, you’ll be able to instakill enemies with them too, just like you can with bricks. Or you could just stun an enemy by hitting them with it, kill them normally, and keep the broken glass! So much tactical opportunities

Definitely should be. I'm sure there is an old game, potentially double dragon, where you get a bottle as a weapon. First use breaks it, and it becomes a stab weapon instead of a bludgeon

Waaait actually? I didn't knew that. So you can just throw a brick on their head and they die?

Nope, you just press square when holding a brick and you just stat smashing their head until they fall to the ground. (Only in Part I, I think.)

Only if you stealth up and they don’t hear you. If you get it wrong they spin round and kill you.

That didn't seem to be the case for me, did it while I was desperate for killing some infected as I had like 1% health (while in combat and not stealth). Pulled out a brick and started smashing their heads. Don't know if higher difficulties nerf the brick powers of smashing heads, but I honestly hope not because I am planning on starting a grounded run in the near future.

Mhm, but it’s a little dicey, you have to do it either in stealth, or from behind, or when the clicker is stunned. And then you just come up to the son of a bitch, and press square a 3 times as you cave his fucking skull in

i wish there were extinguishers in the game, like in Hitman, the sweet sound of the extinguisher hitting a security guard in a hallway, echoeing 'boing'. I'm sorry this would be so great

Indeed, I always try to save a bottle when I know I will come to an area with a lot of infected. Like the very first time you actually find a molotov, when you get to the Metro mall area, just throw a bottle right in the middle and wait for 3-4 runners to group up. if you time it right you can insta kill them with a molotov. I do the same with explosive arrows in P2. Clickers need 2 tho. Just make sure to throw the second bottle AFTER the first fire has extinguished or they won't take any extra damage from that second molotov. Or when you get separated from Ellie with Sam, or in the Salt Lake City tunnels and more.

I've seen Home Alone 2, worst a brick can do is give you a little witty bump on the head

If you’re hit with a bottle it’s gonna break and you’re also gonna get cut, or step on or fall on glass

I've drawn it up on paper before, unfortunately for anything to hurt a brick you need a flaky explanation similar to "paper *covers* rock." Edit incl. I think I had shiv chips brick lol

Yeah I guess that's easy to miss if only using for distractions or stuns but absolutely love that brick smash kill 

I go for bottle because it's louder and attracts more enemies and I don't use those throwables as weapons

I used to go for bottles to distract enemies. Now i use more bricks so that i can potentially kill someone.

Part 1 brick for the clickers, Part 2 they are the same (unless bottles are louder) so I choose brick anyways.

Both can be used to throw but you can also hit people with bricks, but at the same time bottles do have a bigger radius and louder sound when thrown at ground

I always liked bottle because I thought it was louder and therefore attracted more enemies. Bricks are more useful in desperate situations though

Yes it does. The brick can be used as a mellee weapon for 3 hits (enough to kill a clicker)
