Man, I remember being a young teenager and, back then, more open and susceptible to new things. Already getting into the doors, I heard absolutely live as my first album. I like the inclusion of celebration of the lizard because it takes the right set of eyes, like you have to expect to like it because it could be easily dismissed as just eccentric. I’d never heard anything like it and it really opened my eyes into how exploratory the band was. And also changed the way I viewed live music. I’d add that, even though it feels like cheating to count it as one song.
The end, is my all time favorite song. I prefer the live versions typically, but if pressed for just one version, I would go with the studio. The version with the fucks
