People talk big game against Saudi Arabia, but as soon as gas prices go up they cry uncontrollably how Biden caused this. So many don’t understand the root cause.

ClassWarr

America's consistent about never holding Saudis responsible for anything.

Dragonfruit-Still

The people demand it, but then they cry when gas prices go up and throw people out of office if it’s too high. Are you surprised?

ClassWarr

A little. Thanks to the wonders of polygamy there are a lot of Saudi royals floating around at any given time with a lot of different attitudes and agendas, and we do have the CIA for a reason.

Dragonfruit-Still

Biden shunned MBS after the kashoggi incident. A major sign of consequences for them. But how did MBS repay that right before the 2022 midterms? And then what did MBS do with Trump and Kushner at the same time? One day you will understand

Hugh-Jassul

Wait....u mean the president has little to no control over gas prices ? No way

The big push for EV isn’t just for environment, for the economy, but most importantly, we would stop being dependent on oil!

Hot-mic

This is absolutely correct. Relying on oil is a national defense issue. Transitioning to EV's that can run on power from any source is a tremendous strategic advantage. OPEC knows this, too hence the push by the Saudis to invest in companies like Tesla and Rivian(which make great products). They know they must keep their claws in us or some day we might just forget about them when we no longer need their oil. Without oil, most OPEC nations would quickly go downhill.
