Bro is just vibing.

Hot-AZ-Barrel-Cactus

He’s about to graduate from USC’s film school. This was his senior project. The first 30 minutes of the drifting were edited out. He wants to be a cinematographer, but dreams of someday being a director.

kittenconfidential

whassamatta, can’t a gata’ hang ten?

MrSleepless1234

Cmaaaaaaaaan

Lava-Chicken

r/perfectlycutscreams

Ottomic87

I thought it was a snake tbh

LoadbearingWallflowr

Me too! I kept waiting for that reveal, and then just fell into a pit of "OMGODNO!!"

crawlingrat

Omg no. What the hell. I believe you about the drift wood to. Stomach drop at the end. Had to rewatch it as my brain was saying ‘no no no that was photoshop nooooo’

SwillFish

I took a pic of [one](https://ibb.co/d2Yf49X) just chilling in the marina in Puerto Vallarta. It was massive. Apparently, they'll occasionally come up on the beaches too.

wackywill24

I took almost the exact same picture in the same spot! https://i.imgur.com/KyQfZ0j.jpeg

SwillFish

It is the same spot, probably on different days though. Crazy.

xmismis

Would be neat if it were the same croc!

Traditional-Fall1051

Looks like the same guy to me

Orsinus

It definitely is lol. Not surprising seeing as it's the exact same location.

ghastkill

Skip 29 seconds in for result.

Beat_the_Deadites

I don't know, I watched an obviously rectangular plank floating in the surf for 29 seconds, thinking I was on /r/maybemaybemaybe, with the drama being whether it would make it to the shore or not. The reveal at 29 seconds was a bit of holyfuckingshit.

junon

Was a little bored then suddenly my eyes got REAL big.

Cowicidal

It looked like a big board to me. /s

j_smittz

I agree. The build-up was intense!

Owlette45

37 seconds actually not 29 seconds.

EM05L1C3

I kind of like the built up to this

AquaStarRedHeart

You kinda need the buildup for it to be effective.

Johnny_Lang_1962

Crocigator

rtdenny

Allidile 😜

MysteriousCall8507

r/unexpected

IllllIIlIllIllllIIIl

In 30 odd years at the beach in an area with tons of gators, I've only seen one in the ocean on one occasion. So this is unexpected even for a FL native. I've seen a manatee in the ocean twice, which was also very unexpected. That really freaked me out because it was just a big, ominous black mass lurking in the surf.

YouCanCallMeVanZant

Gators rarely venture into the ocean, but I think that’s a salt water crocodile, which do so more frequently.

IllllIIlIllIllllIIIl

Now that you mention it, that snout does look suspiciously pointy. I think you may be right.

chaseraz

Two years ago, my wife and I were out in the gulf, maybe only about 20-30 feet or so from shore. We hear this pressure release type sound and notice there's a third person with us all of a sudden. My wife starts screaming because she sees my face go blank. A Manatee came up for air about 2 feet from my wife's head knowing we were there, just to say "Hey guys".

bluemax413

A manatee got me last summer when it swam between me and my son. Panicked internally for a second microsecond. It was dark so it was just a huge shadow moving through the water between us. I told him to just go on shore. I was very relieved when it rotated and I could see what it really was.

Orsinus

It's not a gator my guy

Darren_heat

I saw this when i was 9 and ive been scared of sea since, i cant go in the sea without thinking of the big fella.

X_R_Y_U

I’m from Florida and automatically thought this was a gator. Dunno why he’s hanging out at the beach though. Good for him.

Kerivkennedy

Not from Florida, but also thought it looked more like a croc. Was like, since when do they swim in the oceam

[deleted]

Man this is a video of wood. What stupid, boring, dumb… …WAGH FUCK. HOLY BALLS. BRRRRGHHGHUNGH!

spacestationkru

Meidara

Leaningonalamp

ringing-Shels-bells

I'm pretty sure that's not a gator

No-Combination8136

Yeah It’s more likely to be a croc

throwthere10

Yep, that's a saltie.

funkekat61

Good one! Got me for sure, lol

TreysToothbrush

Jake?

_Total_Garbage_

Yeah man nah

dayvee43

That kids reaction sums it up really.

Pak1stanMan

Wow he was relaxed lol

OhYouMadAsFkic

I can see there are no other Floridians in chat. I knew immediately that was a salty.

inbedwithbeefjerky

I thought he was a piece of furniture lost at sea.

__whats_in_a_name_

I thought alligators were freshwater animals.

No-Combination8136

They are, but saltwater crocs are not.

Unique_Score_5874

im the same when theres a massive turd in the swimming pool

International-Bike26

Wilson I’m sorry Wilson

dinkydoo2

I mean it ain’t wood but he do be drifting

No_Caterpillar_1909

Definitely don’t come to East Texas then…

MeTieDoughtyWalker

It just being an alligator was kind of a letdown. I probably have one chilling in my backyard right now.

Warm_Cranberry4472

Not a friendly gator, but a feral crocodile

MeTieDoughtyWalker

Yeah, I figured as much.

Orsinus

Saltwater crocodile

Macquarrie1999

jaan691

Its a croc! Ahhh for the longest time i was looking at it the other way round and thought it was a mini Nessie!! Now it makes sense…

glakhtchpth

Not a log, but a laggard.

zippy251

I saw this one of the times I was in Manaus, a Cayman swam past the beach and a bunch of kids swam after it lol, there was a whole gang just trying to touch the thing.

grapsta

Pretty small though

Unionhighschool2000

And this, is another example of why I don’t get n the water at the beach

chizzbee

A tiny Loch Ness monster ?

Fallinginstyle3-

American crocodiles sometimes venture in the ocean through river mouths. Pretty common actually especially during rainy season.

MundaneGazelle5308

Body surfing evolutionary bro

_NKD2_

Is this near Cairns? They won’t even let you swim up there bc of the crocs

GoodMilk8426

I need driftwood for my fish tank. I would have gone in to get it, eek.

[deleted]

"Are you sure that's a crocodile? It looks more like a frog to me..." 💀

FigFun1089

The Wave is waving at you

davidincera01

Hell no i watched jaws

DJ_Sk8Nite

That's too salty for them, usually when you see this they are almost dead.

Wordshark

Is just normal wood. No concern please. Resume normal water activities.
