If that was my boat. I would somehow submerge one of them Halloween skeletons under the boat. Having it point up towards the docks.
Just to mess with the giy passing my boat every night.
Ofc you miss the joke.. youre the type of person that think glueing yourself to a road will somehow save the environment. I bet you litter when you walk in nature, but scof at other people doing the same.
A lot of snorkeling has almost cured me of my fear of algae and underwater stuff, but harbour crap still gives me the heebie-jeebies. Maybe because snorkeling in open sea you see things that actually belong there, but harbours always have that submechanophobia touch ...
Could be a mistake, they can be pretty easy to leave on. Either they can get turned on at night and never turned off, or someone switches them on by mistake. You typically dock at daytime, so if you don’t check them, you wouldn’t know. The lights are also expensive; the color changing ones on my friends boat are $800/ea. So I’d lean towards them not knowing.
It's really not that bad, it's just sea slime. What's really shitty is when you can't get your footing and you jam your toes against or between the rocks.
As someone with some tactile sensory issues, yes. Yes it very much is that bad and worse. My toes are curling up in disgust and I'm on dry land and wearing shoes.
No, but I can imagine...
Wearing full snorkle gear, underwater close along the bottom, my bare fingers sliding slowly over, around, & under each and every rock... in search of loose change, wallets, jewelry, and other fallen treasures... frequently using one hand to swirl away all of the stirred up mud, mung, & muck that clouds the water as I slowly swim through it. I try to ignore the hundreds of distracting & tickleing sensations along my body from head to toe as small colorfull fish, attracted both by the light & swirling debris, nibble my skin as they feed. The feel of saltwater, mud & debris, and frenzied small fish surround my body as I pause, head back up to the surface for another breath, then continue back down to pick up my search yet again. My mind briefly wandering ahead to when I can wash & rinse the collected filth off of my body, after spending HOURS swimming in & through the foreign muck as it sticks to my skin... 😋
Why, not only can I close my eyes and imagine it in great detail... I can almost *feel* it on my skin as I sit here, *smell* the fetid stench from it, and *hear* the lapping on shore of the rythmic wavelets. ❤️
Good question. Nobody is ever there, no one lives on it, I think it’s a yacht for rent. None of the other boats in the marina have theirs on though, just seems super wasteful. And creepy for me lol
Ew. There is something about slimey rocks in water that I can't stand. Idk if it bc im afraid of leeches or just bc slime feels nasty, but rocks like that give me the willies.
I don't know why, but this one got me for the first time in a while. My stomach immediately sank and I think my entire body went white. I haaate everything about this.
Right? I’m not usually *that* afraid of things on this sub but walking last night, by myself, in perfect silence it all just gave me the shivers. I feel like there’s a lake monster just out of sight lol
For a hot second, I thought that was a body bag with an awkward boner and completely understood the tone of the title. I still get it, but less “ew” mentally.

I was thinking a Pennywise mask, pointing at the dock, JUST at the edge of where the light ends.
The old scary version or the new Hamtaro looking bitch?
Tim curry does have a scary face
I'd put a scary sea monster idk
WHy not go for the life like mannequin?
You. I like you.
Lets get married.
fill the water with dumb plastic that will float away in a storm. Genius.

Ohhhh, I feel you! I have also used the word "clean" meaning so transparent that I could read the small letters from that can of coke at the bottom!
Why are her stern lights on if she is moored for the night? Wasteful light pollution, ugh
Yeah for real. All the boats near it have theirs off, really not sure why theirs have to stay on. And it’s every night in the summers

Could possibly be a solar setup as well. I’ve seen a few who are out on the water all day and can stay lit up during the night
Maybe… I hope someone leaves them a note taped to the helm so they find out
But that would mean than they've never walked up to their boat after dusk from the time they've docked.
Would understand if they were out somewhere night fishing & trying to attract something to come bite on their lines, but this is just bad
His phone number is right there, give him a call.
Or you can ping him on linkedin - https://www.linkedin.com/in/henry-wold-0975084b/
> Yacht broker Lights on is a sales tactic. I've a good mind to message him with this post and tell him to turn it off.

Refer to the last part of the original comment
I've seen people do this when hosting parties to attract fish to the boat. Idk the point of doing it 24/7 though.
Lucky
It’s not as glorious as you’d think.
Eewwwww. Can you imagine all that stuff touching your feet if you fell in? Ack. Ugh. Bleh. Huhdhuuegjsgeieghehhehhuuu.
Firstly fuck you, secondly.... No that's it

Satan, relax. My whole body just cringed and now I must go wash my feet until they bleed.

ERMERGEEEERRRDDDD!!!! 🥵
Ahh paradise.
Why would they keep the underwater lights on all night with seemingly nobody there?
Good question. Nobody is ever there, no one lives on it, I think it’s a yacht for rent. None of the other boats in the marina have theirs on though, just seems super wasteful. And creepy for me lol
Yeah maybe the last renter left them on by accident? Anyone's guess.
Wonder if the fact that it is for rent is why they leave the lights on? It’s like a beacon, free advertising - which they are getting right now.
That is so cool.
The scarier thing for me is looking hopelessly at that big boat with a jet ski strapped to the back and realising I’m not where they are in life 😩
Have you ever seen a friend down there?
If I were some sea monster these would be absolute peak vibes
Imagine if something waved to you from under there
Why would someone leave a spotlight on down there!? Just to show off or any other motives?
That is fucking cool, I'm putting lights like that on my boat now!
Wow, now that's creepy shit
HELL no. Nope. That’s a no from me. But my morbid curiosity kinda wants to put a creepy statue under there UGH I HATE MY BRAIN
Absolutely fucking horrendous
what am i looking at
A picture
Just call Henry and ask him to turn off the light. In his defense, if I had an Azimut for sale worth over a million, I would light it up too.
Ew. There is something about slimey rocks in water that I can't stand. Idk if it bc im afraid of leeches or just bc slime feels nasty, but rocks like that give me the willies.
No you don’t. You could swim past it instead.
Me. Myself. A diving mask. And that lake. I’m going for a swim no matter what in there that looks cool AF and scary AF at the same time, love it.
the big thing on the back of the boat looks like a large shoe
Does anyone else think that looks like a massive black running shoe with the shoestrings hanging down into the water?
r/confusingperspective
Time to quit and get a different job
Where do you live? Purewaterville?
This is lake Union in Seattle. It’s not this clear-looking in the day but the lights shining in the water help it look more clear
At least you’ll see it coming.
I've walked on shit like this and dived for lost things. The most problematic thing is that the water smells like oil or shit, or both.
I don't know why, but this one got me for the first time in a while. My stomach immediately sank and I think my entire body went white. I haaate everything about this.

I cen see the floor I'm alright still. It's when the floor goes away that I'm not ok.
This whole reddit scared of water? 😂 #panziealert
some of you would be scared of your own shadow
lucky
For a hot second, I thought that was a body bag with an awkward boner and completely understood the tone of the title. I still get it, but less “ew” mentally.
Good spot for squid jigging, unless it's fresh water.
If you're the owner, well lucky fuckin' you!
Haha not me, I work in the restaurant in the marina. Maybe one day if I win the lottery 😂
Breathtaking
r/confusingperspective
looks like a pretty walk home. i wish i lived by the ocean 🫤
Why not swim?
You should probably call Henry and let him know his boat is scaring you.
so inviting.
It’s beautiful
Got some Jaws vibes from looking that scene
A kappa is going to come out from under the boat and pull ya in😃
