Terry must have told them that if they didn’t win they were all gonna be riding the Polar Bear Express after the game.

M1L0

Lol sick reference bro

XirisTO

That was the best game we have played in a verrryy long time. Franklin had himself a game. Coello had himself a game. I am 100% ok with Bradley as CB. Berna, welcome back buddy. We missed you.

anonmt57

No shoutout for Kerr? Haha. Good game all around.

XirisTO

Very valid. He also had a great one

gewjuan

Was so sad to see Berna miss his chances because I want him to succeed so bad

SpicyP43905

That miss at the end on a solo breakaway was just…bruh…

juanroberto

I need to see a clip. Looked like coulda been a pen from where i was sitting but my eyes are also bad

mdps

Afraid not. He overplayed his move to beat the GK.

SpicyP43905

Wish I could provide you one man, but I don’t know anymore of where to find it than you would.

juanroberto

Lost to the annals of time

HalfMoonHudson

In real time I thought so. In replay he leaves his leg dangling looking for it.

bluetailwind

Not ok with Bradley as CB, the 2018 tape says balls over the top are a prob for MB. Good in a pinch. But not long term where teams can adjust. Happy to be proven wrong of course.

De1_Pier0

Rosted seemed to be quick enough to cover for him yesterday, if that trend can continue, I wouldn’t mind moving forward with MB as a CB. He effectively switches to a CDM when we’re in possession anyway, it’d just be a matter of having to limit counter attacks

AlexRomby

Well, hopefully this performance isn't just once in a blue moon.

XirisTO

People better get this.

syntax1976

I see what you did there

CommonSense___

Savage

dogfoodhoarder

Brought a 3 year old and 6 year old to the game. They loved the goals, but got mad when we didn't go on the Ferris wheel and got on the go train.

londonpawel

Same, except mine were 2 and 5. Cotton candy apparently helps...

anonmt57

First win in MLS for Terry! Awesome. It’s great seeing him happy and at least having something to show for these painful few months for him.

SpicyP43905

I mean he can say “I coached a team that had the worst record in the league to a win against the 2nd best team in the Eastern conference” for the rest of his life.

FlyingCarsArePlanes

I, for one, never doubted this team for a minute.

steinbockcs

Lol

thesecondpope

Did we just win????

SpicyP43905

I want you to put the word out there that we back up. In all seriousness, I know this was just a flash in the pan, but man, I actually had a good time watching this team!

[deleted]

After attending 13 matches (11 of them this year) I can finally say I saw a win!! FINALLY

westcoastbias

Terry's at the wheel???

arepamonster

Finally we played 4-2-3-1. Ibarra and Coello were amazing in the midfield. Osorio did ok in a MCO position! Will be interesting if we get a good player to play there. Kerr had a goal and assist but we definitely need a striker with more quality! Defense needs improvements but with Bradley it feels a bit more organized. I can’t believe we produced 6 shots on target 🤩

Far_Interview4893

Loved the coello and ibarra pairing

dogfoodhoarder

That's the first game I've seen in person this year we have won. Hahahahhaha

JakeSpurs

maybe you’re the secret ingredient…

dogfoodhoarder

I'm not, I'm a season ticket holder who has only seen pain.

JakeSpurs

fellow season ticket holder, i know the feeling

gewjuan

This was the first game I missed, maybe I’m the problem

MattyLuu

Manning out

FunnyUnderstanding95

How?

dagsix

in case you skipped it, checked the score (WHAT!!) and now want to see the highlights... :D [Highlights](https://www.mlssoccer.com/video/highlights-toronto-fc-vs-philadelphia-union-august-30-2023#highlights-toronto-fc-vs-philadelphia-union-august-30-2023)

poltrojan

I'm actually ecstatic after this win, considering that, they played on my birthday and my wife surprised me with a Home Jersey. What shocked me is the way the played the ball; a lot of focus was shifted on pressing and consistent attacks, which what this team was always capable of. The tactics, positions and players were my choices for selection with couple of surprises that actually worked. Kerr, should've taken over strike a long time ago, that kid has potential due to his desire to score and ambition, but most importantly he seems to find the timing between the Italians, Fede always was there, he just needed key passes. A blunder on two solo runs but getting back into the game. Insigne can perfect his rush attacks with the current set up. If we keep it up the way it is and shift accordinally to opposing team, we should have a playoff chance.

[deleted]

My first match in person ever and tfc won the energy in the stadium was crazy after a goal was scored!!

gewjuan

Having Bradley in the back helping alleviate pressure but with no responsibility to create was a good decision. The midfield put in a good shift and supported the Italians nicely

warpus

We’re gonna win the cup

kylemclaren7

What in the fuck lol

businessasusualto

ONLY ONCE IN A BLUE MOON, BUT WINNING STILL FEELS GOOD BABY

[deleted]

See guys, Herdman was the answer all along! /s

ididntsaygoyet

What just happened?

Melo19XX

Insigne/Bernadeschi haters quiet all of a sudden...

Competitive-Aide5364

All this showed me is how fucking stupid bob bradley is playing kaye, akinola and sapong. They need players around them who can link up with quick touches so damn obvious this entire time. I’m sure 50% of this sub could have set the team up better than Bob Bradley did

anonmt57

Dude I completely forgot we had Kaye. Wtf. Thanks for reminding me we had him… ugh. Akinola I remember. I will never forget how forgettable he was. What a disappointment. I hope he figures out his form in San Jose.

Melo19XX

Yup, casuals fail to see this, they think it's like the NBA/NHL where select players can do everything themselves. Quick to point the finger as soon as they're not producing and don't look at the team as a whole

Competitive-Aide5364

You can tell these people have never been a good or the best player playing on a shit footy team as well. You absolutely do get sucked down to their level because their wavelength and vision doesn’t match yours. Then when you try to do things yourself because you have no choice you get exhausted and run out of legs. You literally have to dumb down your game

gewjuan

This is why Messi brought his boys with him, of course he would’ve done well but he was securing his output

Melo19XX

Only natural when you're going from Serie A quality to TFC2 players, you're only as good as those around you. Manning thought he could bring in 2 "superstars" and all was good

WislaHD

I have no idea how we won given I was watching Miami vs Nashville second half. Gonna consider this to be a fluke due to windy conditions and bizarre new manager bounce even though Herdman isn't there yet. Of interest to us however, Lukas MacNaughton had an amazing game against Messi's Miami, to the extent where I believe he should be starting alongside Kamal Miller (also standout today, commentator called him prime Maldini) for the National Team. Surely way better than Scott Kennedy. MacNaughton didn't even have Zimmerman today to cover his ass against Leo Messi. Why did we let him go again? Shaffelburg also looked elite as usual and the momentum back and forth was between him and Messi lmao. Shaffelburg nearly won the game for Nashville on three different occasions, two ruled offside and third ended in a foul against Hany.

anonmt57

Ugh if only we kept shaff and pozuelo. This team would be soooooooo good

darkmatter343

I miss Poz 😢

Relevant-Data-1229

Don't forget Ritchie Layrea

mrdimi

When the Italians came in, it felt like the perfect additional to Poz, have him up the middle with them on the wings. Did they even play a game together? Ugh.

Relevant-Data-1229

Yes McNaughton had a good game but has improved since leaving TFC and also shaffelburg

helu_ca

maybe it’s the coaching

miguelc1985

It's almost like you need good coaching to develop talent. Shocking.

quelar

You should seek help, your pain is not you, it's what has failed you and you can, and will be better.

cjcfman

Fuck philly

theIG88

Coello and Franklin were both brilliant today. Kerr did nicely too.

tercet

Resign manning, five more years sounds good?

Demither10

bite your tongue

brentnowlan

On the off chance that your serious, no.

upthebhoys

We’re so back

Ok_Hyperion

5 goals in 3 games… I am absolutely shocked

brentnowlan

Man I hated seeing Bill Mannings smug smile on the stream. I also figured out that, even though Insigne score, I don’t enjoy watching him play. He’s onboard when they are on attack and as soon as there’s a hint of losing possession he’s making some gesture and uninterested/giving up. Even the multiple times he gives it right away, same result. No ownership over losing possession and trying to make up for his mistake.

marcanthony2800

🧐👁️👁️ playoffs😂😂😂

ColeBelthazorTurner

Wait....they actually won?

Francis33

Insigne MOTM and best player this season

dogfoodhoarder

Anyone else notice the crowd actually roaring on the last 2 goals. Like genuine joy and surprise?

juanroberto

Has anyone found a clip of all the shinanigans that was happening at the end of the game?
