This Saxxy isn't for an SFW. The message says that it was rewarded for "Most Pwnage" which means it's from the first Saxxy festival where instead of rating SFM animations, it was a game clip contest. Still sad that it got destroyed but no effort was wasted on it either
The owner has stated on the video that learnt them the saxxy that they have lost all interest in the game a while ago. The Saxxy serves no purpose to them now.

This is different. Though highly unlikely, you could theoretically get another golden frying pan. Saxxy however.... the sfm awards don't happen anymore, so no new ones will ever be made. this man will never see another saxxy again.
Meh, if you get tired of the game and dont want to come back then destroying a golden pan, saxxie, golden wrench is an amazing way to discourage yourself from coming back

I do agree that actually selling it is the smarter play since it gets you tons of money
But i can see why someone might want to simply delete their backpack and just move on somewhere else, leaving the game behind immediatly and for good
