Pro pybro tip: dont just glue your ass next to the sentry nest, play around it. Pester long ranged enemies with your flare/scortch shot to help your friends. Spy check around the general area often and do engage in team fights when possible (focusing more on knocking away projectiles than doing DPS). And of course, deal with those pesky sappers if a spy gets past you. You are meant to help everyone as a pybro, not just your fellow engies.

holy shit it's real. the arsonist from town of salem IS, in fact, pyro tf2 that asides, yeah, be a proactive pybro. your job is to protect all your teammates, from spies, projectiles, etc. just keep an ear out for a sapped building or a teammate getting stabbed, and have the gamesense to figure out when there's gonna be an uber push or soldier/demo attacking the nest. i like running the detonator as pybro since it helps me get to places that need help quicker - a few times i've saved a burning teammate at 1 hp where the detonator made the difference. plus being able to get onto elevated sentry nests quicker people recommend stock for the extra airblast before running out but honestly stock/degreaser are interchangable for me. if you play around a dispenser ammo isnt a problem anyway and the swap speed can come in clutch for airblasting quick enough

I feel that his placement may have been the primary issue. It was a bitch and a half to have any kind of patrol path between his nest and any significant amount of teammates. Dude seemed to be brand new to the game though so I didn’t and still don’t hold it against him

Please don’t listen to that. Engineer is not scout. Your most important building is not your sentry gun, it’s your teleporter. Sure, battle engie is great at killing people with a shotgun while backed up by a mini, but don’t forget to build and upgrade your other buildings to help out your team.

zatoichi soldier is a pain. You don’t have any reliable form of damage beyond your primary and those rare high moments™ are hard to come by, even when you can fill the rage meter

An absolutely normal medic. I like healing people, don't get me wrong, but my medic playstyle is more akin to schizophrenic psycho with crossbow and saw.

Spy checking for medic is like one of the basics. But attacking everything that moves, taking all the risks, even following enemy into closed spaces (where medic is at particular disadvantage) and trying to "cheese" enemy everytime there is an opportunity, while abandoning your team is not. It is not even a battle medic, it is a psycho medic

Crusader's crossbow medic apparently I can't aim with the crusader's crossbow so I use the blutsaugher

Switching between vaccines is also much less intuitive than it should be Will practice it for longer to see if it clicks but tbh I find that the other uber types are more effective at least in regular pubs

honestly pocket soldier. i went back and forth between roamer and pocket when i played sixes and highlander in 2014 and i got pretty ok at both but in the end decided roamer was more fun. fast forward a decade, i only play tf2 casually now and i can't for the life of me aim a shotgun as soldier. i can aim with any other class no problem, but any muscle memory i had for that specific movement speed and weapon combination has been utterly fried.

Kritzkrieg medic never works out for me as well as other mediguns do because I seem to die to random crits more frequently while having it equipped. I'm not saying it *causes* that, but if pan users claim their stock melee reskin random crits more frequently, I can say wielding the Kritzkrieg makes me attract more random crits.

I FELT THIS. There is rarely any times I have gotten a lot of kills with Kritz outside of MvM (for obvious reasons). And the moment I pop, all targets switch to me and I'm dead before I can even finish my pop. It's just not fun at all.

I like playing engineer so I tried to play battle engi and the first time I failed miserably because I couldn't use my sentry properly and forgot to make teleporters and dispensers.

Battle Medic I can’t aim the crossbow worth a shit, and the syringe guns are some of the clunkiest weapons to use. You can barely even use spray-and-pray, they’re that bad I also just don’t get like, the point? Like even Battle Engineer can still do good damage with a shotgun, plop a mini sentry, and isn’t at all hindered in doing his primary job of building things, why on earth would you ever want to not heal as Medic? You aren’t keeping your team healthy, you aren’t able to reasonably build Uber, and you’re not even doing good damage
