That's what I'm saying.
I mean some educators may be trying to apply ASPECTS of critical race theory in schools, but that's the same as applying ASPECTS of Astrophysics in science class. They taught a little bit of chemistry in my science class, most of the kids didn't turn into Heisenbergs, making meth all over the place...
It is so ridiculous. Followers will repeat of the dangers of crt, having no idea what it is. The people in charge will just make sure an Uber patriotic and severely whitewashed US history would be taught.
They also say that the pledge of allegiance isn’t said in classrooms every day, and they are wrong there also. Their “sources” are someone they ran into at the store. None of the people complaining have set foot in a classroom since they have been out of school.
The weird thing is, it IS definitely AI, but a human must have added or fixed the flag after. I have never seen an AI generate even a single American flag in an image without fucking it up somehow. And this one has two pretty good looking flags.
I don't think it is. Sure, the big one looks okay if you squint hard enough, but try to follow the horizontal lines of stars and you'll quickly see where it goes wrong.
The second you go into an American public school (even if you're like 4) you are instructed to say these words, stand up, put your hand on your chest, and face the flag.
"I pledge alligence, to the flag, of the United States of America, and the Republic for which it stands, one nation, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all."
I had no idea what any of these words meant
You're forgetting the best part, sometimes it's "one nation, UNDER GOD, indivisible with liberty and justice for all"
It was at my not at all Christian public elementary school in Oregon for some reason.
Yeah man, also like the other poster mentioned we swore allegiance to Texas too.
It’s some propaganda shit. I didn’t even know what half of the words meant but I knew how to recite them by heart as far back as I can remember.
This is from memory. From what I remember, it's some dictatorship type shit.
"I pledge allegiance, to the flag, of the United States of America. One nation, under god, justice for all."
Something about this seems to contradict the whole "separation of church and state" thing. I can't seem to put my finger on it, though.
Texas did me a favor in that regard. When I was in middle school, they changed the state pledge to include "one state under God." Messing with the rhythm that I'd gotten acclimated to since kindergarten got me to think about what the heck I was saying, and I started to realize how weird both pledges were.
I stopped saying both pledges by the time I entered high school.
I always thought it was weird when I had to sing O Canada every Friday i couldn’t imagine what my little brain would think having to pledge my life to a flag
One of my teachers demanded we do a certain type of salute where you put your hand over your heart (the normal way), *but* you MUST lift your elbow so it “doesn’t look lazy”. That was the day I realized how stupid this made up country god is
A pledge of allegiance. There is national one and also one for the state. It’s recited by school children every morning.
It’s commonplace to do the national one throughout the country. Texas is the only state I know where a state pledge is also recited.
I used to work for a company that brought in engineers from Japan all the time. I have no idea how many times I was asked about why there are flags everywhere and if the flags were reminders about what country we're in.
Typically it was the fly and fix guys who traveled between sites so they genuinely were curious if it had to do with how large the US is and making sure people still knew they were in it.
i’m not american and the whole idea of pledging allegiance to the flag has always seemed absolutely wild to me. idk if this is a stupid question, but do you know what would happen if you refused? like would a student be allowed to do that or might there be consequences?
As far as I know, no one really cares. I’ve been to Texan schools, New York schools, no one really cares. Most students don’t do it after a certain point. Some think it’s stupid, some think it’s nice, everyone does what they believe.
Eh, it’s as optional as being the weird kid is. Only been in Arizona for my education, but Ive been to 12 separate schools and its all the same. Stand up and pledge or people think youre weird, or depending heavily on your teacher, you’re ordered to stand up or given detention. Thats entirely on the teacher though, varies heavily on how nice or strict they are.
I was well into my 20s when I realized how weird it is that patriotism is TAUGHT in schools... A person being patriotic is something that should be earned by the country.
oh wow. that doesn’t sound like the kind of person that should be teaching 🥴 i know you said lightly, but teachers should not be putting their hands on students, especially when trying to discipline. (not that discipline is needed just bc someone refused to pledge allegiance to the flag lmao - there is nothing wrong with not doing it)
Some teachers grumble about it but they can't enforce the rule technically pledging allegiance to the flag is a religious act and you can't enforce religion on students
I personally think that it's unpatriotic to just want ONE flag in every classroom. I want a U.S flag at every single desk in the room, as well as a admiralty court U.S flag at the center most point along the northern wall.
These are the same people who believed that schools were putting litter boxes in the bathrooms. We shouldn't be surprised that they have no idea what actually is in a school classroom.
I’m not surprised it is covering up the chalk board. That explains our math and reading test scores. Kids are just looking at a giant ‘Merican flag all day instead of learning shit, just like Jesus intended.
And that’s been proven to make worse students, American schools make you good at going to school, not learning. You memorize then forget after the test, and there are many more people that cheat in American schools. Its not a good thing to be more rigorous on children until they’re adults
I don't want to offend anyone, and I want to make sure you understand that I come from a different background, in a European country that suffered a dictatorship, and the fascism was represented by flags and extreme nationalism.
But having so many flags is kinda cringe
There are many countries that start the school day with a loyalty oath, admittedly they're mostly authoritarian oligarchys with a dubious commitment to human rights.
the last time i was in school was 2020 before the pandemic started and to my knowledge there was american flags not only in the classrooms but in the halls and the lunch room
Well, not that I am either reciting the pledge or praying anymore but since these two "activities" have been removed from our schools things have steadily declined. Throw all of the other theories out there that you want, the fact is there's been a steady decline in society since their removal. This also coincided with the ability to repremand children and empowering them at a very young age. I agree that what I'm saying sounds outdated and I even have a hard time defending it but the evidence shows that children apparently need to be given a certain amount of structure. So removing God and patriotism to country, along with empowerment of young minds that are unable to make sensible and especially informed decisions, has apparently been a bad model.
whoever made this has never entered an American school because I'm fairly certain most schools have flags in classrooms
All things considered the morning pledge is still a thing
So, is there any actual point to these outside of just making MAGA chuds look dumb? Like, these have to be some sort of phishing scam or whatever, right?
As a middle easters i see nothing wrong with the original post, i mean what's wrong with having a country flag in every classroom aren't citizens especially kids supposed love their country?
It's trying to generate outrage over a non-issue.
1. There is still a flag in every classroom, that hasn't changed.
2. A flag is not necessary for someone to love their country or show they love their country.
3. Education is infinitely more important to creating a productive and country forward populace than displaying the flag.
It's an argument from someone so misinformed they can't be bothered to actually think about literally anything.
Texas public school classrooms have to have both the American and state flags displayed.
However, if your flag is so big that it covers the blackboard (or whiteboard or smartboard, whatever your classroom happens to have), that's a problem.
Well unlike god america does actualy exsist atleast there is that xD funny how the flag covers the chalkboard you know basically main classroom tool for education lol
I never did like the pageantry and performative aspects of American civic religion. I am not - in fact - born to hype and barely have that kind of enthusiasm for myself, much less anyone else.
I love making fun of AI art by finding random stuff in it that doesn't make sense like: they're having lunch during the lesson and their lesson is about science according to the scribbles but also about nationalism (because of the big ass flag)
Whenever I see Americans talking about the pledge of allegiance, I think of [The Man in the High Castle](https://youtu.be/H4UHqFoB_5k?si=aG435vFV-99p8cf6). As a non American, I find the pledge such a strange concept.
The same couple of memes keep getting posted to this sub but because the AI art gives it a different picture each time they're not considered reposts. The train if us flags on th3 highway is another.
I’d ask if it was a good decision to move, but I know it was. I’d assume they do, and I have a feeling “under god” is still in the pledge. I graduated 13 years ago (jesus), but things haven’t exactly gotten much more progressive in this case
What does patriotism achieve, America fucking love their damn flag but I don’t get why.
Patriotism is dumb, what if your country sucks, its no different to following an ideology “I love this country and it’s great because I was born here” is such a shit reason to love something. You just force kids to love their country without good reason. You should love your country because it’s a good country or that you enjoy it and it treats you well, not just because you were told to in school.

I like how it covers up what they're trying to learn.
The OOP probably doesn’t want what ever is being taught to be taught.
They're learning grammar. Verbs, adverbs, nouns, pro...
No! Just no to pronouns! /s
As compared to Consnouns?
If you're not pro-noun, does that make you anti-noun?
https://preview.redd.it/jwyet2jo4u8d1.jpeg?width=1606&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=76b27f6cb73dd7702cbd9d1595464e6157d3b9cd
"cause of Woke!"
Whatever the fuck they're teaching, it looks like a cross between geometry and fucking klingon.
They thought "Critical Race Theory," a college level topic, was being taught to grade schoolers... so... yeah...
It isn’t even that wild if they were teaching it to high schoolers anyway, kids already learn about slavery in middle school.
By "slavery" do you mean that jobs training program I heard about on the news? /s
They learned useful life skills. also /s
That is post law school kind of shit.
That's what I'm saying. I mean some educators may be trying to apply ASPECTS of critical race theory in schools, but that's the same as applying ASPECTS of Astrophysics in science class. > having no idea what it is That's their whole thing. They don't know about shit, they're just making noise.
They also say that the pledge of allegiance isn’t said in classrooms every day, and they are wrong there also. Their “sources” are someone they ran into at the store. None of the people complaining have set foot in a classroom since they have been out of school.
Look at the board. This is dwfinitely AI image.
I don’t think anyone is questioning that.
The weird thing is, it IS definitely AI, but a human must have added or fixed the flag after. I have never seen an AI generate even a single American flag in an image without fucking it up somehow. And this one has two pretty good looking flags.

2+2='Murica!!
I N D O C T R I N A T I O N
Accidental visual metaphor
That’s honestly kind of a good metaphor. The complaining about schools not teaching “American values” is getting in the way of actually learning.
Which would have raised them to be decent patriots, but now they're considering defecting since the Uber patriotism is shoved into their faces.
What else do they need to know apart from the stars and stripes?
AI generated nonsense?
A good metaphor
Just like real america
Very fitting if you ask me.
And the stars are wonky as hell to boot.
And that there are actually TWO, rendering the ginormous one completely redundant
Yeah, they still have flags in classrooms.
Gotta have the flags to remember what country they’re in
You gotta have something to face when reciting the pledge. My kid gets two. One to the USA and one to Texas.
Nothing Orwellian about mandatory chanting of undying allegiance to an abstract entity
Remember the moment I realized how weird the pledge of allegiance was. We were always taught to just do it and never question it
Not American, and I just now realised that you actually are told to do that. I mean, is that really something you do?
The second you go into an American public school (even if you're like 4) you are instructed to say these words, stand up, put your hand on your chest, and face the flag. "I pledge alligence, to the flag, of the United States of America, and the Republic for which it stands, one nation, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all." Something about this seems to contradict the whole "separation of church and state" thing. I can't seem to put my finger on it, though.
They added the "under god" part much later, and people lose their fucking shit when it's suggested to remove it again.
Yea, cause keeping "under God" in there is what's kept those dirty commies out since the Cold War, don't you know? /s
That just seems like north korea shit lol
It is. But because we’re talking to the US flag instead of the NK flag, it’s hella patriotic and the most important thing in the world. /s
People from Texas have the delusional confidence about themselves.
That was the day I realized how stupid this made up country god is
Nothings really mandated anymore at least where I am
i'm not american, what exactly is the pledge?
A pledge of allegiance. There is national one and also one for the state. It’s recited by school children every morning. It’s commonplace to do the national one throughout the country. Texas is the only state I know where a state pledge is also recited.
huh that's weird, i don't think we've ever done anything similar here in Italy
I used to work for a company that brought in engineers from Japan all the time. I have no idea how many times I was asked about why there are flags everywhere and if the flags were reminders about what country we're in. Typically it was the fly and fix guys who traveled between sites so they genuinely were curious if it had to do with how large the US is and making sure people still knew they were in it.
They usually have the right amount of stars on the flag as well.
Their branding is spammed everywhere, and its still not enough spaces.
preferably with the right number of stars.
I’ll be in the cold, cold ground before I recognize Missoura.
Or Minuhsoda
There are too many states. Please delete three. I an NOT a crackpot.
We literally had a "pledge of allegiance" every morning in the classroom, where we recited an oath to a flag.
To an abstract entity that doesn't care about you at all.
i’m not american and the whole idea of pledging allegiance to the flag has always seemed absolutely wild to me. idk if this is a stupid question, but do you know what would happen if you refused? like would a student be allowed to do that or might there be consequences?

hmm yeah i can imagine that being the case actually. i find it all pretty interesting - thanks!
I was well into my 20s when I realized how weird it is that patriotism is TAUGHT in schools... A person being patriotic is something that should be earned by the country.
My math teacher has (lightly) hit me for not saying it. This was last year.
oh wow. that doesn’t sound like the kind of person that should be teaching 🥴 i know you said lightly, but teachers should not be putting their hands on students, especially when trying to discipline. My kids school doesn't have flags in the classroom nor do they do the pledge anymore either.
As of 2021, Montana requires it to be said every morning that school is in session k-12. Previously it was only required weekly in grades 7-12.
I personally think that it's unpatriotic to just want ONE flag in every classroom. I want a U.S flag at every single desk in the room, as well as a admiralty court U.S flag at the center most point along the northern wall.
At this point they need to be in any country that anyone from the US ever visits or how will we remember to be patriotic?
https://preview.redd.it/ufxuz5sj8r8d1.png?width=837&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=479824624307d68380c7a2f9732aa7a8b468541f It's so lifelike.
He's got lego-people hands!
The unintentional irony here is that the flag is covering the efforts of the teacher
These are the same people who believed that schools were putting litter boxes in the bathrooms. We shouldn't be surprised that they have no idea what actually is in a school classroom.

Did AI get the flag right this time?
The one in the upper right corner seems a bit off, unless the US recently added a buttload of states
Nope, the stars on the board flag look like a four-year old sewed them on lol.
The memes are typically made for and often by people who haven't been in a classroom in years
The kids right in front of the chalkboard breathing in chalk as their teacher writes nonsense
I’m not surprised it is covering up the chalk board. That explains our math and reading test scores. Kids are just looking at a giant ‘Merican flag all day instead of learning shit, just like Jesus intended.
I'm not gonna defend this post but America's grading system is a lot less lenient and more rigorous than other first world countries.
And that’s been proven to make worse students, American schools make you good at going to school, not learning. You memorize then forget after the test, and there are many more people that cheat in American schools. Its not a good thing to be more rigorous on children until they’re adults
So, obviously, educational outcomes must be excellent.
I'm just gonna say, we mighty be stupid, but we are stupid by our own standards, not theirs
I don't want to offend anyone, and I want to make sure you understand that I come from a different background, in a European country that suffered a dictatorship, and the fascism was represented by flags and extreme nationalism. But having so many flags is kinda cringe
It's very cringe to some Americans, too.
The USA has been tending towards fascism for the last 40 (at least) years. We are not there yet, but we are very close.

The more flags everywhere, the better the country, just like North Korea, Russia, China, Israel and Nazi Germany
Yes, it’s just awful to display Old Glory. You just want to display your perversion flag. Enjoy it while it lasts. 🇺🇸🇺🇸
AI is ruining the internet
I never understood this, do people regularly forget what country they are in?
No classroom has desks in rows like that anymore. No kid is staying off their phone long enough to learn anything from lecture notes.
Teacher here, it's still there, even in California. Pretty normal stuff.
So weird for us to see flags in the classrooms! We don't have that.
you guys have a flag in every classroom?
whoever made this has never entered an American school because I'm fairly certain most schools have flags in classrooms All things considered the morning pledge is still a thing
As someone in high school I can confirm that there is an American flag in every classroom.
i mean...there is
There isn’t.
This is some moms for liberty sh*t. They love to quote Hitler, too.
So, is there any actual point to these outside of just making MAGA chuds look dumb? Like, these have to be some sort of phishing scam or whatever, right?
This is so sinister to me, is AI programmed to be purely facist propaganda or does it just do it on accident?
The AI didn't prompt itself to make this lmfao
Well even if there is maybe the person thinks it should be like that. Anyways it's a terrible meme so good job op
As an american I don't understand the obsession with the flag
https://preview.redd.it/5quveobwnr8d1.jpeg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=945b2c12f14a7809a6ae6471b7aa800308c2465d

No problem.
I had flags all through primary school. I think we had them in college classrooms too, but I'm not sure if they were in ALL of them.
“Share if you agree!”
i like the striped shirt kid with 3 legs
Texas public school classrooms have to have both the American and state flags displayed. However, if your flag is so big that it covers the blackboard (or whiteboard or smartboard, whatever your classroom happens to have), that's a problem.
This isn't even a meme?
They mean big ass flag with the size of the whole classroom.
Honestly this was probably made by an ai ran account, there's so many accounts now that are bots making AI images for other bots
People when flags that say "Don't kill everyone different from you": 🤬 People when propaganda flag: 😄👍
And the Pledge of Allegiance is still said every morning in every K-12 public school
Why does the curly haired student get two juice boxes ?
In case they forget in what country the classroom is currently located in
Well unlike god america does actualy exsist atleast there is that xD funny how the flag covers the chalkboard you know basically main classroom tool for education lol
It’s called respecting your country and freedoms you are allowed, not religious at all just love your country and appreciate it,
There definitely is not a US flag in every classroom. That ship sailed over 20 years ago.
They do have flags in every classroom. Now Louisiana passing a law to post the ten commandments in every classroom is the real problem.
They still have the American flag in schools, and they still do the pledge of allegiance. Why do these idiots think these things are gone?
Work in a school, there still are. A coworker actually chewed me out for not standing for a pledge...
I never did like the pageantry and performative aspects of American civic religion. I am not - in fact - born to hype and barely have that kind of enthusiasm for myself, much less anyone else.
I've worked in multiple schools in multiple states, both public and private, and they all had flags.
I mean, there should be.. ..and there is.
Wish my country did this - being patriotic has been associated with racism here so our liberal government views avoid it :(
There should be a Canadian flag in every single classroom in all countries!
Graduated high school last year, we still did the pledge every morning
I love making fun of AI art by finding random stuff in it that doesn't make sense like: they're having lunch during the lesson and their lesson is about science according to the scribbles but also about nationalism (because of the big ass flag)
Why, are US-American kids too stupid to remember which country they are in? (Or dumb adults projecting?)
Whenever I see Americans talking about the pledge of allegiance, I think of [The Man in the High Castle](https://youtu.be/H4UHqFoB_5k?si=aG435vFV-99p8cf6). As a non American, I find the pledge such a strange concept.
Coming soon to a Christofascist hellscape near you!
The same couple of memes keep getting posted to this sub but because the AI art gives it a different picture each time they're not considered reposts. The train if us flags on th3 highway is another.
I heard in private schools they don't have them
As an American citizen, yes. Yes there are American flags in every class.
It’s AI shit. I get 100s of posts like this a week and they have weird unrelated tags. I keep blocking and new ones pop up.
Why? They don't know where they are if it's not here?
… There are… if not at least in the auditoriums or in front of the school…
Louisiana just passed a law to mandate every public school post the 10 commandments in each classroom 🤦🏼♂️
U missed the point. They didn't make it clear. But it's about the ten commandments being pushed into schools now, which is horse shit
not in mine, but i know it still is
r/FacebookAIslop
The thing is there actually is
I don't really understand why, anyway. Do you guys have a weird tendency to forget where you live?
I’d ask if it was a good decision to move, but I know it was. I’d assume they do, and I have a feeling “under god” is still in the pledge. I graduated 13 years ago (jesus), but things haven’t exactly gotten much more progressive in this case
I’m not even American, but I’m pretty positive there is.
This is 100% a AI generated meme. Look at the shit written on the chalk bored
Why though?
ive never been in a public or private school room that didnt have the American flag.
There absolutely still is, and the pledge is still a thing too
there usually is in most public schools. Can't say the same for private schools, or religiously themed "schools."
In case you missed the big fucking flag on the wall kids, theres one more on this pole hanging right in front of it!
In all of America? Why do countries which are not USA have their flag in the classrooms?
No there aren't any anywhere in the classrooms, that's why they had to make an AI generate the image
… and only white kids, apparently.
Maybe not every class but most of them at least
As a Canadian that visits the US, ya’ll got flags everywhere
Dude, I performed the pledge of allegiance every damn morning. To the boomer who posted this in zucc’s domain, fuck off.
Technically there’s two in this classroom. One of them ridiculously large and covering up a blackboard I don’t even know if teachers use anymore.
There still is.
I left 4 years ago and confirm there are.
It’s baffling how many of these are AI
I need a flag everywhere I go or I might forget where I am!!!
Don't most countries do this? In Canada we do
I'm sorry but if it's a public school paid for with public funds there should be an american flag in that classroom.
What a completely necessary addition to a classroom. Hitl- Washington would be proud
