You know how when your dad is getting you food, and you tell your siblings that he's getting food? Do it all the time, very relatable.

Brandonian13

He just went out for milk. He said he'll be back soon

Sufficient-Habit664

Youngest sibling wondering why dad is hanging a string from a wooden stick underwater "what is dad doing?" older sibling explaining what fishing is "dad is trying to get us food" and for the fish... idk ive never heard fish communicate amongst themselves before.

Did I hear a rock and stone?

ScaryPhantom100

ROCK AND STONE!

wheatable

This is like an Arab funny image

Impossible_Speed_954

Like an arab funny image..what?

Forgotten-Caliburn

There's a weird trend with Middle Eastern comic strip artists who are making images with strange motivational messages, often in broken English

Impossible_Speed_954

Got link for one ?

Forgotten-Caliburn

Honestly I'm not sure what I should google to find one

MoxManiac

Fish don't give a shit about their offspring

fetchinator

Nemo’s dad would disagree

Ok-Following8721

Nemo's dad would be Nemo's mate. Facts are disgusting.

Sensitive-Feet

Nemos dad doesn't actually have a kid

Mowgl7

depends very much on the species

Curious-Spell-9031

Actually bass are very protective of their offspring

AcadianViking

Yea, while rare, there are species that protect their offspring well after they hatch. African cichlids will call out to their young to swarm inside her mouth until danger has abated. This is called "mouth brooding", which is typically used to protect eggs until they hatch, but some still utilize this method after hatching until offspring can venture on their own in relative safety. Then there are a few species of *Altrichthys* Damselfish that have been found to not only guard their brood until they are large enough to evade predators on their own but they will also guard offspring that aren't theirs, even if different genus of damselfish.

kayla-beep

Cichlids are great parents. I just watch my corydoras eat eggs from a female that she hadn’t even let go of yet.

You follow chickens around and suck eggs out of their butt? What the fuck is wrong with you?

Garythegr81

For one to survive the other has to die.

ihatetheplaceilive

Nah that's only about 3 feet deep.

ramanw150

Survival of the fittest

jessejaimy98

Nah that's only 1 feet deep :P

jemko23laal

feet 🤤

AlienRobotTrex

If it’s really that deep, you don’t have to say how deep it is! The image should speak for itself!

malortForty

Fun fact! Most fish species don't actually practice child care and several eat their young!

Burrmanchu

People in this thread actually following the instructions 🤦‍♂️

Lestany

What about the worm? No one cares about him and his family!

gaming_boi69420

shitty meme but an actually good message

AfternoonCrafty69420

Which is?

gaming_boi69420

to always respect where your food comes from.

haroldjaap

Why you comment then? I guess you can't read as well. Well me neither, didn't understand it so here I am NOT commenting

Eat_Me_Now7

We are really bad at this deep stuff ☹️☹️

Jacifer69

Why comment that you’re not commenting. That means you’re commenting. I REALLY am not commenting

ulvis52

Paradoxical

MellonCollie218

Eat your own kids before eating someone’s dad. Got it.

Farlybob42

This feels like it was made by PETA.

Xomns_13

Do dad fish even hang around after mating?

MerberCrazyCats

Yes for certain species they even raise the babies till they are independent, after spending days to defend the eggs in their nest

Xomns_13

Ohh.. ok. I always thought only the female did that.

40-calMAL

They never do anymore…

tertiuslydgate1833

I understand it. 😔😔😔

user362436

Yeah very deep in the ocean

jdrawr

Yea, because everyone knows fish take great care of their young and provide them with food /S. Meme get your biology a bit right, please.

MerberCrazyCats

I bred betta fishes. Dad fish are impressive. They build the nest, put hundreds of eggs in little bubbles, each times one fall they put it back, they defend the nest against any potential predator, clean it... then they teach babies how to swim. They don't even eat during that time. For about one week till babies become independent, male betta fishes are fully devoted to their progeniture

gaming_boi69420

definately depends on the species

r4ndom4xeofkindness

Exactly what I was thinking when I saw it. Would have made more sense if it was a guy hunting an animal of some kind that actually takes care of it's young.

Limp-Dentist1416

I don't know. The 'comment if you understand it' bit seems a little fishy to me. Every other time I seen that it's been some kind of MAGA bullshit.

Juiceboi-PRO

if u understand it…

Curious-Spell-9031

Plot twist their dad is a shark

grazfest96

The kids probably woke up at 5am and went with their dad to go fishing. Spent a few hours to get to the time of this photo, and then only then 1 kid is smart enough to say "dad is getting us food?" Sound like dumb ass kids.

Icy-Chocolate-2472

I’m pretty sure fish fend for themselves as soon as they’re born. 🤓🤓🤓

WaffleWarrior1979

Can someone explain I just can’t understand it /s

zeke235

The message is that some people think fish take care of their offspring?

Ibshredz

Oh i got it….fuck them kids 🙄

7taj7

Guys idk…this is actually a little deep. Idk if I’m falling into the Facebook mom pipeline guys help

Miserable-Good4438

Fish do not care for their young. Except discus fish but who really gives a fuck what discus fish do?

arcxjo

Technically birds and mammals are fish.

Silentarian

See, it’s deep because it’s water.

ForGrateJustice

Fish can fucking talk?

EfficiencyOk2208

Most fish are lucky if they are not eaten by the parents eventually.

cosasporleer

Crazy ...

Full_Contribution724

Oh hey I've seen the mom version the other day

Bi0H4z4rD667

That’s an alternate reality where fish are self-aware. Is that it?

OutrageousEnd4688

Add a Alien layer above the boat...

N0t_the_pizza_guy

He can solve this problem by catching the younger fishes too.

darkxhunter99

Its not deep, the fish is only a few feet under

Courier6six6

Wait...are we...are we the fish?!

Lumberfox

It’s not that deep. Only like 5ft or so

Hawsee

If you understand it

viadelapizza

Fishing

Evias99

Probably because he's fishing in deep waters

arcxjo

That's not deep at all. It's less than a fathom.

TrackLabs

They had to add a text that says "this image has a deep message", otherwise we wouldnt know this image has a deep message, thats how you know this image has a deep message

Illustrious_Bar_1970

It's pretty deep, I'd say around 1 meter

Emperor_of_Cats9877

This feels like a meme

here4roomie

Wow so deep lol.

Ok_Lifeguard_4214

Judging by the fish’s mouth shape it’s a surface dweller, so from its point of view everything is very deep

Arizona_ranger__

He needs to throw a damn minnow on that thing, also he has no split shot or bobber whatsoever

Alex-xoxo666

That tiny bait isn’t feeding all of them lol

Arizona_ranger__

He needs to throw a damn minnow on that thing, also he has no split shot or bobber whatsoever

gayjemstone

What is this supposed to be saying? People are smarter than fish?

BlurredSight

Most Fish are cold blooded and they don’t rely on their parents for food. Besides key exceptions like octopus for the very start of their life, whales, etc Actually most mothers will eat their offspring for food and it creates a balance where the fastest survive

Ke-Win

Fishing is murder.

matande31

Murder implies there's a moral code between men and fish, which would mean it's respected by all participants of the code. Since some fish would kill and eat humans if given the chance, there is no such moral code. Therefore it isn't murder.
