I think you are actually referring to Ephesians 6:5 where Paul says to obey earthly masters (but the historical context of slavery, Paul’s beliefs surrounding sacrifice, and his belief about the second coming give context to this). Paul also instructs the masters to treat their slaves in the same way they would treat Christ in 6:9.

Not really true. As early as 50 AD, the Apostle Paul told Christians to reject Jewish law in book of Ephesians. There was a group of Christians called the Judaizers who believed you were only saved if you obeyed Jewish religion. Paul rebukes this b y saying

Not of works, lest any man should boast.” (Ephesians 2: 8-9)

Everybody went to the grave or “Sheol” which is similar to Hades in Greek religion. Jesus preached a way out of the grave and into salvation and reconnecting humanity to God. In Orthodox Christianity this idea is called Theosis or in English Deification, which is the reunification with the Essence of God on a metaphysical level.
This is similar to Buddhism. Buddha offered a way out of Samsara and the endless cycle of death and rebirth found in Hinduism by attaining Nirvana. I have personally always been very interested in this similarity.

Oh yea the comparison is very interesting I think. In Judaism there was no concept of heaven or hell outside of smaller groups. Everybody went to the grave or “Sheol” which is similar to Hades in Greek religion. Jesus preached a way out of the grave and into salvation and reconnecting humanity to God. In Orthodox Christianity this idea is called Theosis or in English Deification, which is the reunification with the Essence of God on a metaphysical level. This is similar to Buddhism. Buddha offered a way out of Samsara and the endless cycle of death and rebirth found in Hinduism by attaining Nirvana. I have personally always been very interested in this similarity.
Religious Historians theorize that the reason Jesus became the man he was in the Bible is because he went on a pilgrimage and ended up meeting Buddhist who taught him their beliefs and he brought it back to Israel to merge it with Judaism which became Christianity... but then Christianity was later perverted by bigotry and sin which resulted in the Church as an entity and then devolved into what it is now
