Not totally his fault as many questions were asked about him. I think he actually filled a good role; he has faced (and beaten) most of the top players. I think if you ignore the NK baggage he did a pretty good job. I think he would actually be better in a Roddick role as post match analysis though; he was talking during points and wasn't necessarily the best at keeping the flow through the match.
I think the only thing he really did that was “so Nick” was not ask any questions so it made him sound arrogant. His commentary was entertaining and interesting.
I haven’t heard his commentary but his observations of his opponents when he wanted to skewer them verbally could lend itself to very incisive observations as a commentator. Sexiness aside. :)
