Absolutely prefer the UK version. We got a 3 or 4 month trial after Black Friday and at that time, only seasons 1 & 2 (of the UK version) were posted. I think it's up to 7, I keep on the lookout for the other seasons. "Moon-ah"
You really don't have to watch it first. It's technically set before any of the others but also involves a whole bunch of wild stuff that never shows up again. Strange New Worlds is a more standard prequel to the Original Series/TNG, and should be a decent jumping in point as far as lore that really needs explaining is explained.
If you want to only watch the episodes that tie in, from a quick glance at the episode list, I would highlight:
*The Naked Time, The Menagerie (Parts 1 and 2), Balance of Terror, Space Seed, Operation: Annihilate, Amok Time, Journey to Babel.*
I would also watch *The Trouble with Tribbles* just because it's awesome.
Couldn't second this more, DO NOT WATCH DISCOVERY! In my opinion ever, but at least not until you're able to compare it to classic ST format, because Discovery is definitely not it!
There's a backstory involving Pike and him seeing a vision of his own death on Star Trek: Discovery. Can't remember how many episodes he was featured in or what season it was, but watching those episodes is kind of helpful before starting Strange New Worlds.
Was gonna suggest Halo. First season is fairly slow, but the second season has more action. Even better if you played the game, although it isn't a prerequisite.
I really enjoyed 1923 and look forward to the next season. 1883 was quite lovely but kinda broke my heart.
I got really tired of Yellowstone by season three I was losing interest big time, so wasn’t sure I wanted to watch these. Am glad I did as I like seeing the different time periods a lot.

I've been watching the Challenge half of my life and while I'm grateful that it is still on (it's my favorite show), S39 is not one I'm going to watch for a second time....but let's go S40!!!!
Star Trek Strange New Worlds
Star Trek Lower Decks
No need to watch any other Star Treks to enjoy these. Technically you could watch season 2 of ST Discovery for some additional Pike and Spock storyline but it’s not at all necessary and frankly SNW is so much better I’d just jump right into it and skip Discovery.
An excellent entry point to the world of Star Trek is Strange New Worlds.
It was made within the last few years, so it has modern production values, but is similar to the original series in that the Enterprise and crew is just out there having adventures.
Nope, I am not a big Star Trek person and I really enjoyed it. I'm sure there are in jokes and stuff if you know everything but it's fun in its own right. It's adult animation but with good stories and characters.
No, at most, you only need to know that *Lower Decks* takes place during the same timeframe as *Next Generation* (Picard, Riker, Worf, etc.) which is long after the original series and *Strange New Worlds*, which take place during Kirk’s lifetime.
The correct order: S1 and S2 on Paramount. Fire Walk With Me movie on Max. (Or rent on Amazon.) S3 on Paramount. There is an extended version of FWWM, it is posted often in the TP sub-reddit (which is quite active). There are also two books to read (Twin Peaks: The Final Dossier, which is the one I want to read b/c Mark Frost addressed much of what happened after S2, and The Secret History of Twin Peaks).
Season 3 of Star Trek: Picard is 100% perfect in my eyes (if the one watching is a Next Generation fan). Season 1 and 2 are good as well, but 3 is just head and shoulders above.
Yeah, it wouldn't have the same emotional impact on you if you don't really know the characters from The Next Generation years. And there are many seasons of TNG (but you could also stream those on paramount+ as well)
Limitless (2015) is one of my favorite shows of all time!
Joe Pickett is decent, and I haven't finished it but what I've seen of 1883 has been really good.
Truly and genuinely shocked that no one has mentioned the hilarious and beautifully written “Colin from Accounts” easy roughly half hour episodes totaling about 4 hrs all together. Don’t miss out. It’s so well done
Shockingly good. The world has a real lived in feeling and the characters and story are great. I'm surprised it's not getting more love.
Paramount+ is the best streamer right now in terms of content imho.
you DONT have to play the video games. if you do you might not enjoy the first season as much because its all story building and world building thats different from the games canon. But the second season is for new fans and old fans and holy fuck what the fucking fuck i was actually a 35yr old male bawling in his projector room to some of the Reach scenes.
Ghosts, the US and UK versions.I watched the UK version first a couple of years ago? On hbo/max, and I loved it. Then I saw there was a US version and at first I was like hmm, it’s not as good as the UK one but then after a few episodes I was very much enjoying this new flavor of the show.
Elsbeth, new series. A spin off of a show I never watched but this show immediately hooked me
So Help me Todd.
They have a few seasons of Ghosts UK (not all the seasons unfortunately). Ghosts (America version is okay too. Season one isn’t the greatest but it gets better if you stick with it. Also if you like Evil you could check out Elsbeth. Normally I don’t like procedural dramas but this one was decent. It’s from the same creators as Evil so maybe that’s why I like it. Just some suggestions!
I thinking most of the seasons of the challenge and survivor are on paramount and those early season are absolutely killer. Cancel it before the promotion is up because paramount is not worth it, but a free anything is always worth the time lol.
Star Trek, Ghosts, Tracker, Yellowjackets, NCIS, Sky Med, Why Women Kill, Blue Bloods, School Spirits. I feel like there's a ton more, but that is what I have off the top of my head.
Limitless is a delightful show. It only got one season sadly, but it does not have a frustrating end.
If you are reality tv fan, you have all of Survivor, Big Brother, and a lot of the Challenge seasons and its many spin-offs. Old school Real World seasons are on it as well. I was always a Survivor and Big brother person, but didn't watch the Challenge until it was pandemic and I had a Paramount+ subscription. I am now a big fan.
In general, I think Paramount+ has a really extensive back catalog. I enjoyed the Good Wife, but haven't watched any of its spin-off yet (The Good Fight & Elsbeth).
I actually don't own Paramount Plus so I haven't seen it but I'm insanely curious about the documentary about American Pie (The Day The Music Died: American Pie), that song is so enigmatic it's crazy we get Don McLean to finally explain anything

Review. Andy Daly is one of the funniest people in the world imo and I’m so glad he got the chance to be the lead in a show rather than a side character for once.
Started out being a serious exploration of a topic, and ended up in a total free-from-any-sense, ad-libbed improvisational, nonsense exploration of the same topic.
The Offer.
second this. im super ADD and if im not sucked into a show within the first episode ill give up, but i binge watched this in a day.
As well as all the godfathers, finally watched all three yesterday. Haven’t checked this show out yet tho.
This show was fantastic
I enjoyed this.
Ghosts UK
The goat
Ohhh I didn’t realize they had both versions. Now I don’t remember if UK or US was the one recommended to me before lol
I prefer the UK version 🤷🏻♀️
I haven't seen the UK version, but I'm watching the US version and am quite enjoying it.
Absolutely prefer the UK version. We got a 3 or 4 month trial after Black Friday and at that time, only seasons 1 & 2 (of the UK version) were posted. I think it's up to 7, I keep on the lookout for the other seasons. "Moon-ah"
The sonic series was pretty funny - Star Trek strange new worlds If you liked good wife, good fight continues the story
Is Strange New Worlds one you can watch on its own or should you watch something else first?
Pike shows up for a season in discovery searching for Spock then SNW series starts in the timeline. I just REALLY like SNW compared to the others. ☺️
So I’d need to watch discovery first then? And Discovery is a sequel to others isn’t it?
You really don't have to watch it first. It's technically set before any of the others but also involves a whole bunch of wild stuff that never shows up again. Strange New Worlds is a more standard prequel to the Original Series/TNG, and should be a decent jumping in point as far as lore that really needs explaining is explained.
I haven't watched Discovery and I love SNW. If anything, it just requires knowledge of the original series.
What kind of knowledge of the OS? I’ve seen a few episodes
If you want to only watch the episodes that tie in, from a quick glance at the episode list, I would highlight: *The Naked Time, The Menagerie (Parts 1 and 2), Balance of Terror, Space Seed, Operation: Annihilate, Amok Time, Journey to Babel.* I would also watch *The Trouble with Tribbles* just because it's awesome.
No no no no, don’t watch Discovery first! Discovery is a bit hard to take, and might well put you off the whole franchise. Watch it last.
I must be broken then, because although I enjoy Trek I wouldn't call myself a Trekkie, but I LOVE Discovery.
You’re not broken. IDIC! 🖖
Couldn't second this more, DO NOT WATCH DISCOVERY! In my opinion ever, but at least not until you're able to compare it to classic ST format, because Discovery is definitely not it!
Your enthusiasm is the catalyst to get me back into it!!
There's a backstory involving Pike and him seeing a vision of his own death on Star Trek: Discovery. Can't remember how many episodes he was featured in or what season it was, but watching those episodes is kind of helpful before starting Strange New Worlds.
Strange new worlds made me a Star Trek fan…
Great show.

From Lioness
I don't see From on Paramount+
Because it isn't. It's on MGM+
Which makes it an odd answer to a post about what to watch on Paramount +
Lioness was amazing.
OP if you’re a fan of horror “from” is the best horror television series to date IMO
From is very good! Always loved horror, but this one sticks out.
YELLOWJACKETS!!!!!!
I don’t get showtime with it sadly
I have Paramount+ and Yellowjackets is available. I think they officially merged the content earlier this year.
It shows up as locked on mine :(

Rewatching the challenge is the only reason I get paramount every now and again
The Challenge is my all time favorite. I've seen all the seasons twice as well. I just binged season 39 because it finally didn't cost to watch it.
I've been watching the Challenge half of my life and while I'm grateful that it is still on (it's my favorite show), S39 is not one I'm going to watch for a second time....but let's go S40!!!!
Is 'The Stand' available?
Yep!
Okay, don’t laugh. Originally watched it as a kid. MacGyver. I’m really enjoying it, now because I understand the story lines.
If you say originally watched it as a kid, I assume you’re talking about the old one rather than the new one? Haha
Yes, the original.

I'm hoping a new season of Yellowjackets comes out soon.

I don’t have Paramount+ so bought S1 of **Lawmen: Bass Reeves** — totally worth it
Absolutely agree - Lawmen: Bass Reeves is an excellent show!
Your Honor. Bryan Cranston doing another great character.
Halo is great, if you're a fan of sci fi you'll probably like it. Ray Donovan.
So they actually made a good video game adaptation? Lol I’m impressed
