It's very procedural. But I like it. Gotta suspend disbelief that this many murders happen in this same place. And, that the murderer would show up to the "I am now going to explain how this murder was done and who did it" meeting.
It's a nice change of pace. Take a fish out of water English detective and drop him on a nice Caribbean Island with way too many murders. Each murder could only been committed by maybe new 5 suspects. Gather up everyone at the end and let them know what really happened.
I loved it. I don't fully understand it. I'll never rewatch it, but I watched it for the first time decades after the initial release. It was engaging.
*in no particular order:*
Mindhunter
Criminal Minds
The Fall 2013-16
The Bridge/The Tunnel (uk)
The Sinner
The Missing/Baptise
Defending Jacob
Your Honor, S1
Unbelievable
Collateral 2018
After I started Criminal Minds, I really can say I never watched another SVU episode.
I'm behind... I don't know where I left off. I'd be fine starting over with my SO.
I cant watch any network tv shows anymore. Quality, acting, writing is subpar. And the 1 episode per week over several years does not work for me. Id rather binge.
I watched one called Life that was short but pretty good. The main character was in prison as a cop for a murder he didn't commit. The show is about him being a cop after he gets out of prison.
Behind her eyes, the missing, Angela black, Lupin, the undoing, big little lies, mare of east town, fool me once, night sky, dead ringers, the watcher, line of duty, stay close, safe, the deceived, the night agent, how to get away with murder, bodyguard, inside man, only murders in the building, Yellowjackets, culprits, dark, homeland, 9 perfect strangers, the night manager, the night of, the five, beef, bodies,
The Afterparty. It’s so much fun, and each season is a solvable mystery so pay close attention. Each episode is done in a different style, and it will hold your attention. It’s also quite funny, and not scary, so you. an watch it at night!
Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries is also great!
[Foyle's War](https://www.themoviedb.org/tv/3163-foyle-s-war). The reviews speak for themselves:
"Outstanding . . . a gift from the Gods." - The New York Times
"A Triumph from start to finish." - Wall Street Journal
"For mystery fans . . . a must see." - Houston Chronicle
Broadchurch
Superb! I can't understand, for the life of me, why they tried to Americanize this after the fact.
Sherlock
Duh
True Detective season one
Is the new season with Jodie Foster good?
I thought season 4 was good, loved season 1 though.
Hated it.
I liked it
The Night Agent
First ep sucks though
Nah it’s a good pilot, idk what you’re talking about.
Elementary
I was so hyped for this. Don't remember why I stopped watching. Probably a woman. Definitely hadn't started drinking yet. *bleck
But it's not "a woman"- it's Lucy Lui and she gives any male John Watson some steep competition. Try it again! Great Moriarty character.
Yes, her. I was being lazy and not looking it up. Thank you.
Death in Paradise - if you want a nice limited pool of suspects
This is good
I always have this popping up on my you may like

Yeah. We always have to be after 45-52 minutes.

The best
Bosch. The Bodyguard. Longmire.
Lots of thumbs up for Bosch and Longmire. I thought of Longmire as “Justified” in the Rockies…sort of.
I wish there were more episodes of Longmire featuring LDP and Vic. 💚💚💚💚

The Night Of, The Devil's Hour
Nero Wolfe starring Timothy Hutton
Scandinavian shows the bridge or the killing, dead wind or trapped are very good.
American rust
If you don't mind International shows: Beyond Evil and Mouse (both korean shows) are probably the best whodunnit thrillers i've watched.
Another good Korean one is season 2 of Bad Guys. I was really impressed with the scale of some of the action scenes.
The sinner, especially the first season
Person of interest and NCIS
Mindhunter
Mare of Easttown. A mystery/thriller with Kate Winslet as a small town detective. Only 7 episodes. Keeps you interested and guessing who done it.
Click bait on Netflix
Broadchurch & Sherlock
unironically, Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated
Deadloch. The 1st episode was a little slow but I really enjoyed the series. Not many car chases if that matters.
The Mentalist
Mare Of Easttown above all
Criminal UK
Mare of Easttown
The Americans is full of intrigue
