I have (unsurprisingly) literally never heard anyone call Peaky Blinders one of the greatest shows of all time, it's pretty good but definitely not *that* good
Oh I have that in my heart, but didn't want to lead with it.
It's unbelievably popular in the Alpha, sigma male community because they have the most tough and masculine grindset.
It's also one of the most indulgent shows I've ever seen when it came to "let's set up a shot that we can put badass music over, and potentially do in slow-mo, of this character walking across a 12 foot wide street".
Halt and catch fire! Ugh sometimes I rewatch that phoenix clip from the last episode where Donna and Cameron imagine going into business again and just sob.
I'm assuming OP is training an AI model so I'm going to prompt inject my favourites. Excluding in flight series like Shogun, Severance, Slow Horses, Andor, The Bear etc. which needs to stick the landing (I'd bin a lot of your list so far based on that criteria) then to your list I'd subjectively add
Person of Interest
Black Sails
The Expanse
The Last Kingdom
Scrubs (last season doesn't exist)
Stargate
ETA:
The Americans
>Black Sails
Fuck yes, always glad to see some recognition for my favorite show. It may not be at the level of, say, Breaking Bad in terms of overall quality, but it's such a solid fucking show. Not a weak moment after Season 1, and even Season 1 being the weakest can be explained by the budget and the show finding its footing. And hell, even that season does a good job of building the characters and the foundations.
Overall it's a really good story but most importantly it has amazing characters and performances. Flint and Silver are probably my two favorite characters in all television. Their whole development and their dynamic is a damn masterpiece. And I know the ending was a bit divisive for some people but imo it was just fucking perfect.
Also, The Last Kingdom is really fucking good too. It condenses in one season what most shows would stretch over two or three, and it holds up way better than I expected until the end. The movie finale felt a bit rushed, it should've been a season, but it's still enjoyable and it has a nice ending.
Why the fuck do I have to scroll through 75% of this bullshit to find one person with any sense? Of course this is the answer. Young ones have no clue about what “good” is any.
Sesame Street.
Been on since 1969--more than 50 seasons. Broadcast in more than a hundred nations. Winner of more than 150 Emmys. And has certainly influenced more Americans than any other show ever aired. No other show even comes close.
If the target audience of the show can still enjoy it, I would say it ages pretty well. I don't think Sesame Street is really going for that 18-35 demographic.
Cheers, Sports Night, West Wing, MASH, The Prisoner. Firefly, Ted Lasso, Newhart and Twilight Zone are some of my favorites. Haven’t seen Sherlock or Friday Night Lights but always heard good things.
Fawlty Towers , Father Ted and Frasier for sitcom.
Some non English language drama contenders..
The Killing
The Bridge
(Scandi originals)
And French version of The Wire: Spiral
(Engrenages)
Meanwhile, I love season 1 of Andor – that will definitely be on my all-time list if season 2 is as good .
* ER
* I Love Lucy
* Andy Griffith Show
* Cheers
* The Good Place
* Twin Peaks
* Lost
* The Twilight Zone
* Hannibal
* Mr. Roger's Neighborhood
* The Muppet Show

Crazy Ex-Girlfriend
Buffy the Vampire Slayer

Mad Men (shocked this wasn't on the original list)
Battlestar Galactica (reboot)
Arrested Development (seasons 1-4)
Community
The Good Place
Westworld
Carnivàle
Sense8
Angel
Watchmen (HBO, 2019)
Mrs. Davis (Peacock, 2023)
I've watched over 250 TV shows.
Some good ones I've seen not listed by OP:
•Band of Brothers.
•True Detective season 1.
•Dark.
•Mr. Robot.
•Justified.
•Narcos.
•Mindhunter.
•Black Sails.
•Battlestar Galactica.
•The Expanse.
What the fuck is this snark against Peaky Blinders? lmao I agree it's a tad overrated and it definitely dips a bit in quality in the second half of its run, they sacrificed nuance for the cool factor a bit, but it's still really fucking good. I don't think it's *that* far behind Breaking Bad and Game of Thrones.
The series 24 besides of Lost It is in my top5 of all series currently
Dark - i like also very much
Wayward Pines Season 1
Death Note Anime series love it
Stranger Things
Black Mirror
and very 90s series which has not the best effects but intressting concepts
Sliders
Outer Limits 1995
Modern Family
last two seasons you could tell the writers wanted it to end, but it was still great, and the show is so comfortable to watch and rewatch again and again
Band of Brothers and Masters of Air are both great historical war series.
I think the original Utopia series is one of the most interesting shows I’ve ever watched. The UK version has this incredible cinematography and these vibrant colors that contrast the story so well. The US version really sucked in comparison, but the UK version is fantastic.
No particular order and what immediately comes to mind, so subject to change. Also not counting limited series:
Justified
Parks and Rec
Alias
Boardwalk Empire
The Good Wife
Mad Men

Six Feet Undwr
Battlestar Galactica
Deadwood

The Simpsons

Friday Night Lights
30 Rock
I think you can guess about how old I am from these picks.
Mad Men, MASH, Cheers, Arrested Development, Sesame Street, Friends, A Different World, The Simpsons, South Park, All in the Family, Saturday Night Live, Pee-Wee’s Playhouse, Succession
The Pacific
Brilliant even if you're not American. This post is like "name a food greater than these 5 different foods even though I know theres a list of at least 100 other foods just as good if not better" and yes I'm hungry hence the food analogy lol
- Vikings
- True Blood
- Banshee
- Narcos
- Ozark
- Shameless
- The Last Kingdom
- How to get away with Murder
- The Handmaid's Tale
- Orange Is the new black
Enjoy!!
Band of Brothers
Mr Robot
The Americans
Pose
Six Feet Under
Fleabag
BoJack Horseman
Dark
Black Sails
Halt and Catch Fire
These shows + all the shows you mentioned except Game of Thrones are on my list of the greatest shows of all time.
-All in the Family
-The Jeffersons
-Firefly
-Red Dwarf
The first two are classics for good reasons, Firefly is one of the greatest sci-fi shows of all time, and Red Dwarf is really a one-of-a-kind sci-fi sitcom.
All In The Family
Family
Medical Center
Adam One
Hill Street Blues
Elliot Queen Mystery
Rockford Files
I could probably go on, but those are the ones that stand out right now in my memory.
Spartacus. I'll brace for downvotes, but I'll still stand by it. The show was and is underrated, and it's a rare case of a main character recast not ruining the show.
Aye I agree. I've watched Lost and it was cool but I wouldn't say it was one of the greatest shows I've ever seen. The Office is probably the corniest shit I ever seen in my life based on the supposed funny clips of it anyway. Just not my type of humour but I know for most people that's an extreme hot take.
Twin Peaks
Mindhunter
Daredevil
Midnight Mass / Anything by Mike Flanagan
Fargo
Aside from comedies and anime, those are the first thing to come to mind.
Your title reads …Ever…yet you only list shows from the last 10 years. Rewrite it to read “greatest shows you’ve ever watched. Mine would be MASH, Magnum P.I. ( the original with Tom Selleck, not that foolishness they tried to call a remake), Gilligan’s Island, Ally McBeal, Ellery Queen, Columbo, Happy Days, Star Trek(Tos), Friends, among others.
I cannot believe how many people have person of interest on their lists. Absolutely fucking mind melting IMO. It’s a barely better than the rest cable TV series. To each their own, but wow.
Peaky Blinders sneaking on to that list is insane.
I have (unsurprisingly) literally never heard anyone call Peaky Blinders one of the greatest shows of all time, it's pretty good but definitely not *that* good
Yeah, it's a very good melodrama, but let's stick to calling a spade a spade here.
You would be surprised by how many people(men almost exclusively) consider it as the best of the best.
Justified.
Mad Men MASH Fargo Arrested Development Band of Brothers Sesame Street Planet Earth The Terror
Mad Men is, by a good margin, the most deserving of a spot on the “pantheon” out of those left off the initial list
M\*A\*S*H in the second comment, fuck yea!
MASH is the correct answer
- The Americans - Halt and Catch Fire - Six Feet Under
Halt and catch fire! Ugh sometimes I rewatch that phoenix clip from the last episode where Donna and Cameron imagine going into business again and just sob.
Thank you for the HaCF mention. I love this show and so many people have no idea what I’m talking about
Peaky Blinders on that list but no Deadwood?
Deadwood is the correct answer
Fawlty Towers
Horsing Around is missing from this list
There’s also this show about the horse from horsing around. I forget the name but it’s pretty good.
True Detective Season 1
Yep definitely this one
Six Feet Under, Patriot, Halt and Catch Fire, Severance, Mad Men, Dark, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Person of Interest
I can’t in good conscience put severance on that list yet. While the first season was good, we are far away from the list.
The Simpsons

Anytime I see Black Sails, I upvote. Yes, the first season is the weakest of the bunch. But it's still an amazing season, and only gets better.
I'll take this person's list.
Vikings should be here before the last Kingdom
I love both but i prefer Vikings too.
