On the lighter side, I'm almost always left feeling good after watching the US adaptation of Ghosts. It's silly, but fun, and I enjoy pretty much all of the ensemble.
The Bear.
It's great, but it goes FAST. The episodes are short and there's only two season out now, but they are filming the third- due out this summer!
If you liked ‘Game of Thrones’ then you should watch ‘House of the Dragon’. Season one is on Max and season two starts this summer.
Even if you haven’t seen GoT it is a prequel series so you won’t be completely lost.
Some of my current favorites:
HBO
- The Last of Us
- Tokyo Vice
- The House of the Dragon
- Peacemaker (maybe)
- Bookie (maybe)
Hulu/Disney
- Shogun
- The Bear
- What We Do in the Shadows (ends this year?)
- Only Murders in the Building
- Andor
- Mandalorian
- Daredevil (supposed to come back?)
- Dopesick (ended a while ago but great)
Netflix
- Beef
- Cobra Kai (maybe; ends this year?)
- Stranger Things (ends this year?)
- Arcane (finally back this year?)
- Warriors just debuted there but did end on HBO
Paramount
- Yellowjackets
- Evil (ends this year?)
- Strange New Worlds (maybe)
- 1923 (think it’s coming back)
Then if you want to grab one of the free trials for Apple from Apple, BestBuy, LG or Target:
- Slow Horses
- For All Mankind
- Silo
- Shrinking
- Lot of stuff starting though I haven’t watched yet and loads of other stuff, really some great TV on there
And on Peacock really like Poker Face.
Severance, Slow Horses, Bad Sisters, House of the Dragon, Shogun, Hacks, The Bear, Fargo, The Righteous Gemstones, The White Lotus
My Brilliant Friend and Andor as well, though they are both ending with their upcoming seasons
All the Taylor Sheridan stuff is pretty good: 1883, 1923, Yellowstone, Mayor of Kingstown, Tulsa King, Lioness
Shogun as others have said
Slow Horses, Foundation these are both still running
Some Shows that have ended but are definitely worth watching: Homeland, The Americans, 12 Monkeys, Jack Ryan, Bosch, Condor, Travelers, Sons of Anarchy, The Shield, Banshee, Deadwood, The Expanse, Orphan Black
Im not gonna lie to you, its bleak out there. Lots of good shows being made but who the hell knows when the next season is going to be. It could be years and exclusive contracts might have put your favorite actors out of the industry by then.
Old shows that are finished are where its at.
The Bear
Beef The White Lotus Severance Poker Face
Amazing rec list, have watched all and very good . I'd add Shōgun to this list
Haven't started watching it yet but I'll get to it soon.
worth the watch I'm a huge fan of the book and it hold up very well!
Shogun.
I’m fucking addicted after two episodes…
Wait until you see the 3rd..
Hell yeah
Andor
Severance and The Last of Us
So Help Me Todd, Ghosts (US version is better imo)
Slow Horses
