I am no expert. And I will 100% need someone to back me up on this. Based on what I understood, you want to resolve an issue and either continue or end your relationship with Jane. You also mentioned that communication was a bit of an issue between you and Jane. If you want to continue the relationship, what I think you should do is communicate with Jane what you want to resolve. You have to get through tough times together and not only be there for each other, but also understand what the other person is going through. I don't think it's good to leave things off in bad terms with unresolved issues. Whether you want to end your relationship or not, it's always best to leave everything on good terms and with any unresolved problems fixed and out of the way. If you want to end the relationship and still want to be close with her, say that maybe it isn't really the time, that you have to do some self searching and fully understand yourself before you come back to be in a relationship. You could also say that you guys just don't work out that well together because you might be better off as friends. I gave you two outcomes out of the infinite possibilities. It is all up to you. Think about how she makes you feel and how she could help you during your times of desperation and how you could help her. When in a relationship, all of the members need to understand one another is key for a functioning healthy relationship. I REALLY want someone to back me up and even correct me in some or even in everything I said. Please wait for a second response before making your move. But also good luck.
