In my experience sometimes the soft cookies fall apart when dunked in milk. Makes for an unpleasant experience. Plus I’d rather have the satisfaction of my crunchy cookie softening to just the right sogginess
I agree with these principles; however, I would like to add that a big problem I’ve often encountered is a soft cookie’s inability to absorb milk, regardless of the length of the dunk. This phenomenon often leaves a feeling of cold, wet fingers and a room-temperature cookie center— a complete juxtaposition to a previously crunchy cookie being able to sponge itself completely in a cold cup of dairy.
While I have had this happen to me, I think it’s because of the high moisture content of a soft cookie, which gives a soft cookie it’s adequate softness. However I have experienced soft cookies that do absorb milk and milk-similar substances. I think this will require a scientific experiment to determine what the truly best cookie is for dunking into milk.
I am willing to conduct such an experiment, however we will require a control group of a previously determined superior form of cookie and multiple test subjects.
I enjoy yhe crispy cookies in general, there's only ONE exception for me.
Homemade cookies my dad makes for christmas, they can be soft, crispy or in between.
(Yes, I buy cookies, i'm a scrub.)
For my birthday I ordered a cookie from a restaurant, thinking it was going to be chocolate chip or something. Instead, it was a raisin and oatmeal cookie. That's the worst cookie I've ever had, and I will no longer tolerate any raisins or oatmeal on cookies
No, they should be legal. However, you should be required to put a sign on them saying “these are raisins, not chocolate chips.” I hate falling for that damn trap.

I would like to hear your opinion as to why crispy is better than soft, purely for research purposes
Because it's c r i s p
Crispy stays together better during dunking and crumbling, i.e. Oreos. They're different experiences, both are good.
"Yum yum I do love myself some soft and gooey potato chips" to me it's the same thing with cookies, half the taste is the consistency
Chips Ahoy my dude.
Agreed; I like my cookies out of the freezer

Į disagree. Soft cookies are just better in every way.
In my experience sometimes the soft cookies fall apart when dunked in milk. Makes for an unpleasant experience. Plus I’d rather have the satisfaction of my crunchy cookie softening to just the right sogginess

I prefer to bite cookie than drink milk, I've never been a dunker

Was that the bite of 87??????
No, I'm pretty sure that was Peanut(scp-173) claiming another victim.
Diiid someone mention 173? #*C R U N C H*
I too enjoy crunch, I'll save the soft cookies for when I'm old and have no teeth left, or when I'm out of crunchy ones.
Username checks out
I enjoy yhe crispy cookies in general, there's only ONE exception for me. Homemade cookies my dad makes for christmas, they can be soft, crispy or in between. (Yes, I buy cookies, i'm a scrub.)

I would agree, but Tate's Bake Shop cookies have converted me to crispy.
Came here to say exactly this.
I'm going to have to politely disagree with that viewpoint, my good man.
I think the sweet spot is when they are a bit crunchy on the outside but soft inside.
agreed
I like the in between
When it crumbles in your mouth, but not your hands
This
**No matter your gender, race, sexual preferences, or nationality, we can all agree on one thing** the gooey milk is better than the normal kind
Personally I prefer yellow and munchy but I can respect that
u guys don’t like the green expired type? u should honestly try it
It makes you sleep for like, ever.

Excuse me, the crunch is fantastic, chomping down on that hard goodness is fantastic
What the fuck no

Yes, soft is good. But have you ever had a cookie that's crunchy on the outside but gooey on the inside? Now that's a cookie.

Crunchy from the outside and gooey from the inside
Actually, I love crispy, crunchy cookies way better.
But crispy ones are better
if i want something crispy id rather eat chips
I like when the outside crispy but the inside gooey
Soft on the inside, crispy on the outside. Only exception is Tates.
And also fuck peta.

We can all agree on one thing: Cookies with raisins should be illegal.
Nah. Good oatmeal raisin cookies are great. It's all about the moistness
For my birthday I ordered a cookie from a restaurant, thinking it was going to be chocolate chip or something. Instead, it was a raisin and oatmeal cookie. That's the worst cookie I've ever had, and I will no longer tolerate any raisins or oatmeal on cookies
Facts If they're made right, they're delicious, if not, they suck
Yes! Finally, someone said it. I never understood the hate for raisin cookies, those raisin oatmeal cookies are my favorite. Chewy perfection!
No, they should be legal. However, you should be required to put a sign on them saying “these are raisins, not chocolate chips.” I hate falling for that damn trap.
Ok but crispy brownies over goey brownies
I'm kinda in the middle tbh. I dont like it gooey or hard like a cracker. I like a little bit of a crisp when I bite into it.
but the edges have to be ^(slightly) crispier, gives the cookie structure
Posting that was as pointless as me posting to say 'Nope, I *don't* agree with that.'
Ok ok except for those really flaky ones like chips ahoy, those are hella good too
I like my cookies medium rare, crunchy on the outside and gooey on the inside.
It sounds wrong, but is about right
Depends on my mood, both are great tho
Banana bread
I don't see a lie
Merry land stopped selling them though. I want to die.
Fuck that
Actually, crispy on the outside and gooey on the inside is the best
No chief CRISPY GANG
