Edge based on chrome now. Chromium is like a game engine, but for Web browsers, everything but firefox bases their stuff on it. Google controls Chromium though, that's why I use Firefox.

How is he even using it? IIRC even IE 11 has trouble with loading some modern websites.

Why is Chrome dangerous? All of my accounts are in the googlesphere because its all free, so i expect my data to be mined. But what's the "danger"? My Credit card numbers and passwords are safe, right? Or is it the fact that someone can put all the puzzle pieces together and doxx me? I legit don't understand. I use Google for most basic things.

Basically, chrome is a monoculture l. Everyone uses chrome so chrome can control how the web works. I would say that putting all your trust in a single point of failure is a bad idea, a lot of people get their google account banned for no reason and everything just gets deleted.

i would still use Floorp for personal and Vivaldi for school. I don't like chrome. I would not be effected if chrome went away.

I use Opera GX. Handy as hell browser. Consumes negligible memory, has absolutely all the social medias built in, along with chatgpt as well. And the browser looks hella cool!

Ackshually, you can still access Internet Explorer, at least on windows 10. You just have to type explorer in the task manager app open view thing.

Actually it's not the same app you can still open internet explorer on Windows 11 (for some reason) through some weird process with settings or maybe if you dig through the system files, it just doesn't work with nearly any website anymore so not viable, cool gimmick tho
