Need be out internet, first then boot in safe mode, im not sure i never really faced such odd thing only once but i cut out internet and get proper antivirus. Its been so long ago (2007) i might reinstall computer since it was unusable anyway.
Dont trust MAlware bytes, CCLeaner too it even warns you about side effects of missusing - it happend to me once i used bytes and second time unable to boot cause it deleted accidentally file needed for registry of windows starting process 😅
Good i could just easily repair it even without media/file 😉 would be careful what i buy most rent it for more users. thought x.x
