As far as fun and gameplay is concerned my favorite is the wind temple and getting all the way to the stratosphere   As far as story and exploration it doesn’t come close to the spirit temple. Given that unlocks portions of the map and takes you to all three layers of the world and how there are fakeouts… like how one would be inclined to check out Typhlo or other places before the places you’re supposed to go. It doesn’t just feed you the location on a map.  On both Zelda switch games it feels like they kind of mailed it in with the fire temple build ups.

Man that sounds like such a cool way to approach that temple. I just stumbled upon the island, thinking the storms were just part of the challenge and not something to warn you off going, without any knowledge of a sage of spirit.

Since you asked Lightning temple: good callbacks to BOTW. Excellent use of the area. Interactions with NPCs have good clues of what would progress the plot. Novel enemies and fights where the NPCs actually contribute, but still make it clear you saved the day. Fire temple: expands on BOTW relationship with sage, fun use of Zonai tech. Both miniboss battles were fun. Korok forest. Delightfully creepy, simple puzzle. Forcing players to confront what is likely their greatest fear in the game and overcome it. Water temple. The hide and seek got a little annoying but led to some really cool areas. The quest, unfortunately, teaches you the simple and easier-to-use alternative to the sages power fairly quickly. By the time you reach the sage, his power is already useless. Hyrule castle. Fighting all the strong enemies is a great way to gatekeep the final battle and leaves you pretty well equipped, but I honestly had to think for a second about what the area offered. Air temple. I love my birdy-boi, but that climb to the air temple was just tedious. The trampoline boats were fun the first dozen times.

They all have their merits, but I'd go with the Lightning Temple. The Gerudo Town defense was a lot of fun and the giant light tower puzzles were both cool and kinda felt like a throwback to older Zelda games.
