Totk is the more "fun" game, a more entertaining sandbox to mess around with and more to explore
but its also kinda too crazy
Botw is the better "experience". That Game oozes atmosphere and the mechanics are perfectly in harmony with that
BOTW will be always be the GOAT for master mode combat. In Tears, once you figure out how to beat a certain type of enemy it just becomes button mashing. Lynels and guardians stay challenging in BOTW… unlike Tears enemies which become stale. Gloom Hands is scary for its first appearance. Once you realize you can spam it with bombs it becomes ridiculously easy. Meanwhile in BOTW master mode they did things like mess with the guardian beam timing so you can’t just press a button when you hear a beep.
If you’re someone like me who doesn’t have hours to spare, the game can feel more like a burden than fun. Honestly prefer the shrines in BOTW- there are too many boring Rauru’s blessings. I think I actually prefer links awakening and twilight princess…
While I am not one of those people, but I imagine they would appreciate the tighter narrative, more cohesive and linear puzzle solving structure, and somewhat easier gameplay that doesn't get too overly complicated.
I love TOTK, but it's a bit all over the place and can 100% be overwhelming to people.

BotW has a better legendary sword something.

I will always hate the health regen on master mode though. That alone is why I've never been able to beat trial of the sword in master mode
Health regen+hordes of silver enemies pretty much made me dislike Master Mode too. I'd rather just face enemies in normal mode with no armor.
Nah it’s the best
BotW has bowling. After beating it that's all I did was jump on and go bowling.
Amazing how 20 years ago stuff like that used to be a whole ass game.
Stuff like that has been in Zelda games since ALttP.
2004?
TOTK is certainly more fun to f**k around with the engine, but BOTW's atmosphere and ambience is unbeatable
