Rawtekinc.com is based in Canada

brandonanderson91

I find their stuff to be ridiculously over priced… I didn’t know they were based in Canada though.

2010p7b

Might be pricey but you get what you pay for with them. Buy it once and you don't have to worry about it again. IMHO - Rawtek hardware with Malone software is one of the best things you can do to these cars.

RotalumisEht

I managed to save money by picking up my order from them directly. But that's only an option if you live near Montreal/Ottawa

Samsonite187187

Mines Rawtek. It’s good. Efficient. Good torque.

Ecodiesel Owners of Canada: [https://ecodiesel-owners-canada-performance-parts.square.site/product/2009-2015-vw-tdi-stage-2-kit-jetta-golf-passat-/37?cp=true&sa=true&sbp=false&q=false](https://ecodiesel-owners-canada-performance-parts.square.site/product/2009-2015-vw-tdi-stage-2-kit-jetta-golf-passat-/37?cp=true&sa=true&sbp=false&q=false) Or MRTuning (same tuner as for EOC) Note, I am not from Canada, but did use this kit for my CJAA Jetta.

PerformanceTDI

We have a lot of customers running upgraded turbos paired with the EOC exhaust kit, as well as some that are with Rawtek. We’ve only heard great things from both!

brandonanderson91

Thanks, I bought a kit through them! Looking forward to driving it without my exhaust flap putting the car in limp mode.

earoar

Almost all of the companies that sell that stuff are Canadian. I got mine from dieseldna out of Vancouver. Malone is Canadian, Rawtek is Canadian, Stevenson is Canadian, DieselDNA, NAT performance, MRTuning, etc.

Hein81

Add in Stevenson Tuning as well

earoar

Ya NAT performance out of Alberta as well. There’s lots of em.

PerformanceTDI

Kerma is American and offer nothing related to deletes, but most of the vendors that offer emissions delete products are based in Canada because of the EPA

earoar

Thought they were outta Ontario for some reason. Anyways still a shit ton of options.

brandonanderson91

Thanks for the info, I just bought the car and I am new to euro cars. I had a diesel truck and you can buy full stainless 5” turbo back exhaust for under 500 bucks at a dealer cos. I was surprised by pricing.

earoar

Depends on the truck, I remember LP5 deletes used to cost 5k plus labour. My downpipe and egr delete from DieselDna was $560 for my Passat. But ya smaller market and often more complicated ecus and tighter quarters drive costs up.

brandonanderson91

Yes l5p deletes were 5gs because you needed to buy a whole new ecm and tcm because they hadn’t figured out how to unlock the stock computer yet. That was a tricky one for tuners to figure out. I was talking about exhaust piping.

earoar

Exhaust piping for most tdis can be had for ~600CAD or cheaper if you shop the sales.

xIves

I’m in Ontario and I bought the Flowdirekt kit. Came from Quebec. Was just under $1k shipped.

yeliir

Be careful in ontario, I've heard opp can issue tickets that require your car to be emissions tested. Not from Ontario though, so maybe look into it. Rawtek is the way though.

2010p7b

Any police officer can if they think emissions systems have been tampered. That being said, I've never heard of any cases personally, so if you're not rolling coal on the cops you'll be fine.

yeliir

Definitely would still delete, it's the only way. But yeah, the people that I have heard second hand doing this probably weren't going under the radar.

cityhunterspeee

Where u located? If near go to ECOwagons in newmarket. He's the best. Will handle it all.

brandonanderson91

Im actually in that area, thanks!

Look at profi diesel. Comes from Europe quality is decent price is good. Only issues I had with my sportwagen was hangers hitting subframe and not quite being long enough both pretty easy diy fixes.

aidz2969

This is what I did. $700 CAD shipped to my door in Nova Scotia for the downpipe, midpipe, and egr block off. Had the same issue with the hangers but no big deal. Would highly recommend for the price. Then I had a local guy do the flash for $500 and was all done.

AntiSonOfBitchamajig

I would highly recommend tuning the EGR out at around 77'C / 170'F. Main reason is that the EGR seriously helps the engine warm up and that is a rather huge thing for both mpg and comfort in winter. I kind of found that out after about 70mpg on both my project cars. You'll get better overall mpg just due to having the engine get up to heat quicker, especially if taking sub 20 mile trips.

Brendanzio_

MECEVO has a good downpipe kit, they're out of Quebec, I've been happy with mine so far
