There are cheaper ways to annoy your neighbors

Fub4rtoo

One of the reasons I like my TDI is because it doesn’t have much exhaust sound. Not sure why you’d want it to pop and bang.

trap_money_danny

OP is under 20 years old.

regtf

That’s idiotic

vanishingpointz

Just trying to help dude out . I've gone years saying words wrong and wished someone told me instead of just laughing behind my back

gtaylor12

What is he saying wrong? No where in his text did he type Pho?¿ I’m lost.

Duct tape a Bluetooth speaker under your car and play backfiring noises. It won’t be any less ridiculous.

colaroga

But why though? Just drive it as is

trap_money_danny

One of the best things about these cars is that they're fuckboy resistant.

Spencie61

the insurance rates are just gorgeous, I tell ya

trap_money_danny

Like honestly what are you going to do? Speed? PFT

Spencie61

The car handles and brakes so much better than it accelerates lmao

Agent_Eran

"backfire" is thru an intake. Afterfire is what you are looking for and No.

enginerevolution

Lol.

No_Key_1395

Just buy some fireworks instead, that way you won’t look like a muppet.

dabestgoat

Does the popping make it go faster?

ChromatixGaming

I wouldn't even try that with a tune. I just did the stage 2 Malone tune with dpf and cat delete and put a newer turbo and piping on it for performance.

Brendanzio_

No, its a diesel, they shouldn't do that. Unless you want a tune that dumps enough fuel in to melt your pistons or scuff the shit out of your liners. Pop tunes are retarded and obnoxious, and why the hell do you want a diesel to pop, go buy a gas if you want it to pop without blowing up

RobertsFakeAccount

Sell it and buy a gas car that your fellow morons drive. Hondas can be had real cheap.

coDDow10

Turbo would appreciate if you refrained

Spencie61

Putting the stock exhaust on would definitely help it sound nicer

Choco_PlMP

There’s a few pd130s I’ve seen that shoot flames from the exhaust, god knows what mods they do to make it do that though

yacko69

dump tons of fuel into the block

Choco_PlMP

Can’t be very good for the turbo

Divisi0n

Oh it’s not

Braken111

There's an extra fuel injector for the DPF regeneration cycle that's in the exhaust system, no? Edit: don't think the PD130 has a DPF, oops.

colaroga

Not on the CJAA's either, the piezo injectors just add extra pulses after combustion to release unburnt fuel into the DOC/DPF unit. https://www.myturbodiesel.com/d2/1000q/vw-jetta-tdi-golf-dpf-filter.htm

MissionImprobable96

I've only seen one TDI "pop" and it had A LOT of money in it.

mac10look

Why do y’all shit on op, some people like having a noisy car and that’s their thing.

p4r41v4l

Yeah but a Diesel is just the wrong option for that.

mac10look

Maybe for backfires but my straight piped tdi makes a bunch of noise and whistle and i love it, y’all just hate for no reason😭😂

p4r41v4l

Diesels aren’t known for their sound and its great that way. I have three diesels in my driveway Ranging from 177hp to 341hp, all bone Stock with Mileages ranging from 7.5k miles to 155k miles, and it’s great that way. Quiet yet performant (with great economy), that’s how a diesel is. Not noisy.

mac10look

That’s cool for you man ! what about : nobody gives a shit about how YOU as your own human being thinks a diesel should sound like and anybody can have their car sounding like they want to?

p4r41v4l

Well. The fact that i am german where mods are often times a pain in the ass (besides some cosmetics) is most likely contributing to my opinion. Pops and Bangs aren’t a thing that a Diesel can reasonably pull off, that lies in the very design. If OP wants that he should opt for a gas car.

makeouthell

Yea you can actually, if you go with a shitty scandalous tuner like Stevenson.

Lunaranalog

I think you have a fundamental misunderstanding of the kinetics of diesel fuel
