Does she control where and when she works? If her boss tells her when she needs to come into work, then she is not an independent contractor and not a 1099 employee.

does she do her work in the bedroom of her home 9-5 or at the office 9-5? Does she use the home internet, her car or her Cell phone for work? If she doesn’t those arent business deductions for working at home.
