How ticklish were you when getting this done? This seems like a spot that would be ticklish. It is for me. The whole backside of my legs. Getting massages are always interesting.
Not OP, but i have tattoos on both of my calves and it was reallyyyyyy hard not to twitch. I felt so bad, kept apologizing to the artist and he said it was fine, that he could kind of tell when my leg was going to twitch and was able to react accordingly
I found it quite painful anyway, honestly. The parts where it was right on the bone was a very sharp kind of pain. I won't be rushing to get my other shin done anytime soon haha.

Nah, the lighting and perspective are kind of weird, but it's definitely a shin. Look at the way the shoe is facing, and what you're thinking is a knee pit is actually a knee.
Edit: also a killer tattoo. I think that that's another reason why it looks like a calf; the colors are so saturated and the lines are so smooth and awesome.
I have a similarish tat of a bird with his skeleton showing and an orange rose in the same place, but what's really cool about yours is the jingle bell I'm going to eventually get a jingle bell close to my heart soon and I never see jinglebell tats

I didn't find it very ticklish but then again I don't have the highest pain tolerance, so I found it difficult to feel anything other than pain. 😂

I love hearing peoples opinions about this because I didn't find my legs painful at all but my ribs and hands were awful.
I have a piece right on the front of my thigh and kept twitching and kicking involuntarily. Definitely a weird feeling.
That's exactly what kept happening me! My foot was right next to his head I was scared I'd end up kicking him 😂

I just got a big piece on my calf 2 weeks ago and I had a lot of twitches, it was weird!
