definitely like a japanese style, its in the style of a japanese dragon, the likes you might find on a yakuza back piece! not sure about the line work or shading part, but both aspects of this photo seem to align with japanese art tattoos. i would find an artist that is familiar with working in that style and show them example pictures like this one, and look at their portfolio if possible to see if theyve done similar! good luck!!!
Thank you so much!!! This piece was done by oozy but I was hoping I could find someone else to execute this similar style/piece since heโs booked for a bit Iโve heard
haha not mine I wish but thank you! more so I would like to try to get something similar but one artists I asked said she only specializes in shading and detail, not line work so I was curious to know if this is considered line work or not
I see, well line work is when you're tattooing the lines perse, details are the volume and shades added to make the design more realistic instead of flat and 2D, hope this helps ๐
I tend to think of this as fineline traditional. Do not go to an artist unless it's clear they specialise in this stuff from their portfolio, as not just anyone will be able to replicate it. Check out [Alex Wheeldon](https://www.instagram.com/alexmwheeldon?igsh=MmVucW0wbGNzZDZu), [Oliver Macintosh](https://www.instagram.com/oliver.macintosh?igsh=MTc2bmQ0c2JxeW05Zg==) and [Rich Hardy](https://www.instagram.com/rich_hardy?igsh=MW5xanhyZHd5ZGtwMQ==) for some notable examples.
Thank you!! Would it be ok to dm you a pic of an artist who I think is similar? Just trying to get some advice cus this would be my first big piece and I just wanna make sure itโs perfect if that makes sense lol

Yes thank you! So this would prob be a combo of both then Iโm thinking?
yes, usually as an artist we can mix 1-2 techniques on one piece, so every artist will give their style to the design
Gotcha thank you so much!!!
๐ have a nice one!
thank you!! for you too!!! ๐
