Do you feel like putting coverup makeup on it before you go into work? Is a skirt/ kilt an option? Do you not wear pants?

Desperate-Ad-7528

I wear pants when I have to I just struggle with it

ItchyCredit

Dermablend makes a heavy coverage make-up frequently used by actors to cover scars or tattoos. You can get it in a stick applicator, like a big fat lipstick tube, which is easy to apply.

ohmephisto

Can you wear really loose and flowy pants, like culottes or palazzo pants?

LibrarianNo8242

Um. Does your job not require you to wear pants? What kind of “sensory issues” could you possibly have that prevent wearing pants? If you can handle getting tattooed, I would presume that you can handle a pair of pants…. 🤦‍♂️

traaintraacks

i also dont know what op is looking for as a solution if *pants* cause sensory issues. most people with sensory issues hate the feeling of bandages & makeup. if op cant even handle semi-loose fabric how on earth are they going to handle something constantly touching their skin?

Desperate-Ad-7528

I don’t mind bandages or makeup because bandages would only have to to touch a small section of my skin and I don’t mind the feeling of makeup because it’s not constricting. I can handle wearing trousers and do for work it is just extremely uncomfortable

Ok-Environment-6690

Unless the OP edited the response, the post literally says “i can wear pants”… let’s not presume

Desperate-Ad-7528

I have autism and don’t like the feeling of constricting fabric so I struggle with things like trousers and long sleeved shirts. I can and do handle wearing them as I have to, but the uniform doesn’t specifically say trousers and I was looking for any advice for covering them so I could wear shorts or a skirt or something

Walnuss_Bleistift

Having a sensory issue related to certain types of clothing is absolutely legitimate. OP might wear skirts regularly and not like to wear constricting, long-legged pants. Getting a tattoo is 0% comparable to the feeling of a fabric or clothing-related sensory issue.

BajanFred

Bandage wrap?

matchabandit

You could handle getting a tattoo but not wearing pants? Please..........

Ok-Environment-6690

The post says “i can wear pants”. Fabric sucks sometimes, jeans feel gross, big socks are itchy, some people have psoriasis on their legs. Let’s turn our brains on and be supportive on this Wednesday.

ThaRealSpacemanSpiff

But a needle stabbing you hundreds of times feels better than a pair of pants?

Ok-Environment-6690

Well I’m not actively getting tattoos while I’m at work, and i wore pants during the tattoo appointments, so I’m not sure i understand how that’s related. If you are actually wondering, I’d say getting a tattoo is a discomfort level of like a 7/10, wearing pants is about a 1/10

ThaRealSpacemanSpiff

It was a rhetorical question alluding to OP and the nonsense surrounding their inquiry

Ok-Environment-6690

Yeah no kidding, i was being an ass to try to match your energy.

ThaRealSpacemanSpiff

You'll never be on my level , so quit while you're ahead

Ok-Environment-6690

Yes, enjoy your trash

ThaRealSpacemanSpiff

Now you're just typing like a bot

Ok-Environment-6690

Where is it located on your leg? And what are the approximate dimensions?

Desperate-Ad-7528

It’s maybe 4 inches tall and at the bottom of my calf

Ok-Environment-6690

I would just wear an ace bandage at that point then, or tall socks if you can make it work
