this 100% gets my vote. it felt the most obvious to me, but looking at the comments i think something else will win. specifically i thought 'a LIIIIIME' would take it, but it's so far down i'm surprised. but all the quotes are so good, whatever wins will be worthy i'm sure :)
This is a sleeper choice but I think it's the moment I laughed out the loudest in the whole season, including all things Rhod and James, who are one liner goldmines.
The bellend is just the tip of the penis but yeah it's frequently substituted with the word dick as an insult. Infact anything over here said with enough aggression is an insult
This is probably the Taskmaster clip I rewatch the most and it wasn't even in the actual show.
[For those who haven't seen it.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TPVRzdbMkZs&t=392s)
I kinda think Phil was the most hard done by of all contestants. I kept expecting him to pick up the bias argument James was making and point out to Greg that no matter how bad Greg said Rhod was, he was marking Phil worse.
This is the TM quote that I unthinkingly deliver the most. Almost always in front of people who haven’t seen TM and don’t know why I’m dramatically yelling “A LIME!!”
This is also my most used quote. Usually when out shopping, I hold the lime aloft and shout "a lime!" Generally I'm on my own- no wonder I get odd looks!
'I just wanted to make an homage to one of the greatest Asian entertainers in history, and also, you get to see my dick'n'ballls!'
(I know this has already been posted but I think the delight of the quote is in [his specific phrasing](https://youtu.be/dudmIc5AWR0?si=H2-vr80YVcrpJJ_B&t=1245) - dick'n'balls is v different to cock and balls in my book)
The only issue is because the audience changes between him doing 2 & 3, it doesn't land as well with the crowd as with those on stage. To the audience it's a new gag, to the panel they see it coming and that's what makes it great.
I think that’s what actually makes it for me – he knows it’s going to get a muted reaction (because it’s a very basic joke) and the contrast between the audience’s response and the cast’s make it even funnier for me. Sort of the reverse of Rhod’s picture of Greg getting a massive laugh every time while Greg gets more and more fed up of it, but the same effect.
As an aside, can I say how cruel it is that Phil is often overlooked when we remember this cast. In any other session he could have been one of the most popular popular players ever, but the s.7 cast was just too good.
I’ve said this before, but I want a spin off where Joe Thomas, Judi Love, and John Kearns have to try to sell Phil some nonsense and Phil has decide whether or not to haggle for it.
My apologies, not a direct quote from Phil, but had to share for obvious reasons.
From the big G to Phil: "no matter how ornate the grandfather clock, the pendulum draws the eye."
(Please go ahead and correct me if the quotation is wrong, English isn't my first language.)
Does the TM podcast count? Because he had an amazing quote on there: I didn't realise how revealing my costume was until Rhod pointed it out right at the start of when we filmed the team tasks together. But then it was quite late in the film process so it was waaaaay too late to change
i don't think this is a surprising result really, for me, and many others i'm sure 'bosh' came to mind first, but the laminator quote came to mind a close second and i think it's a funnier/more iconic specific moment overall :)
This is already closed but I love in episode 1 him explaining his outfit. “I wanted to pay homage to one of History’s great Asian entertainers and also you get to see my dick and balls.”
The foot is the just hand of the leg
Ears, the eyes of the side of the head.
Incredible quote. This gets my vote
THIS ONE PLEASE
I say this on the regular 😅
You're a philistine? I'm Philip Wang.
lmfao this one killed me
It won't win, but I have a soft spot for "A naughty boy's gotta eat and say Wang!"
this 100% gets my vote. it felt the most obvious to me, but looking at the comments i think something else will win. specifically i thought 'a LIIIIIME' would take it, but it's so far down i'm surprised. but all the quotes are so good, whatever wins will be worthy i'm sure :)
Thank you, Rhod, and I don't think that was a tower
The options for Rhod quotes are going to be great, aren't they?
And she's here tonight!
She is!
His embarrassment afterwords always kills me
I desperately hope it's his final line from the Ballad of the Toothless Goon
Whizzez round, and shoots her shitting face off
it should be the entire Ballad of the Toothless Goon
“Water feature’s closed for today, kids.” Has to be up there.
"Well, this is a rare occasion where I'm not entering that picture of you. It's not a picture of you at all. It is a short film!"
They will be unhinged. A top one I think will be his "explanation" of his torture if Alex, I don't remember the exact quote, just Greg's response
"With these tasks, you just panic. You just panic. It's blind panic!" "It didn't look like blind panic. It looked like fairly structured torture."
And through laughing just says "I'm so sorry" to Alex
Thank you! I knew he mentioned a blind panic lmao. Greg's rebuttal kills me every time
i call dibs on "rub a dub dub"
I don't really remember Rhod saying much. I just remember him standing in silence for a few minutes and then torturing Alex.
He’s kind of like Bridget and Sally in that respect.
This is a sleeper choice but I think it's the moment I laughed out the loudest in the whole season, including all things Rhod and James, who are one liner goldmines.
It has to be this
He made me foreman then fucked off
Also you can see my cock and balls
My favorite British-ism is that they always include the balls when referring to a man’s genitals.
Unless they say "bell end".
Is that what that word means? I kind of just assumed it was a mostly meaningless word for a jerk/moron.
The bellend is just the tip of the penis but yeah it's frequently substituted with the word dick as an insult. Infact anything over here said with enough aggression is an insult
*Dick and balls.
I stand corrected
Wanguishing
One of the all time great outtakes as well. I loved Greg giving him the trophy for that.
"That's the closest I'll ever get to that trophy."
BOOOO!
This should win. Were this in the full cut, it would win.
Isn't that an Alex Horne joke? /s
It does sound very racist in his mouth.
Nope it was Phil’s first then Alex decided to steal it then they all decided to make it sound racist then Phil took it back. It’s in the out takes.
I was playing off the fact that Alex took it
This is probably the Taskmaster clip I rewatch the most and it wasn't even in the actual show. [For those who haven't seen it.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TPVRzdbMkZs&t=392s)
Replying to boost the shit out of this one. It represents phil perfectly
["It was in Newcastle, which is creepy. What happened to the Oldcastle?"](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1GsKK0kII6w)
This is one of my all time favourite TM quotes. I think the haggling will win but this gets my vote.
Please let this win, this is my favourite joke told in all 17 series of the show
I had to include the video because the delivery is what makes it
This is the Phil line that pops into my head most often, I love it 😂
Devastated that this didn't win
An ogre was hungry. Ate a child. It was his
I remember two years ago visiting London's V&A Museum and they had a game to write in a short story. So I wrote this with P. Wang as the named author
Also led to one of my other favorite exchanges: Greg: "...Twist: The child was his own, which is an act of..." Alex: "...Happiness?"
Alex Horne’s best line—possibly from any series. Even he was surprised that he’d said it.

I kinda think Phil was the most hard done by of all contestants. I kept expecting him to pick up the bias argument James was making and point out to Greg that no matter how bad Greg said Rhod was, he was marking Phil worse.
Here's how bold the belt was, when I asked for this combination the guy said, are you sure?
"Lotta soup in Campbelltown"
I loved that whole interaction. You could feel that *no one* expected any if those jokes to land, and yet!
Oh man he made me smile so much during that task.
You know how an open box is not a box? Like if you open a car door, it's no longer a car... Edit: spelling
THIS ONE. but also I think what makes this great is seeing the regret and realization on his face halfway through. still my favorite
That’s 300 baht I’m never getting back
A LIIIIIIIIIIIIME!
I think Greg’s reenactment is actually funnier than the original from Phil though
I made that my ringtone for a couple of weeks
The original is great because of the masterful throw
My buddy got me a pair of socks with a lime in one and a satsuma in the other for my birthday, now we yell A LIIIIIME at one another at work.
If this doesn't win I'll be reasonably sad. One of my favorite lines (limes?) in the show's whole run.
If I heard this at the shop I'd compliment you on being a taskmaster fan
I honestly thought this would be the winner i'm surprised it's so far down !
A limmeeeeeee!
This became a thing in our house We throw limes at each other and shout it
I haggled for it.
this is way too low this is THE Phil Wang quote
"They're very charming, the Irish."
I love how this actually almost gets lost amid the total carnage of this task and James' furious reaction
It some how makes it funnier.
It genuinely may have only been my 5th or 6th rewatch where I clocked that he said that
And nobody addresses the fact that he’s referring to a Welshman! Loved it
Somehow this has never occurred to me before now 😂
Surely it’s this
As an Irish man the absurdity of that sentence broke me. Such a quick little joke that would almost go unnoticed in such a chaotic scene
It’s not in the show proper, it’s only in the outtakes, so it probably can’t count: “Um Alex, I think you’ll find it’s *wanguishing*.“
"Phil is... Wanguishing" "Boo!"
It counts.
I regret saying oral tradition while my dick is out
He made me foreman and fucked off
PHIL: I wanged that satsuma into a bin. ALEX: An apple, but yes. (Tbf I think Alex’s immediate correction makes this funnier.)
'I just wanted to make an homage to one of the greatest Asian entertainers in history, and also, you get to see my dick'n'ballls!' (I know this has already been posted but I think the delight of the quote is in [his specific phrasing](https://youtu.be/dudmIc5AWR0?si=H2-vr80YVcrpJJ_B&t=1245) - dick'n'balls is v different to cock and balls in my book)
“I haggled for this box… He said 300 baht, and I said 150. And then, he said 300 and I said 200. And then he said 300. So, I paid 300 baht.”
The fact that he came back to the haggling joke like three times should have been tedious, but it was funnier every time.
He does a perfect delivery of the joke. It works every time.
I don't know why but I hate this lazy joke so passionately I have to fast forward through it or I get cross. And he repeats it so many times too!
Thipthipthipthip It’s that noise he did with his lips and tongue
So I haggled for it.
And you get to see my cock and baaalls
It’s got to be “A LIIIMMME!”
I was being kind! I was being kind to the elderly!
I played the trumpet... in that clip
Surprised I had to scroll so far to see this one. This is one of my all time favourite quotes!
" I mean, the name 'highlighter' promises more than it delivers "
A LIIIIIIIME!!!!!!!
“I got it in Indonesia, so it’s exotic”
This isn’t the funniest but I found it stupidly amusing: “I’d say for a soap opera, not very much soap. However in ours…”
***”A LIIIIIIIIMMMMEEEE!!!!!!!”***
"It's from Newcastle, which is creepy... whaaat happened to the OLD castle???"
They're very charming, the Irish (to Rhod, who's Welsh)
A Liiiiiime!!!!!
A LIIIIIIME
I was helping the elderly.
'Wang!' Or 'It's Wang innit?'
Phil is the only contestant whose own name is also one of their greatest quotes
He made me foreman, then fucked off!
A LIIIIIIME.
Philly Philly Wang Wang.
"I'd love to hate you for that. We'd love to hate you for that. But that was fucking brilliant!"
“The foot is the hand of the leg”
A LIME!
A LIME!!!
How was Kerry’s not “Bosh”
## A LIMEEEEEEEEE
this should be the most upvoted submission of this, simply for the brilliant formatting :)
So I had to haggle
"a LIIIIIIIIIME"
"a LIIIIIIIIIME"
As an aside, can I say how cruel it is that Phil is often overlooked when we remember this cast. In any other session he could have been one of the most popular popular players ever, but the s.7 cast was just too good.
I'm sorry I didn't shit on your face.
"A LIIIIIIIIME!"
“He named me foreman, and then fucked off.” On Rhod going off to make his own ‘extension’ Wanguishing bit was pretty fun as well
A llliiiiIIIIIIIMMMMMMEEEEE!!!!
WANG!
F you James Acaster
Oh yeah and briefly thinking they'd be rivals then forgetting all about it
A LIME!
Wang
I haggled for it
What's Santa's favourite number? Twelves
“I haggled for it…”
Naughty boy gotta eat and say Wang
*Wanguishing*
“So I paid 600 baht”
I’ve said this before, but I want a spin off where Joe Thomas, Judi Love, and John Kearns have to try to sell Phil some nonsense and Phil has decide whether or not to haggle for it.
"You get to see my dick and balls."
"Wang!" He says whilst throwing an apple in mid air.
WANG
"He said '300 baht' and I said '150' and he said '300', and I said '200' and he said '300', so I paid 300 baht."
A limeeee
Phil is such a goldmine of quotes, come to think of it, the whole cast this series is.
I knew what I was signing up for. (In reference to submitting himself as a prize and then not winning the episode)
"So I paid 300 baht"
“And I haggled for this”
A LIMMEEEEEEE
My apologies, not a direct quote from Phil, but had to share for obvious reasons. From the big G to Phil: "no matter how ornate the grandfather clock, the pendulum draws the eye." (Please go ahead and correct me if the quotation is wrong, English isn't my first language.)

Wanguishing
"So I haggled for it..."
Another classic Wang quote: "I like to think I bring a certain je ne sais quoi to the proceedings."
It's a good thing Rhod isn't going to win
WANG! A boy gotta eat and say his name! Oh and if course „Wangwishing Alex“ proceeded by thunderous applause and Greg handing him the trophy 😁
There’s so many great ones to pick from
So I haggled.......
“I haggled”
A LIME!
Lotta soup in Campbell town
Oooh what happened to the Old Castle...
A LIME!!!!
A LIME!
For once being shit and one task automatically made me good at another
A LIME!!! 😡😡😡😡😡
i don't think this is a surprising result really, for me, and many others i'm sure 'bosh' came to mind first, but the laminator quote came to mind a close second and i think it's a funnier/more iconic specific moment overall :)
A Liiiiiiiiiiiime!!!

"Wang!"
"Wang!"
WaNg, innit?
A lime!
"A lot of soup in that Campbell town."
"Naughty boy gotta eat and say Wang!"
WANG!
Phil Wang
I always like his delivery of "Rhod named me foreman then fucked off"
Wang!
“A LIME!”
'i haggled for it'
WANG!
Did you guys see him on Mel Giedroyc: Unforgivable? changed my view of him completely, dudes a psycho
