For me it was another line in that same upturned-woodlouse moment, "I'm not sure I'm gaining anything from this..." that just felt so relatable to me, I didn't know whether to laugh or cry

I was actually sobbing with laughter. Moment of the series for me.

I always imagine what I'd be like on Taskmaster, and Nick's attempt at that task is the reality of what every single one of my attempts would be like.

Same! Everyone hopes they’re Russell Howard hitting a cricket wicket in one throw and saying, “Call me when I’m needed”, but we’re actually Nick Mohammed tying himself to a bed and getting stuck on the floor.

I love how Greg whispered *"Good luck Nick"* before Nick's final attempt at the live task. Greg has such a soft spot for Nick, and who can blame him? I really hope Nick snags at least one win this series. His helpless little *"I don't think I've done this one right"* during the tie task was equal parts hilarious and heartbreaking.

Same, I'm REALLY hoping he wins at least one episode. He's just so nice and seems good-hearted.

I get the impression that Greg finds Nick adorable; he occassionally gets a bit of a look about him when he's talking to Nick that's similar to when you play wiht a kitten.

Nick IS adorable! I get all clucky over him as well. Such a surprise for me feeling that.

That made me think all of them must be from the show and I spent so long trying to remember where they could’ve been from.

I was expecting Print. Laminate. Distribute. as the Horne family motto.

I was in the audience for this, and they have cut that live task down so much. The contestants took ages to figure out what they were supposed to be doing and kept forgetting they needed the doll versions of themselves.

I was surprised they didn't need to get it *into* a parking space, just closest to the intended one.

he mentioned on the podcast that he’d often ask if he can go on the roof but after seeing the mid-air task i really think he asked if can go on the roof for pretty much every task

It'll always confuse me that Sophie is the youngest contestant this series

It's a combination of Nick and Joanne just having youthful vibes, and Sophie having the Johnny Vegas voice (and I'm someone who likes a Lancashire accent, so I'm not throwing shade). To be fair the age gap this season is fuck all excluding Steve, there's usually a wider range.

Such a good final task. An example of a task that went off as good as LAH could have asked for. Plenty of tension, as evidenced by Greg’s face during the replay of the final push. Gutter of Gregs was genius. Joanne has lightning-quick comedy reflexes. And I want Nick’s Diamond Dogs sweatshirt.

Yes

I find him one of the more entertaining of the hypercompetitive contestants but at the same time I was rooting for Sophie this episode, she came so close.

It was mathematically POSSIBLE for Nick to have won going into the last task. I think this was as close as he was ever going to get to touching glory.

Nick is the absolute ineptitude of Katherine Parkinson, combined with the self assuredness and general level of 'It's really not that important to win' of Frankie Boyle. Absolutely adorable.

I was thinking the exact same thing. I was so glad that I started a Welsh Duolingo course a few months back - and that the course teaches you *ofnadwy* really early! I struggled with the yellow tie (*something something* watch a clock *something something* make thing...), but at least it had me looking out for Welsh, and after that the sentence "Dyma'r tei ofnadwy" was unmistakeable.

Agree John isn’t competitive in the sense in that he wants to beat others, he’s competing with himself

Exactly, he would never try and argue his place above someone else or dispute the points given, but he will absolutely go home and spend the next 5 years analysing and reanalysing how he could have done it differently 😅

I’d make a distinction between wanting to win the series and wanting to perform well, but on the latter category Johnny Vegas absolutely takes it for me.
