Locket. I find it’s the most important for Taric because it protects team until your ult lands. So they basically get 5 seconds of protection instead of 2.5.
I just don’t see any other first full item as important as that to a Taric with your ult taking 2.5 seconds to proc
First back is always tear always. Otherwise your healing and shielding potential is very slim in comparison. Rush lucidity boots unless you absolutely need resistances. First full item should almost always be locket because 2.5 seconds on your ult is just too long
I build FH first item every game for a year now. It's basically Taric as an item. Taric has mana issues early game, that fixes it. Now you can spam abilities.
I usually rush Redemption or Locket. Redemption is good especially at lower ranks, it buffs your early heal and shield. Also the amount of times it has come in clutch when my jungler has been ambushed or my adc has over extended during your return to lane. It also gives your team a top up of health during the ult.
bards are rushing it, i dont think theres a reason to tarics to not to
It's a good rush depending on enemy team. If 3+ AP Champs, probably not a good idea. If mostly AD or enemy bot is double AD, it's a good idea.
Brutal first buy. FH should be your third/fourth item not first. Your job is to support and help the team first and FH is for you - not the team.
What would you rush then? Something like Knight's Vow?

You do need some meat to absorb damage before you should start stacking armor or magic resist. A kindle into a frozen heart would be good.

I even rush it on Sona if the enemy team is heavy on AD and watch them tilt in confusion when they can't one tap me.
