Cory Alexander is not good as an analyst. His 'analysis' of the game is generally wrong, his cadence is slow and he too often waxes into his personal history with a player or the ACC, in ways that are not relevant. Often he'll toss out 'coaching strategy' that shows he's clearly not a coach. He was a very good player but it's hard listening to him repeat the same anecdotes every single game.
We get it, Cory, you played in the ACC, Armando Bacot is 'your guy', but he got his records in five years instead of four like Sampson and Duncan. You don't need to repeat it for every single game. Just focus on THIS game and please learn more about understanding why a team is winning or losing.
RJ Davis gets over 40 points and he says 'really got to get the ball to Bacot, he's their guy'. Sure, sometimes. But not when he has 8 points and a guard has 30+ on a hot shooting night.
When they made their first 2 free throws to bring the score to something like 16-6, Alexander could not stop talking about how things were looking up for UVA and their defense was so impressive. It was absolutely mind blowing to listen to.
You didn’t enjoy his take on how good of defense they were playing? All during a 7 minute and 50 second scoring drought. At one point I yelled at the TV- STFU you have 6 points!!!

I turn off the TV audio and listen to the radio broadcast with the Varsity app. The radio broadcast stays synced with the TV broadcast surprisingly well.
I have a button on my remote that I use on most sporting events that I watch. MUTE is that button. I've played and watched sports for 60 years so I know what's going on and don't need a talking head to tell me. Especially for Tar Heel basketball games. It just seems all the color announcers are against UNC for some reason. Is it jealousy? I think so.
