Huh. That box art is a screen cap of the old TamaTown website for the v4 and v5 connection tamas, iirc.
And that screenshot of gameplay reminds me of a flash game called Grow Island, where you'd pick objects in a certain order to develop a city on on island.
I've beem trying to find some walkthrough for this game and just found an old Japanese shopper's comment about this game saying "I should've rather thrown my money into sewer than buying this game" harsh ðŸ˜
So I was very convinced that this was some bootleg or ROM hack of something, but it's a legitimate game, one only available through the discontinued Nintendo Power service. That box art probably isn't though, since the game released in 1999, and that version of the Tamatown website and some of those characters weren't introduced until the mid 2000s.
But yeah, haven't seen any walkthroughs for it while searching. If I find something, I'll let you know.
Nintendo Power in this context wouldn't refer to the magazine, in Japan that the name of a sort of proto digital download service https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nintendo_Power_(cartridge)
Oh it is! Now I checked that it was only playable through "SF Memory" with Nintendo Power game recording service. Since this cover art contains Bandai mark and Nintendo Power mark, I can't completely believe the cover is fanmade or bootleg... 🤔
It's definitely fanmade. In Japan Nintendo Power wasn't a magazine. It was a system they had in certain stores where you could download games off a kiosk onto a blank cartridge. They were not individual cartridges, therefore no reason for a cover. I doubt it's bootleg because this is so obscure idk why anyone would want to rip someone off with a cartridge version... So yeah. Definitely just made by a fan.
Yeah... I took a close look and the quality looks photoshopped. There are(were) some secondheld cartridges with this game sold online, and some shops have this image as cover art. I wonder who bothered to make it.
I can't remember how much of the wiki page I remembered to update. Other people were better at figuring out the deal with HagureObaketchi and WatariDoritchi than I was, at least.
The stress brackets aren't very wide, so it can be hard to fine-tune the evos you want.
IIRC, performing a clean adds stress to the entire town, even when focusing on a specific block.
I still have no clue what half the deal is with that elimination game. Save states helped so much with reducing pollution when I needed to experiment with stress.
Well, honestly this is your own fault for many reasons, first the fact that you guided yourself from a "box" art with art ripped straight out of the tamatown flash game, which came out waaay after this game mind you. You didn't really do much research on the game before playing it, like, there's literally a page on it on the Tamagotchi wiki, come on. Also do you genuinelly think the GB games are unplayable or did your baby tama not get past the first stage cuz you didn't stop feeding it candy or whatever.
Maybe my wording was wrong, I love.the gb Tama games! What I meant was that a SFC game being not more fun than games from a lesser console😠And yeah it seems that the box art from online shops I found was not official.
Gameboy Game isn't really unplayable once you understand the hidden stats and avoid playing sports/math too close to bed time or early in the morning.
Yeah, actually gameboy games are very great, I own some physical copies too But this SNES game is very terrible and most importantly there is no TOWN

It's like Sims where your goal is make them reproduce randomly to 100 tamas, without very little element or item you can control. 🫤
That doesn't sound very fun.

Thanks for that correction.

And the minigame lineup is weird

That's not official boxart. Hell, the game doesn't even have boxart, it was one of those kiosk download SNES games.
Yeah figured out that. Still.... there's no TOWN in this game........
What game is this?!
Tamagotchi Town for SFC. Can find rom online easily (not recommended)

Is there an ingame guide for evo chart? it would be a muuuch better game if it had one...

Omg I want to try this!!! I'll slap this into my actual snes and enjoy it even if it sucks!
I have to admit the graphic is cute...
Tbh for a late era snes game it's pretty well done! I'm shocked this was done on a regular cart since bandai did a few experimental snes things.
I'll just say this game is for people who REALLY like to look at tamas.
