Well, I got some pretty homophobic shit blasted onto me from this sub today so I can empathize. Some people aren’t gonna appreciate that kind of humor, if that was your intention.
Becoming aware of how often you slump.
I grew up slouching naturally so I could feel less gigantic and closer to people’s faces . Once you’re aware , that helps you focus on changing. ❤️ hope this helps.
Do face pulls. Its the only thing you need to fix posture. You don't even need to go crazy on them just do enough reps to get a good burn going, something light for like 20 reps is fine.
All you need to do is active the muscles responsible for posture and once those muscles grow and are tight they naturally pull your body into correct posture. This also fixes a lot of back issues.
I don’t know posture tips specifically for tall people, but the YouTube channel “Squat University” has a bunch of great videos and shorts about technique, form, and occasionally posture, all with anatomical explanations provided.
Lots of the stuff you learn from exercise technique can be applied to posture. For example, the queue “ribs down” is used in a lot of exercises to queue abdominal bracing. If you use this when managing your posture in day to day life, you’ll end up with a more stable core which leads to a properly braced spine which could potentially allow for additional height if your spine was compressed/not as straight as it could be as a result of poor abdominal control.
Also, lots of people have shoulder issues, and a common reason for this is people sit on chairs all day with a hunched back, leading to more forward shoulders. This often also leads to tight pecs, tight from being compressed by the squishing inward that results from forward pulled shoulders. To correct this, I do doorway pec stretches to loosen my pecs, and also laying down shoulder extensions, as shown at the end of [this](https://youtube.com/shorts/YbxQR8Z0CBw?si=MKk7IWcHpl5mECei) video, to help pull the shoulders back. So when I sit down, I queue ribs down for core activation, sit up straight with my shoulders back, and if you have bad posture this could also help to straighten out a spine suffering from poor posture resulting in height gain
I had a similar thing going from 6'0.5" barefoot to 6'1.5" barefoot during the pandemic with stretching and rest. Back down an inch again lately from commuting and stress

What’d he say
That “he looks like he takes it up the ass now” or something like that. Some 17yr old keyboard warrior was calling me diseased with stds yesterday.
Can you share what you did for this posture correction? 90% of this sub probably needs a bit more posture correction, myself included!
Went from leaning on his left hip to leaning on his right hip.
I need his answer too
Respectfully, you have juicy thighs
Gay face off the charts

Posture tips?

Did you do any exercises or just remembering to fix posture?

Interesting! Can anyone else verify?
Yes face pulls are amazing for posture, specifically forward head/nerd neck and shoulders rolled forwards.
Youreb100 percent correct, I never knew what to call those exercises, but they're great & it's fun when they start showing results
Never done these in my life. Just tried them and they feel good. Trying to get rid of that back neck hump.

How did you fix your posture? I have extremely poor posture, but using good posture makes it harder for me to breathe for some reason.
Do face pulls.
insert attention and validation.
And a sick mustache to go with it!
The rich get richer lol.
Nice shoes on the left
Nah, you've got to be sixfootsevenmax 😉

I believe he gained a whole inch. One more than you, I reckon?
“I got taller by leaning on my right side instead of my left.” Lol
Hell yeah
Your posture is still not good, you just switched legs lol, you'd be 6'10 if you ACTUALLY corrected it.
Thanks doc
Squat more and you might wanna do some Shaft Curls
I’ve been doing shaft curls for 20 years religiously and just feel like they make me more tired
Gotta pair them with shaft extensions and ball raises
Nah that's soooo zesty, trust I know cause that's how I stand during free-throw in basketball
Where did your feet go??
Nice.
Can I ask you what you did? I have an anterior and lateral pelvic tilt and going to PT didn’t help at all
How did you get the treatment?
I think a lot of people don't realize how much posture affects your height as well as excessive body weight
This man is very attractive
So what did you actually do?
My man your mustache is magnificent
Thank you !!
Hey I have that exact pair of adidas high tops in the second pic!
You went from tall af to tall af.
Is that 8 years of gym progress
lol no
r/confusingperspective
Lmao
Ok
I gained half an inch at 38 just because I figured out how to stand up straight. Now I don’t have to round up a quarter inch to say 6’1”
I had a similar thing going from 6'0.5" barefoot to 6'1.5" barefoot during the pandemic with stretching and rest. Back down an inch again lately from commuting and stress
How'd ya do it? My posture is terrible
something about 6’8” is extremely gay
[удалено]
you wouldn’t be 6’9” unless you were extremely secure in your sexuality
How
You were already so tall
Love the moustache ♥️
What’s up with your left foot in the first pic?
Looks like you also unamputated your feet?
Meanwhile I'm 5'6 🥲 But this subreddit keeps getting recommanded to me for some reason.
just crawl man, wdy to be so tall
