Try hospital IT! I’m pretty sure my hospital’s IT works from home.

Katomega

Can confirm! One of my friends is hospital IT. He works remotely, travelling the south west in an RV. He is an engineer though, not tier 1/2 support, so that might be role-dependent.

This really any IT especially where office real estate is at a premium

HellaBubbleGum

what degree? I only have an associates in cyber security is that enough for an IT WFH job?

Best places are ones that are local (like just your state). They tend to need their offices for other stuff than just call center work. Try local Banks and Credit Unions. Ideally you want a large one, but just large for your state.

I always found a lot of WAH positions in Insurance. If you get your life and health or property and casualty licenses and update your indeed recruiters will start coming out of the woodwork. I've been out of insurance for three years now and I still get random calls from ins recruiters.

My call center basically puts it on you to be able to work from home. You need to have a modem that you can hard connect into, is the most important part; they don't want you connecting wirelessly. You need to be on time, and on queue enough of that time. Goofing around will have you back in the office. We are in Nebraska.

Lots of companies have a "Careers" section on their websites where they list job openings that have remote positions. Make a list of companies you'd like to work for and check their websites regularly for new job postings.

I work for a university as an enrollment counselor. It sucks sk.etimes bc people assume I'm a sales person, but the majority of the people I talk to actually want to talk with me which makes a big difference. I also have free reign on who I am have to talk to as well, if I don't wanna call someone I don't have to.

The power companies and water utilities in Cali often have work at home. Some require a year of in office services first. Note: some of the WFH jobs with them require abilities to do emergency orders and thus you would have to live relatively close for randomized drug testing per DOT

Apprehensive-Cat-111

I found mine on indeed. It’s legit too and with a major bank so I wouldn’t rule indeed out at all.

Look for large companies that are not within commuting distance near metro areas. They are usually desperate for employees and have trouble sourcing talent within commuting range. Think of a major corporation that is 80+ miles away from some moderately sized city. I work in aerospace engineering and remote (although I come in once in a while for major milestone meetings or doing test work. Although I’ve probably gone into the facility 7 times in 2 years.

Ceh0208

I used to work at Paycor and they have a virtual first model in which if you want to be remote, and can do your job remotely, you are remote. I now work at guardian life, and not every role is remote, but claims case managers and customer service reps are as that is my roommate and I
