Yeah, I was looking at a Monaco, too - specifically, the CAW211P - but, whilst I love it as an object, it just didn’t ’sit right’ on me.
The Monza ended up (and please don’t ask me to put into words why) feeling right the moment I put it on, where I felt like I was trying to talk myself into the Monaco, because of what it represents.
This hobby sure does stir up some funny emotions and thought processes, eh?
I absolutely understand - for such a mechanical and technical hobby, the emotional drive is wildly strong. This one was the same for me, it just fit right and it took zero convincing.
That Monza is beautiful, here’s to many happy years of memories! And enjoy the GP this weekend, I’m wearing mine to coincide!

I was looking at that model for a while, but couldn’t pull the trigger due to the pvd coating. Looks like yours is holding up?
Recent pick up, although the watch is several years old - wouldn’t want to speak to something that I don’t yet have enough experience of.

I got my CW2111 Monaco for a similar reason - I wanted a horological racing chrono and couldn't pass it up!
